Durge opened his eyes. The glass on his tank had become filthy and he could see nothing through it. He opened the hatch at the top and pulled himself out of the tank. He grabbed his Katana and tyed it around his waist.
"I guess it's time to see what's going on today," he said sighing. He then proceeded to his bookcase. He grabbed a Bible and slipped it into his belt. He then stepped out of his cold, damp cave and out into the barren wasteland of what was Earth.

Nightmare wasn't sure how to convince Apocalypse to let her join him without showing him her powers.
"My name is Nightmare. I know telekenisis and can get inside people's heads to cause them to see illusions. My telekenetic powers are much stronger than that of anyone else around here." If he doesn't accept me, what will he do? Try to kill me?

Verite stepped outside, into the cold desert night. She felt the moon's rays and became aware of the coming sandstorm. She sliced her hand across the air, thus effectively breaking the sandstorm into two smaller ones. She directed them to go opposite ways. She turned to Lightning and said, "Where now?..."

Zero closed her eyes. She could "feel" the area around her. There was Lightningbolt and Verite standing in front of her.... Tsunami behind her.....

She spread her range of feeling. The remnants of the sandstorm did not change direction from the ways Verite directed them. They were safe. She opened her eyes.

"The sandstorm is gone. Very good, Verite. I guess we didn't really need to help at all."

Durge was getting bored now. His feet were starting to hurt and the low oxygen levels were making him queazy. He stopped and sat down, taking in gulps of air. He put down his katana. And decided to practice a trick. Holding his ktana with telekenis? Now THAT'S a super power. He lay his katana on the ground tryed to concentrate on the swords hilt. Almost immediately; the sword lifted of the ground. Next, Durge tryed spinning the sword in mid-air. Durge lost control and the sword went flying towards his face. He jumped to the side to avoid it and the katana clattered to the ground... he needed more practice. He decided to use telekenesis on a less harmful object. like the bible...

Zero felt something... She closed her eyes and spread her range of feeling again.

...There it was again. A faint surge... it felt familiar. She spread her range as far as she could. There was no mistaking it. About 80 miles to the northwest someone was using a power very similar to hers! Telekinesis?

For the first time in three years she stepped out onto the sand.

"Lightning. I just felt something... someone is using the same power that I have. And I know where it's coming from. Can.... Can I go with you to find this person? I know I'll get in the way... and I know I can't defend myself well. And I know that it may be dangerous, but I may finally be able to find out who I am or where I came from."

Zero surprised herself; she had never been so bold. But she couldn't stop herself. She didn't know why... but she needed to know who this person was.

((Yes, the surge that she felt came from Durge practicing his telekinesis.))

The wasteland city had been home to the army of the dead commanded by Mortuus for a while. Bones were strewn over the city in a senseless fashion - whether they were a monstrosity from Mortuus' brain, or simply leftover bones was unknown. However, a former skyscraper was being rebuilt... with bones. Any hole had became filled with bone but the source of the rebuilding was unknown. Beneath it, protected by seals of superpowers or dark magic, lived Mortuus, supervising the construction of the Tower of Bone. If anyone tried to break the Tower now... their bones would join the Tower. However, skeletal bandits, let off their leash by Mortuus, roamed the deserts, making sure that their presence was never left.

Sator walked through the desert, his cloak making sure he was seen. "Come to me, denizens of the desert. Let me purge the chaos from your souls..."

Aletheia could very well see the large tower of bone, but was not interested in the slightest. "No fun playing with bones..." She sighed and continued on her way towards the exit of the town. She saw a very odd sandstorm coming this way, so she froze it, causing a peculiar ice sculpture just before the city. "That's too small for a normal sandstorm..." She smiled insanely and beckoned the water of the air to her. She blasted off using the water as a jet and yelled through the night, "WHERE ARE YOU SISTER DEAR?!"

"Ow!" Tsunami said, now face-down in the sand. She popped her head out and spat it out, and realized there was a sand shield in front of her. Deducing they were hiding from someone or something, she whispered, "What did you do that for?"

