Anyway, I've given up on Boss Battle mode, as it's just too hard (even on easy!). Not even my best characters (DK and Ike) can make any headway.
The best thing to do there is to keep fighting, and closely observe their moves. Figure out the best way to avoid it, and jump/roll/sidestep at the right time. It's better to focus more on dodging their moves. There's no time limit, do no need to rush when it comes to damaging it.

There is NO BAD CHARACTER in the series. Everyone and anyone can develop a preference to a different character, from Ike and Wolf to Olimar and Jigglypuff, there is NO Solely Bad Character in the game.

You can't beat easy mode? Just play as Toon Link and do his arial down A.
And ROB is awesome.
i use fox for boss rush cause of his blaster and one of his a moves in the air
also R.O.B is one of my fave characters in brawl 0_o
oh and the only character i dont like using is Mario his final smash is so avoidable,he's not fast and not strong but i guess i just dont like all around fighters

Ah, the "Red Rings of Death"! As Superninfreak said, just do your "Regular Dodge" to avoid them, with PRECISE timing... Rolling Dodge will screw you over, and Jumping Dodge is too risky.

Nah, but seriously, Most characters have a significant trait where they can be a "Main" for someone. Yoshi is almost never mained by people. Heck, I know more people who main ice Climbers than Yoshi... He just isn't easy to main for most people. Ones that are easy are Fox, Ike, Lucas, Sonic, etc.
... I main Samus though.

I think the biggest overall issue people have with Yoshi is the lack of definitive heavy-hit moves. Most of Yoshi's moves aren't really fit for direct combat, something that's sought after in fighting games, and the ones that are usually don't do much in terms of damage. His long-range style is impeded with a projectile move that isn't all that easy to hit with, and a rolling move that can easily kill him if the player isn't careful. That isn't to say Yoshi is completely useless, as there are some great Yoshi players out there, but a lot of people easily overlook him for those reasons.

To avoid it, they require the sidestep dodge. I'm sure you already familiar with it, but just in case, to save any confusion, it's Shield, then Down. It only lasts a split second, so time it right. There's a certain amount of time between each ring. Sidestep Ring No. 1, wait about half a second, Sidestep Ring No. 2, wait half a second, Sidestep Ring No. 3 and you've survived. It might help if you get a good beat going, to help you time it correctly.
Because of this move, don't stay airborne unless he's standing around. If your character is a floaty one, he may begin his Ring attack before you've landed on the ground, and well, good luck dodging it while airborne. If he teleports away for any move while you're airborne, hold down Down to drop to the ground ASAP. You need to be ready to avoid his next attack.
If that still didn't help, I could try to find a video of someone dodging the Rings, if it helps you judge what time to react.
Also, as for Kirby, the cutest thing is copying R.O.B's standard B and using that. The sound he makes is SO CUTE!

And do you mean that fight where I played Lucario? I remember having some terrible button-to-action lag in that one that tripped me up fairly badly.

And there are a few things I'd like to mention ^^;;.
The thing about Game and Watch that people are talking about (earlier people said they don't like him)... you haven't faced his true power unless you saw a game and watch flying at you waving a turtle (trust me.. fear for your life if they know how to wave that turtle). And also, little fun fact... if peach uses a toadstool and mario capes it... peach takes a lot of damage (she got instant KO'd in the match with my friends.)
The turtle outranges Snakes f tilt....
What I like about rubik's cubes, is that everyone wants to know how to solve one, but also hate you for knowing how.

Also, these are some rather nice Brawl character hacks. I'm especially fond of Metal Sonic and Shadow, but they're all mostly just as good. They even have a rather familiar lawyer on there, too.

they are kind of similar, the main differences are sonic's is faster, slightly easier to control and has better knockback, whereas pikachu can press the attack button during the final smash to increase the range of the move, pikachu can go through solid objects during the attack, sonic can't. Sonic's is better really
