ON HIATUS
Yes, it's true. "Ralldan Mynder: Ace Attorney" is on hiatus. Why?
Well, the last days, the main reason for this inminent hiatus was school. School is really hard to make apart when you are 13 years old.
But now, school is over, but, as the last update mentioned, I have this father's-girlfriend who, reasons unknown, restricts me from touching the computer after 60 minutes from me sitting down. Yes, it may sound childish, but remember, I am 13 years old. And it SUCKS.
SO, RM:AA is ON TEMPORARY HIATUS, that is, stopped until I have the chance to work on it fluently. With causes being "Personal Reasons". I wish I didn't WANT to work on this, but believe me, I do. And I CAN'T work on it. I know, it sounds unfair, and it is. But what can you do when your father's girlfriend treats you as horseshite, your father knows it but ignores it, you don't have a mother, you don't have nowhere to go, and you are 13 years old. Nothing.
Sorry. I swear this game will come out some day. Even if it is in 1, 2 or 3 years, but believe me, it WILL be real.

P.S: Just a note, I WILL work on side projects with other fangames, everything that doesn't include using casemakers or making sprites, like writing storylines. The reason behind is is that another computer I can use, my grandparents', doesn't have XP, and doesn't support it, and they can't afford another computer. Unless PWLib can run on Windows 98, I'm afraid I'm off.

1) Something like the second one, but all the way round. But I can't tell anything right now, sorry ;)
2) Sorry, if it was misunderstood, but I meant a case which has NOTHING to do to the rest of the game, only the name of the characters.
Anyway, I'll upload the picture again when I'm back home (School's out for two weeks, yay!) and I'll post some backgrounds I've made, inculding the Defense and Prosecution's benches. That'll be around... Um... Maybe wednesday or thursday.

PyWright is another option, it is less work to script than pwlib, and runs on a wider variety of machines. Not as flexible though. I am working on an editor, but I wouldn't recommend waiting for it (don't know how long it will take or how good of an editor it will be, the scripting is the main element).
Anyway, great BG's, hope you keep working on this.

PWLib requires a bit of patience, but allows you to design a lot of new functionality right on the engine.
PyWright is easier then PWLib, but less flexible (as saluk said). If you can stand scripting, it is an option.

I don't know if I forgot to say it, but PWLib doesn't work on my computer (and KSA knows that from feet to head :S). That's why. That and I hate doing sprite sheets, I just make animated sprites with Paint and Microsoft GIF Animator. Anyway, I'll try with some casemakers (including PyWright) and see which one suits RM:AA better. Thank you for your comments, nevertheless.
Update coming VERY soon. Maybe today. Some backgrounds and characters. I said maybe...

Um...Honestly I wouldnt expect comments until something like a demo is released or something. If theres nothing like that, theres not much to say except "good luck" or "looking forward to it" or along those lines. When I started my fangame topic I got alot of comments, but I also posted a demo with. Just saying.

It happens to me in PWLib and AIGE: I mentioned a lot about the render issue fix (for example) and only a few people cared to comment, so it's expected.

I know, but some people may think I used goggles on Mattador just to try and copy Godot. No, they are goggles. And not for fashion.

I think he means it'shard to distinguish features. Like, you can't really see his hands or anything since he's so monochrome.
A little shading or colorful skin would do wonders for the boy.

And his skin is white for a reason. A BIG reason. Which, as I said will be gradually revealed in case 3 and 4, and REVEALED in case 5.
Oh, and by the way, backgrounds and script (not game one, like the story) for Case 1 are completed. The next update will contain Witness' Stand Background with Witness' Stand Scenery, Payne's sprites (DeMatador style!) and a link to a GyakutenWiki article. Next thing to work on: Sprites for the last characters in Case 1, and to start making a demo!
Anyway, here's a chapter list to keep the trail of updates, which, when PWLib 1.1 testings are completed, will be much more frequent:
-Episode 1: "A New Turnabout"
-Episode 2: "Turnabout Betrayal" (Fixed)
-Episode 3: "Shadow of the Turnabout"
-Episode 4: "Turnabout Brothers, Part 1"
-Episode 5: "Turnabout Brothers, Part 2"
-Bonus Episode: "Turnabout in Scarlet"
(Nevertheless, the game will be released when all 5 cases come out, Turnabout in Scarlet will be released, as its name says, as an optional bonus, which won't include any canon information, just maybe a sneak-peek for-OOPS! Said too much!)
Stay tuned for the next update! And sorry for the lack of these, but school is HELL this last trimestre (here in Argentina we start in March and end in December)

Anyway, count on it! But beta testings will start after the demo is released, and that could very well be end of October or mid November.
ANOTHER THING:
I'm thinking about custom music. I have some things I could use but I need them re-done (I did them with my cell phone). Can anyone, if given a tune, re-do it with the instruments I tell? I would appreciate that SO MUCH.

@MrCheeze: I noticed most of the AA sprites use a "mah-oh-eh" pattern while speaking. So that would be "closed-big-small-mid" pattern. At least that's what I tried to do.
Well, next update will include the last background until the Demo (sorry, PWLib being crashing A LOT with my PC, so the Demo will be out most likely in November. I have to re-install Windows XP, and that will be as soon as I can, but not until the first days of November. Sorry again), the Court Room Overview, with the respective Ralldan, Judge (sprites also to come on the next update), Payne and Defendant Jeremy Teans (sprites to come on next update too) CRO (Court Room Overview) sprites. I hope this update will come somewhen around this week. The Judge is complete, but I'll release it next to Jeremy's, and Dean Tooit (victim)'s profile.

I think I use some Windows functions that would only be support in Windows XP or above (XP changes a lot from 9x versions).
