Since Tigre was planning on taking Elg's MC Bomber disc, and had no idea that he would have won the lottery, why did he have a bottle of poison? This has had me stumped. :udgy:

Well Tigre couldn't have known about the lottery win, but he wasn't about to take any chances that he might not get the CD. He needed the money he could get for that disk and if Glen had found another way to get the money, then Tigre was in trouble. He was very through in every aspect of this plan.

That made me lol.

The way I see it was.... Viola was around right? Otherwise there would be no one disguised as Maggey. Viola seems to be the one who poisons coffee. Now I'm pretty sure that Viola heard Glen screamiing "YAY I WON" and probably knew what was up. I do realize that Viola does not like Tigre's actions... but perhaps gave him the bottle of cyanide while Glen wasn't looking.

Or something like that. Blame Viola. :P Though Mia's theory is logical as well.

:zenitora: seems both cruel, paranoid, and eccentric enough to carry a bottle of potassium cyanide around with him for "protection" XD. I got the feeling that The Tiger was pretty much fed up with Glen's not making good on his debt and would have offed him anyway.

Wasn't the MC Bomber worth significantly more than Glen's debt?

Yes, about... several million for the least. And Furio really wanted to get his paws on it, or else Bruto would kill him.

Yeah, and in fact, there's nothing strange about that.
If you don't pay a loan shark back, they expect a lot more then what you owe them in “compensation”.

Viola didn't participate in the actual murder itself, only the cover-up, I thought? The poison was clearly Tigre's doing (as we see in the introductory scene), and Viola didn't show up until Tigre needed her help for the coverup reenactment and planting the evidence on Maggey.

No, Viola was there, Maggey saw her, she just didn't do anything until the cover-up.

Furio is really stupid. If he wants that Virus so badly why did he just not beat the crap out of Glen and took the damn CD?
What shall Glen do? Go to the police and say "OMG, that guy stole the virus I programmed"?
No he would just shut the f*** up and buy some stuff with his new money.

Glen would go to the police and say, "OMG, that guy beat me up and stole my CD!" The police wouldn't know what MC Bomber is (it's not unleashed until a month after Glen's murder) so he could easily say that it's a music CD or something.

Ok, then he doesn't beat him up and just take the cd. The police won't take to much effort to catch a cd thief. Also Armstrong and Viola should confess to his advantage, so there is no danger whatsoever.

I doubt Glen cared about the CD. I can't imagine he didn't have an extra copy on his computer or a USB key or another CD or somewhere. I also doubt Furio could've just taken the CD... it was on Glen's side of the table, so if he tried to reach for it, Glen could get it first, then to get the CD Furio would have to beat up Glen, and then Glen can go to the police.

And then Viola and Armstrong would probably testify that Glen "slipped on a wet floor" or something, thereby getting Furio off the hook.

He swept on a wet floor, bruising himself all over his body and giving himself a black eye?

Don't forget he can prove that the CD is his by showing he has files of it on his computer or something (I'm sure he'd have a way of doing that without revealing that it's a virus)

You forget that the police seem to be very "intellectually challenged" in this series.

Please remember, also, that Furio probably was smart enough to know that causing the smallest scene as possible would have been a lot better than causing such a large scales scene, such as punching the crap out of him.
Remember also that, like Mia said, Furio had every angle figured out. He planned to have this transaction take place in Tres Bien's, where Jean, whom he had wrapped around his finger, would be. So, naturally, he planned to take that CD with little resistance as possible.

"But why didn't he still just beat him up if he had Jean and Viola to cover him up!?"
First off, could he truly, truly assure that no one else would be at the restaurant? Yes, no one goes there, but it's still too risky. Also, what if he'd beaten him up and Glen lived? Sure, maybe Furio couldn't be convicted for beating up (which still is a little unlikely) or stealing the CD, but the police would sure notice the virus (like they did) and with Glen alive, the police could use Glen's knowledge on it (he made the dang thing!). Yeah, he broke the law; but it's still help that I think Glen would have given. Especially if he was cut a deal.

Okay, I know some will say "what if Furio killed him when beating him up?" The evidence is just too substantial. "But the police are stupid!" yes, and Furio would lose to trying to prove that Maggey killed him. That would be difficult to do; it's easier to prove a small, petite girl killed a guy through poisoning than through punching him.

*Sigh* that help? :edgy:

People often assume "doesn't talk normally" with "he must be stupid zomg".
But he's a LOAN SHARK... so one would assume he's been in the business for a while, and thus knows his "profession" inside and out... no matter what his level of intelligence might be.

So no matter if he's smart or stupid, he's going to take the way that offers the least effort in him getting his money. The "path of least resistance" was the fastest (yet illegal) way of him getting what he wanted QUICKLY. Of course, Glen WAS going to hand him teh CD, sure, but there's always the chance of "last minute changes of heart" or "I'm refusing to give you the CD" type conversations.
It's not illogical to assume Tigre would carry some poison on him for a "just in case" scenario.

Yes, I'm babbling, but I don't even see how this is a confusing discussion. It seems very straightforward (and painfully obvious) to me.

AND yes, Viola wasn't there for the original murder... or at the very least did not take part in it.

What's funny is I'm playing through this case RIGHT NOW. LOL.