Name: Ty Cruze
Alter Ego(s): Nyhroma (Hero); Plemeomen (Villain)
Powers: Ability to gain powers while he listens to music, depending on style, tempo and emotion in it (powers vary in strength depending on song). Repeated use with no breaks wears him out physically and mentally (so I can't godmod. XD).
Appearance: Messy, dark hair, bright blue eyes, and a large set of headphones around his neck. He always has a pair of earphones linked via wireless jack to a soundbox on his hip. He always wears bluejeans and a brown t-shirt, and carries a backpack full of different kinds of plant-seeds. As Nyhroma, he wears a large white cloak that hides his face, and as Plemeomen, he wears an all black jump suit and mask with red stripes.
Background: As a kid, he lived with his mother, just the two of them. During the Apocalypse catastrophe, me managed to escape harm, but knows not the fate of his family or friends. Since then, he has been raised by those who took him in, until he was old enough to travel on his own. His powers developed a little before the disaster, however, he doesn't know why.
Weaponry: A large, durable, orange and black soundbox/MP3 player he developed after a few years. Made to be solar powered, and holds a multitude of songs and music, both "classic" and"modern" for the time period. Has a headphone jack, as well as some ridiculously powerful speakers.
Personality: Rash, bold, and occasionally quick to anger, he really tries to be a cool customer. While he listens to his music, his persona shifts with the song's mood.
Any other info:
-Finds true peace in flowers and plants. Seeing as the world is in ruins, he has made it his personal job to bring flora back.
-He has a special 30-second track that he made himself and only he listens to. Grants a special pair of powers at once.
-Currently, he plays both hero and villain for the fun of it (villain to "teach" survivors to be more prepared, hero in case something bad really happens). Uses specific powers for both out of all possible, only Super-Strength for Plemeomen, and only telekenisis for Nyhroma.

The city was barren, silent, dead. Dead, until a faint sound began to pierce the dark. It started quietly, and began to pick up form, finally taking shape of a musical beat, a rhythm. It began to echo across the ruins of the city, infiltrating every nook and cranny, invading the peace and breaking the illusion of death.

Ty was walking along the dirt-covered roads. He had become bored with the silence, so he unplugged the wireless jack from his hip-side musicplayer (although he still had the ear-buds in his ears) and let the speaker project it across the empty city. The acoustics were great, considering there wasn't any other sound.

He let out a long whistle, and listened to it echo.

"An airship? Retrieve it, or destroy it. The soldiers and bandits should be enough to take it. Go." Mortuus was irritated by the music now in his ears. It disturbed the quiet. However, one of the skeletal soldiers still scuttled up the Tower of Bone, hidden by the remains of the building and the bones replacing the holes. About half-way up, there was a small group of soldiers standing next to a catapult... mostly made of remaining material and bone, with something from Mortuus to make it all work. The skeletons were fired from the Tower out to the desert at speeds that made it hard for hawks (if there were any) to see them - ergo, probably hidden from view. They hit the desert at even higher speeds, shattering their structures and scattering their bones. They just reformed, their bones returning to the standard places. The dead moved towards the sand-shield, before simply rushing at it. They didn't get through on the first try, but there was always a second one.

"Bones... hmm...." Verite released the shield and let the bones come near her. "Bones aren't exactly, earth... but close enough..." She pressed her palm on the skeleton closest to her, causing the thoracic cavity to break into pieces, thus breaking the skeletal structure. "And brittle at that..." She was then concerned with a speeding ullet of water coming straight towards them...

Zero screamed in terror and threw her arms out in front of her. The water never hit her. She slowly opened her eyes and saw that she had stopped the water in midair with her power.

"...I didn't know I could do that!"

She concentrated and the water started to move again. Zero split the water whip in two: she sent one part to hover in front of Tsunami so that she could fight and sent the other flying right back at her attacker.

The sound of music played faintly across the city, the echos of sound rebounding continually... except near one building.

Ty began to approach an abomination of a structure, a large skyscraper made of bone. The thing had a nasty feel around it, the air reeking of death beyond a normal death... and the fact that no sound seemed to rebound from the building made it seem even more ominous.

He stopped well away from it, noticing the movement around the base of the building.
"Well, this is an unusual day." He said to himself, his voice dancing upon the words in time with his music.

