What is the moral to Phoenix Wright?
It could be:
-The police are dumb.
-Murder is bad.
-Fictional characters have bad hairdos.

What do you think?

Never seek the simple solution because everything is always WAY more complicated.

the first 3 seemed to be "the truth will always prevail" although T+T to a lesser extent.
Apollo Justice on the other hand seemed to be rather confused about it's moral.

Some moral (which is true for RL too) I found is that...

No matter how bad the situation is, sooner or later, everything will turn out good if you desire and fight for it.
While bad luck, conspiracies and unfairness exist, so do miracles to compensate all the bad.
I mean, usually equal amount of good and bad happens to all (good) people. Sometimes life can be unfair and coincidences may be really bad (1-2, 4-4 flashback, etc.), but then expect to have some great luck in the end (2-4 and 4-4)

The truth is usually complicated and rarely in black and white.
Never avert your eyes from the truth, no matter how ugly it is.

Also: it's important to be there for your friends.

Kind of weird that the morality speech that defines the game was given by someone who hasn't actually received a name yet.

I have to admit, there seem to be a million morals in each game. There's at least one you can interpret yourself, Edgeworth always says one, etc.

What would be interesting to me is to have one case where the murderer really is someone you don't want it to be; someone you actually trust, and maybe committed the murder accidentally.

I'd like the moral to be if you kill someone, you're screwed.
But the stepladder thing works better.

Does Ace Attorney have to be an Aesop though? I personally don't want it to be.

Hmmm.

The moral that I got from the game was "friendship is valuable". I mean, aside from the obvious "the truth will set you free" moral.

You can whip the defense attorney if you are scary enough.

It's a little OT, but worth mention, I think

During a very heated mock trial my very wise law professor tolled us something that really stuck;

" You ( prospector and defense attorney) are NOT enemies. You both are working towards the same goal few lawyers understand that anymore".

I have a really hard with this one . I'm working on it, but it's just too deeply engraved in my personality I guess.

While AJ was still concerned with the "truth" its morl seemed to be that no one is entirely guilt free, not even the innocent.
