Association (AJBLERWA). To join all you must do is state your reasons for hating them. Mine are:
1. They are, in all technical sense a BOY BAND (THE HATED MUSIC GROUP ((Albiet a fairly straight boy band as straight as a boy band can GET anyway)) ) and thusly I am automatically inclined to dislike them.
2. Disney Channel... I have something to say to you... NOT EVERY FUCKING "STAR" YOU HAVE CAN SING, AND I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO DEAL WITH OVERHYPE OF FREAKING JONAS BROTHERS MEDIOCRE CRAP. AND WHEN I HAPPEN TO WATCH YOUR CHANNEL I DON'T WANT TO BE INTERRUPTED BY SOME "JONAS BROTHERS: LIVING THE DREAM" SHIT!

I must agree, that IS true. And I do think their music is crap and they are overhyped. But this is for anyone who wants to express their dislike of the band, and it can't really hurt anyone, to quote Ben Croshaw (a game reviewer but the idea is generally the same): "I mean if you like the game, you really shouldn't need a definant Yay or Nay from a reviewer..."
In this, the point I wish to get across, if you like them, were not gonna say "FUCK YOU YOUR BENEATH US", and in return, you shouldn't let us get under your skin.

I can't say I've ever watched this Jonas thingy show, so I will sign up on the principle that all Band Show's are a mindless waste of time and energy, are unfunny and drab, and that nothing can beat Josie and The Pussycats (And even that was mediocre at best).
HOWEVER:
I challenge NLK to a sword match to the death for his general comment about the Disney channel. With it, he's insulted 'Fillmore!', which is one of the best cartoons ever made, and I'd like him to exempt it from his list of Disney hate, or accept my challenge.

1. disney are making too many musical stars and 80% of them are horrible, including Jonas brothers.

That's essentially how I feel. I respect Disney's older work, but all their new shit drives me nuts. And the Jonas Brothers are giving me elementary school flashbacks to when all my classmates wanted to marry the members of Hanson.

I remember the shows from my youth in the 90's, and despite my bias I still think they were the best. They were smarter then, and more aimed at the family as a whole (Which allowed some notable double entendres) Nowadays they're completely aimed at the lowest denominator. Disney, Nick and CN used to be kings, and now they're a joke. I'll still watch Spongebob when it's on (yeah, I like it; it's very well written in it's early to mid seasons), you might find me watching PPG late at night and I miss Keenan and Kel. But it depresses me that brilliant shows like 'Sheep in the Big City' and 'Filmore!' were shoved aside for this live action bull-crap.

Disney, has this nasty little habit now, ever since High School Musical came out, believing that every one of there stars is a musical prodigy and should release a single. Prime examples: Mitchell Musso, Selena Gomez, and Emily Osment. NEWS FLASH, THEY LACK TALENT. You can tell any one of Mitchell Musso's or Emily Osment's have been edited. It's like watching a disney animated movie, and telling the difference between the voice actor and the actual singer.
To quote Entertainment Weekly on Selena Gomez's rendition of Curella DeVil: "No one should even submit even children to such a horrible butchering of a song."

People are stupid.
I mean, it amazes me to see something get so popular in such a small amount of time, when it isn't even all that great.
The only reason they get good is because its put on disney and a bunch of little kids rant and rave over it. Disney is pretty much telling the kids that its awesome and then they start making a huge fuss over it. Put anything on TV starring a bunch of mediocre singers and BAM its popular, when other bands deserve the spotlight more than these people ever will. It sickens me really. It truely amazes me how easily kids can be pursuaded into liking something so much because some big wig corporation tells them to.
Ha, I'm rambling now, I'd better stop.
But that is just my 2 cents on the issue.

From what I gather, they're the lastest product of the several "Disney-manufactured" boy/girl bands hellbent on reviving the image and saturating our TVs and airwaves with their grating, saccharine, melodramatic bubblegum pop, like 80s glam metal minus the drugs and sex.
They're not "big" but they're certainly hated probably for some completely unfounded and unjustifiable excuse. Not that I would know, since I haven't heard any of their music.
EDIT: Okay, I just listened to "Burnin' Up" and I'm going to give my honest opinion.
I liked it.
*mass shock and horror; chaos and pandemonium; ten plagues unleashed upon the earth; seas run red with blood; fire and brimstone rain from the sky; cats and dogs living together; mass hysteria*
Sure, they're not the most original band - in fact, they're 100% generic - but the lead singer has a nice, soothing voice that isn't grating on the ears and completely mellow. The guitarist provides quick and catchy pop rock hooks and the drummer is...the drummer (what more can I say?). Part of me wonders if most of the hate originates from angry teenagers who aren't yet old enough appreciate their music for what it is. This certainly doesn't mean that I like the Jonas Brothers nor does it mean that they're one of my all-time-favorite bands. They're no Black Sabbath or Ted Nugent, but as for providing easy-on-the-ears pop music they get the job done alright.