He gave himself a bit more distance, and then tried something foolish.
He replaced the earbuds with the heavy headphones hanging around his neck, and began to crank up the speaker on his hip, the headphones blocking the sound as the noise began to rise to unbearable levels.

Aletheia caught the water and seemed shocked. "My, a telepath is quite a rare thing indeed..." She turned her doubt into a smirk. "But from your reaction, I'm guessing your powers are a tad weak." She concentrated the water into a circular motion with a high speed. "You don't have enough control to stop something more complex..." She froze the edge of the water to make a makeshift water saw comprised of ice. "Let's play again!" She shot the saw at Zero, using the left over water as a propelling force.

Zero jumped out of the way as fast as she could... and barely got out of the way. The ice saw buzzed the ends of Zero's hair right off and some of the water sprayed onto her. But the saw kept going and was heading straight for...

"TSUNAMI!!" Zero screamed.

Tsunami screamed dramatically, but she broke the saw into a bunch of shards and formed an ice sword. She was a little surprised she was doing that, but she didn't show it as she stood next to Zero, ready to fight.

Nightmare waited for Apocalypse's response.

Aletheia seemed bored now. "Using my own power against me isn't a great idea..." She stopped the shards and shattered them. "Try something else. Or I can't guarentee you will survive." She formed water chains which encircled arounds the girls. "If you going to try to control them, I say that's nigh impossible. The other attacks were fueled with my energy. However, this one is a continous energy absorber." She smirked. "And without training... you won't know how to stop it." The chains started to grow smaller and closer around the girls.

"LIKE HELL!" Tearing through the bones, Verite took various bone fragments and made make shift darts. She threw them at the chains, which made quite an impact. The bones broke into many pieces and the water chains evaporated. Verite was now gathering sand for the next attack.

Aletheia started to laugh. "Oh if it isn't my DEAREST sister..." Aletheia formed ice crystals around her. The two girls behind Verite were still her targets, but she just HAD to have some fun with her sister. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" She looked on. "Isn't this fun, YUUMI!?" She raced at her with all the force that was humanly possible and shot the hundreds of ice crystals at them all.

Tsunami knew it wasn't smart to try to stop the circles completely since the woman seemed to be too powerful. However, she saw a way out for both of them. Tsunami prayed her inexperience wouldn't kill either her or Zero as she grabbed Zero's hand. She pulled some water towards them. "On my signal, jump," she whispered in Zero's ear.

"Who now?" Nightmare asked turning to Lightningbolt. She sighed. "What are you doing? You're outnumbered and have no hope of beating or capturing either of us, so you really just did something iincredibly stupid." She used her telekenisis to lift Apocalypse back up.

Verite didn't know what the two of them were doing, but she began to pelt the oncming ice shards with a sand shield. She then threw the sand shield straight at the now escalating Aletheia. "Dammit it all..."

Aletheia jumped over the sand with relative ease. "Your getting rusty Yuumi..." She froze the sand around her, in an attempt to stand her ground. She then noticed the two brats formulating a plan or something. "Well, well, what are you two scheming?" She launched a water whip at them.

Verite shot the whip with sand knives. "I don't know why you have a sudden affinity for weaker targets, but you better not forget I'm here..."

Powers: Keen perception of surroundings and others, and has an arsenal of specially made guns. He can view and understand everything around him clearly, and has the ability to assess vantage points, cover locations, and he can 'read' others, for example, to find if they're lying or not.

Apearance: White, straight hair and a thin face. Usually wears long, baggy clothing, but comes prepared with padding just in case.

Background: Since infancy, Michael was able to perceive people and was always a good shot since he first held a gun. One day, he was forced into a situation where he needed to get revenge, and he killed a man. That man was a priest, however, and Michael was run over as he left the church. During his near death experience, the world was destroyed, and he was sent back as a half-human to keep as much peace as possible.

Weaponry: A selection of specially made guns. He can call on them when he wants, but can only have two at once. The catch to his weapons is that they are not as deadly as others usually are. They damage, but are not meant to kill. He has a selection of assault rifles, pistols, a non-lethal sniper rifle, environment opening grenades, plus smoke and flash, and a powerful rocket launcher to create new vantage points and cover.

