In the background you can see three people. One of them is Marvin Grossberg. The other two look similar to Diego Armando and Robert Hammond. I read their profiles and found out that they both used to work for Grossberg.
So I take it that these three will probably be in Perfect Prosecutor. Either as characters or at least references.
Edit: My bad. I thought this was concept art on Perfect Prosecutor. Although, this picture was given out at about the same time as Perfect Prosecutor was revealled, so it's possible that it might have something to do with the storyline.

Currently in the picture Edgeworth and Phoenix are still kids whilst the others are grown up
It is true that diego is 7 years older than them both however it depends on what age phoenix and edgeworth are in this picture

The artist said that he featured Edgeworth at the center of the first several snapshots because they were hinting about him getting his own game. The fact that they keep showing Diego in a lot of the art does make it seem suspicious, as if they might be hinting at him reappearing, too.
If Kenji is a fanservice game bringing back Diego seems like a safe bet :P

So best info I've heard is that GK takes place before and after GS3.
The pic has a slight link to GK as the artist said in their comments that he was drawing an Edgeworth-centric pic due to the announcement of Gyakuten Kenji. So it's possible the other chars might be related to their train of thought on GK.
