GvK and I were talking about World of Warcraft and both had the idea of a guild of Court Records members.
I've been hoping to find some CR members on the server I'm on, Maiev, and so far I've only found GvK.
Here is my character info for anyone interested.I want to use this as a guild discussion place as well.
Do we want to use the name "Court Records" to show where we are from or do we want to use something different?
I'm excited at the prospect of a CR guild, I hope this works out.
Also, for anyone interested in trying this here is a link to the 10 day free trial.
From what I have seen you can join guilds in a trial account.
I know there is already a WoW topic lost in here somewhere but I didn't want to take it over for something like this, and I felt this deserved it's own place.
EDIT:
I am now starting the list.
I won't assume that someone posting and showing interest will be on board. You'll actually have to say specifically that you will be part of the guild to be on the list.
I will do what I can to find you once we are ready to start.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
As of now I am going to start collecting the signatures of any CR members already in the game that I can.
I have the charter and am going full steam ahead with the plans.
As of now the guild name is "Court Records", and once we start I plan on using the blue and gold Phoenix tabard design. If there are no OBJECTIONS I will go with these.
Now is the time to get everyone together. I need 9 people to sign the charter before we can start.
If you have any questions to ask our resident WoW expert Velo will be more than happy to lend his assistance.
Don't hesitate to ask him! He was extremely helpful when I first started and continues to share his knowledge with me and for that I am very grateful.

We don't have to have Court Records as the name of the guild...but this place would be awesome to have all the guild chatter for now. Way to go, Don. Good idea.

I won't get the charter until we have enough people to get this started.
Also, I figured it'd be fun to try designing the guild logo.

sadly after doing one particular alterac valley it turns out that Angerfist, one letter away from my name, is the name of some racist rapper apparently. Also I've been guildless for a while now, so my armory appears to be slightly faulty.

I tend to focus on exploring and helping other players, that usually ends up with me not gaining levels very fast at all. =P

A damn huge game. Make sure not to get too crazy and only delve into the bits you enjoy.
If you're talking about how many hours it would take to clear the game... well, you can't, really.
To see all the game's content? You'd need to play at least 18 characters to Lv 70 and send them all to different areas of the three continents.
We're talking an easy 20000 hours of play, and that's not a typo...
Completionists beware: this is not for you. Again: STICK TO THE STUFF YOU ENJOY AND TO HELL WITH THE REST. Play as much as you want to and can manage. If you really get into it, because of the social nature of the game, you will need to fit it into your daily/weekly routine somewhere. ^^

The guild is supposed to be something for the CR members who play the game.
So probably what we'll do is have a signup on here as a requirement to join.
I want to give CR members who do play a chance to work with people they know.
I was told that the game is only as good as the people you play it with. The people on CR are some of the best people I know.
1 + 1 = 2 ;)
And I also want to repeat what Velo said, if you do play only do what you like, don't try to do it all.
I'll probably only have two characters. One Alliance and one Horde.

While "1+1=2" made me laugh out loud for some unknown reason, I wholeheartedly agree with the above quote in the sense of that the game IS only as good as the people you play with, although, really, that applies to all things: Forums are only as good as the users on it, Video games are only as good as the Competition, (In regards to Halo or Brawl), and much more.
The only thing that gives me solace currently is the fact that the 2 people currently on the list aside from me, since I have positive opinions on both of them... err... Basically, I think highly of both of them. Why didn't I just SAY that?!?
Well, since it's 10:00 AM and I've got nothing else to do, I guess I'll make up an account on WoW... By the way, is it "10 Login Days" or "10 Calendar Days"?

Your account would still be there, you just wouldn't be able to play until you got the game.

I'm allot like Geo in Megaman Starforce 2, I don't want to be the one getting all the attention, I don't want to be in the limelight, I just want to be helpful to others. It's what I enjoy. =)
(I'm just a smidge more outgoing than Geo is. =P)
Just got SF2 btw. It's rapidly becoming a second Battle Network 2 for me, it was my favorite for the whole BN series.
Like last night/this morning, Sklarvv and I had some epic times killing baby animals. =P
I'd kill them with one hit of one of my dual maces and she would... poke them with a stick for 2 minutes.
It was a total blast! =D

ANNOUNCEMENT!
As of now I am going to start collecting the signatures of any CR members already in the game that I can.
I have the charter and am going full steam ahead with the plans.
As of now the guild name is "Court Records", and once we start I plan on using the blue and gold Phoenix tabard design. If there are no OBJECTIONS I will go with these.
Now is the time to get everyone together. I need 9 people to sign the charter before we can start.

Not the best idea for someone with a low income, but at least the Demo should help me get a few days of fun out of it! And now that that's out of the way, allow me to reply to the above post:1st Paragraph reply: Technically, the "Host" is always one of the selling points! Mind you, as soon as someone says that they joined "Just for Donald Serrot!!!" I'll be the first one to yell "FANGIRLS! RUN!!!" and break out my Level 4/100 Fire magic (I don't know what it's called in WoW, okay!?
)2nd/3rd Paragraph reply: It sounds a lot like "Contact"!... AWESOME! Also, I guess I'll need to use a microphone as well and a headset... Great, I wonder if there's any Voice Modifiers that are cheap...
Remaining Paragraphs: I'd start with people like The Doctor and Lord Nathaniel first... and don't bother with Tails (I ranted about WoW players with him a little while back, and I'll be posting the transcript on the same day that I post a picture of myself where people can see my Totally-Existent-And-Not-Made-Up tattoos that are on my back.
), since I doubt he'd join... But if you think you can convince him, it'd probably gain a lot of ground in getting others to join! Also, try some of the admins, unless you want ME to ask (I might as well ask them another question... I haven't been filling my Quota lately. )
