his attacks would be objection, take that, hold it, udgys gavel, magatama psyche lock
or just a whole new super smash bros format game with the PW characters
they could range a ton of attacks from different characters

WELL ANYWAY, I figured Phoenix's special attacks [didn't think about the regular attacks] could go something like this:B: TAKE THAT! [throw evidence]
up B: HOLD IT! [recover somehow XD;; STEPLADDER?! ]
down B: OBJECTION! [ kinda like Falcon Punch, only more awesome cuz it's Objection ]
side B: ? Maybe something like...Crime-Scene-Detective-Ninja-Dodge? Ahahaha.
Final Smash: Psyche-lock break ? Or have Maya come and do a Channeled-Mia double Objection or something. XD XD
I didn't really think too hard about Edgeworth's special moves, but I started laughing when I imagined it cutting to the judge going, "I see no reason to further prolong this trial. I hereby declare the defendant...GUILTY." *GAVEL SLAM* Character goes flying. Ohman. XD

Nice idea! For TAKE THAT! It will be random like Olimar's Pikmin harvest...for Final Smash, maybe the enemy(ies) would be declared GUILTY, and...smashed with a gavel?

The thing is they're all Capcom Characters. I thought that SSB was supposed to be just Nintendo characters (excluding Sonic, who, while fun to play as, I hope was a one-time sellout). Snake debuted on the NES, so he's excusable.

I actually made a moveset earlier in the year.B: Objection - Points and attacks their weak point for massive damage.
Down B: Hold It - A counter with a deskslam
Up B: Take That - Rides a stepladder and leaps up
Side B: Magatama - A chain to ensnare the opponent appears

No, Snake's not excusable: he did NOT debut on the NES, he debuted on the MSX2 computer. I'm actually hoping for Capcom to catch on and follow Sega's lead (didn't you notice how almost all Sega games after Sega decided to drop console production came for Nintendo consoles?), and reach an agreement with Nintendo so they can include Capcom characters in Smash Bros. Personally, I'm rooting for Original Rockman, Rockman X, Rockman Zero, and possibly Leon Kennedy or Dante Sparda. =p

But Turnabout Courtroom debated on the GBA (a Nintendo System) an on the DS (a Nintendo system) so Phoenix Wright could be counted as a third party Nintendo character. :)

Psyche-Lock should have a much different effect... kind've like Negative Zone, only for certain things... Idea: "Psyche-Lock Break" allows the player to pick up Pokeballs and Assist Trophies, and CHOOSE what comes out of the Pokeball/Assist Trophy.

For the first two points, I got 1 word for you: Lucario.
It's offensive, but lets be honest: His move was Overpowered for him specifically... And Wolf and Falco they were just LAZY to, so I can't use THEM...
And if Pokeballs and Assist Trophies were turned off... to be honest, it could also just be a Psyche-Lock on ABILITIES as well... like a "Random Choice" type of thing... it would make sense, for a brief period of time, people can't guard... or use Smashes... etc.

Ya, except you can't rip characters from things without permission like that. Final Fantasy was origenally for Nintendo systems, but they can't just rip Final Fantasy characters and use them how they wish without Square's permission. And like I said, if they were going to have Capcom reps, Pheonix WOULD NOT be the 1st one on their list. I would be shocked if Pheonix got in over Megaman and a Resident Evil rep.
I think Snake got in because the guy behind Metal Gear Solid begged them to or something, and Sonic probably got in because if they open it up for 3rd Party characters then Sonic is probably the most deserving. In both cases though they probably got their permission to use their charecters.

F Smash: Door appears in front of Phoenix. Phoenix does a sholder charge and breaks the door down.
D Smash: Defense bench appears in front of Phoenix. Phoenix slams his hands down, creating a shockwave surrounding him.
U Smash(this one is pushing it): Static bolt(leftover from Manfred's taser) emits from the top of Phoenix's head. Good hitbox(similar to Lucas' up smash).
Taunts.
Up:Arms on hips, confident look.
Side:Scratches back of head, embarrased look.
Down:Shocked look(the breakdown).
B:Press(HOLD IT! appears in front of Phoenix, if an opponent is in the center it stuns them, does damage either way).
Side B:Evidence swing(Swings a random piece of evidence with varying damage, i.e. The Thinker statue, Metal Detector, Schinchinto(sp).
Down B:Objection(OBJECTION! appears, a counter move like Marth, Ike, and Lucario. Phoenix scratches his chin and will go into his finger pointing stance if attacked, word bubble size and damage is proportional to the attack being countered)
Up b: Present(Throws a random piece of evidence, varies in speed, damage, and flight path depending on the evidence. i.e. Autopsy reports do little damage but are thrown like a frisbee and are fast and go far; or Max's bust is powerful but only goes a short distance(like Bonsly).
Final Smash:Psyche-Lock
(Take That! appears, all opposing characters are ensnared in Psyche-locks and cannot move or attack. Phoenix is free to attack them(But they won't move after being hit. When it ends Phoenix regains 50%(or half of his current %), just like the game).
Assist Trophy:Franziska Von Karma
Unleashes a whip combo, final hit does great knockback(also uses the whiped sprite).

Technically it shouldn't matter if he doesn't own their equipment by brawl's standards he should be able to use the items anyway.
For example Lucas has the rope snake as his tether recover and taunt but it doesn't belong to him and he doesn't use it.
Also the Cypher aren't used by snake and work against him really yet they are his recovery move.
So make it Franny's whip Phoenix's Up Special Recovery move.
His down special should be the defense bench slam.
Side Special throw random evidence with a small percent chance he'll throw a gun for smash power!
Basic special should be a counter attack where he pulls out an evidence sheet and taps it and if he's attacked he counter attacks with his point and shouts TAKE THAT!
His final smash should be called, The Final Verdict.
Phoenix leaps into the air offscreen (same way Snake does) and the background becomes like a courtroom setting.
Now the player can push three buttons to make different effects happen. One button makes a magnified Phoenix's head zoom in from the left side with speed lines with him shouting headbutting and knocking back opponents on contact. Another button would make the magnified Gavel smash down the middle damaging enemies there. Another button would make Edgey's head zoom in from the right damaging them there.
After an alotted time Phoenix would do a big magnified objection point spanning the length of the screen, the only defence being above or below it.

Heh. I was thinking the exact same thing xD
Except:
1. No Take That! for the final smash
2. Side B becomes Present and thows evidence, and has a Take That! (the TT bubble appears but doesn't do anything)
3. Up B becomes some sort of recovery move ._. The worst that would happen is Up B would be a psyche-lock tether and the Final Smash becomes Super Objection.
