I'm guessing the "logic" mode might be something used to organize or combine the evidence in a way for you to use it when confronting the person associated with the case. Like, for example, matching a key with a lock and then dusting the key for prints to see who used it, or something like that.

Interesting... when the characters are talking it doesn't look like they're using AA style sprites. They look more like the official artwork. That's pretty cool.
