I'm amazed no one's mentioned Phoenix's "I'm a lawyer, not a botanist!" line from 3-3. XD

Beginning of 4-3. In Klavier's dressing room, examine the light and I think the guitar.

In 1-3, when Phoenix is talking about why Cody didn't take the picture because the Steel Samurai lost.
:object: : He couldn't handle the truth!

In 2-3, Maya actually makes a reference to Phoenix's Japanese name!
:maya: : What about Naruhodo A. Wrighto?
(I would love to know what she says in the Japanese version.)

And let's not forget the infamous line in 2-4. (It may be off a little. I'm going by memory here.)
:wacky-edgy: : I never expected the Wicked Witch of the witness stand!

I can't remember what game the next one comes from, but I think it's from Apollo Justice, where one of the caracters says "This is like that Movie, 'The Grid: Revelations." Speaking of which.

Spoiler: Apollo Justice spoilers

I think I am the first one to mention the John Lennon reference in 4-3.

I think it's something like:
:kyouya: Nobody told me that there would be days like these.
:odoroki: Strange days indeed.

That must be a reference to the Lennon song "Nobody Told Me" which has almost the exact same lines in the refrain.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this one... in case 3-3, when you go talk to Maggie at the detention center, she tells you that she thought the victim was a musician because he had a CD on the table that said MC something, but she couldn't exactly remember the name. Then Maya says "Maybe it was MC Screwdriver!" And Phoenix goes "Get real, Maya. Who would name a band MC Screwdriver?"

I'm pretty sure that's a reference to MC Hammer. xD

If you mean this one:

:moe: "In 1972, a crack clown unit was sent to prison by a clown court for a crime they didn't commit. These clowns promptly escaped from a maximum security clown car..."

That's an A-Team refference.

Here's another from JFA case 3:

:moe: "for instance, it was such a tough crowd last night i had to smash watermellons"

Gallagher reference (how DARE he steal his act to save his :zenitora: )

:maya: This is madness!
:phoenix: No, Maya, that is SPARDA.

Parodying the movie "300". XD It's in 3-3 when you present anything irrelevant to Lisa Basil. Some people also claim it's a nod to Capcom's Devil May Cry also.

Case 3-3 was full of awesome ones besides the "SPARDA" quote.

*Phoenix wonders if Victor Kudo has an "infinite ammo code" for throwing birdseed.
*Phoenix refers to Lisa Basil as a "ghost in a shell."
*When Phoenix and Maya examine the CD in Tender Lender, they wonder why Tigre isn't listening to "Eye of the Dragon(?)" or the theme from "Rocko."
*If you examine the security camera in the detention center, Phoenix says "Smile, you're on Candid Camera."
* When discussing where the poison came from, Phoenix says that it's not something you can find at your local "Cost'Mo." This is probably a reference to Costco supermarkets.
*Jean's "U are un imbecile" song (if you present something wrong for the Psyche-Lock) may be based on an annoying prank flash animation which displays smiley faces that sing "You are an idiot, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha."

I want to marry whoever did the localization for the PW games- some of the references had me rolling on the floor. When I saw the Police references in AJ I laughed then ran downstairs to show my sister just for the lulz factor. Ah I know there were more quotes/references I had seen but I can't remember them right now. A lot of good ones though. :will:

I can't find a thread to post this in so i'll post it here.

Phoenix is not the first "Wright" in Nintendo games. Before Phoenix Wright the're was "Dr. Wright" from the SNES version of Sim City (whose physical appearance is based on Will Wright, the creator) .

Which reminds me of how many people waiting for T&T to come out said that they were "Waiting for Godot". Things like that make me proud to be an AA fan.

One I noticed:

In 4-2, when you examine the red guitar in the Gavinners' dressing room, Apollo says that it's name should be "Emo". Congratulations, Capcom localizers. You've just dated you're game by making reference to pop subculture. (Or would it be counter-culture...? idk)

Also, and this might just be me, but did anyone else's mind go immediately to Rick Astley upon hearing that one of Klavier Gavin's songs is called "Never Gonna Lock U Up" (or something like that)?

Maybe it was a combination of both? XD
