I'd like to give you some friendly advice. While you are undoubtedly excited about an Edgeworth game, your post makes you seem like a mindless fan/boy and doesn't provoke the seriousness/respect you might like. If you were to write in your post why you'd like them to be in this game/what resons you'd have/and possibilities, it'd make your topic possibly an intresting one.
I'm not saying to shuttup, but I'm giving some advice as an internet dweller.
Depends what game it takes after. :P

But, in the words of the great philosopher Jagger, you can't always get what you want.
Besides, if the game creators 'officially' shipped Edgeworth with somebody, they'd alienate a good portion of the fan-base.

I highly, highly, HIGHLY doubt any Emaworth, no offense. If Ema really loved him so much, even during Apollo Justice, don't you think she would've mentioned him when Apollo mentions Phoenix Wright?

although I think this thread is a waste of space, I will argue against Ema not mentioning Edgeworth, the line is "A prosecutor should be cool of wit and furrowed of brow. Less "glimmerous" and more "simmerous"... you know?" this is clearly refering to Edgeworth, that said the only thing canon is Ema's idolising of Edgeworth.