Michael's eyes darted around, looking among the rubble for cover points or possible enemy hiding places. He snuck along quietly, his demonicly summoned pistols at the ready. He knew the chances of enemies nearby was slim, but here in the city there was countless places to hide. Michael could perceive positions, but he couldn't see through walls.

Noone here... But what's that sound? His whole body tensed up. Sounds like... a fight! But... From where? I'd say... The east. Michael rushed into a building and blasted an Eastern wall. He knelt down and pulled his rifle out, taking aim. He could see several people engaging in a... Superpower fight? Michael shook his head. How did THIS happen? Well, let's get to peacemaking. Urgh... Micheal jumped from the building and ran towards the fighters, arming himself and watching around him.

Ty's ears were ringing.
The idea of trying to call over the shapes as with a blast of hard rock had not only failed, but failed miserably. The beings over their were completely unphased, as if they had no ears to hear the shatteringly loud music... which also was a troubling matter, as only the glass directly next to him broke, while everything near the bone-tower was undamaged, and his music had lost it's echo while playing near it.

"Maybe this is a matter for another day." He mutter to himself, removing the headphone-muffler and digging at his ears a bit to stop the ringing.
He left his headphones and earphones out of his ears, the music player off, and began to hastily make his way away from the bone-tower.

The sounds began to return the further away from it he got, and he faintly picked up the sounds of action, of something going on in the distance.
"My brain is saying to leave it be..." he spoke outloud, to nobody. He kept going at a brisk pace anyways, unbeknown to him towards the battle occurring.

Tsunami used the water she had pulled to make a small wave under both her and Zero, launching them over the water ring quickly. Then, the wave disappeared out from under them, since Tsunami didn't want to give Aletheia any chance to use her own wave against her and Zero. She landed and unfroze the sand around Aletheia. I can't attack her head on, but I can help Zero and Verite beat her.

Aletheia duly noted the girl's attempt to catch her off-guard. "At least you can think..." She then turned an icy mist around the area and disappered into it. "Can't.... Catch..... What..... You...... Can't..... SEE!" She laughed into the mist.

The large bone tower stuck out in the vast desert, and so did the superpowered combatants. Michael slowed down and stopped, planning his next move. It wouldn't be a good idea to go in guns blazing, especially with no cover, he thought, so I should improvise. I'll find one straggler, get him to help me, then just dispose of him after. He nodded and looked around. There was a large rock nearby, the perfect place to hide until he could spot someone who was away from the group. He ran behind it and took out his binoculars to get a closer look. Seems like there's some kind of gang war going on here, he observed. It's no free for all. And that bone tower sure seems ominous enough to be connected to this world destroyer.

Ty was approaching the source of the racket.
"Past this building, across from this one, over this rubble-- oh, wait, there is a window through it." Ty was tracing his steps as he went, keeping sure to know where he was going and leaving. No real reason, just passed the time.

Before rounding a corner, he knew the city stopped just ahead, and so he stopped as well. He had to decide who or what was ahead, but knew it wasn't the time to play around-- with all that noise, it could very well be a fight, two warring armies or some street punks fighting over turf.

"Might as well go hero." He muttered, pulling his backpack off his back and removing a bright white cloak from it's depths. He furled it around him, making sure that the hood covered his face well enough-- it was thin enough material to see through at close distances, but thick enough not to let others make out his facial details.

All set, he replugged his wireless jack into the music-player now hidden under the folds of his new attire, and set the music for his new persona.
"Nyhroma, for you, we get some 'divine' rock." He said to himself, switching the music to a driving rock piece. Instantly, he felt the shift of his personality, and his powers came in.

He was now Nyhroma, the hero of the innocent, and wielder of the psychic mind... or at least that is what he wanted people to think whenever they saw the white cloak. It was still him, but with a slight alteration and a new power, given by the music.

Using his newly-granted powers, he made himself lift off the ground, his cloak fluttering in an nonexistent breeze. He began to float stealthily towards the direction of the conflict, still staying in the shadows but making his way over, passing several large rocks along the way...

Zero tried to sense Aletheia. Sure enough, she was above them. She silently picked up a somewhat heavy rock silently with her telekinetic power.

"She's right..... there!" she yelled as she hurled the rock with all of the force she could muster into the mist, directly at where Aletheia was now hovering.
