A Vera Misham I'm working on

Spoiler: Vera is from Apollo Justice, a spoiler sprite
Vera is such a cute character, but her child-self lacks a drawing animation, even though she has a sketch pad, I decided to try to animate her based on her adult sprite, but it's so hard for me, I've edited this sprite, but I'm not happy with her arm that is holding the sketchpad, also I need to create an open book animation before, and a show picture animation after this. If you would like to take a look at this, maybe fix it up, or beat me to the punch in creating this, give it a go =D XD Competition may help me finish this.
BTW, this is all done by editing, the sketchpad was edited in paint because it doesn't add evil anti-aliasing when stretched. And If you can't see it, her drawing hand was lifted from her adult sprite.

Your sketchbook is very fabulous, the way you used Vera's 'nail-nibbling' sprite head is really good. She's real cute! <333
The only problems are, yeah, her right hand and I sorta think her elbow area looks a bit unnatural with it not moving, though it's hardly noticable at all.
All in all, very cute sprite.

I'd like to see her holding up that sketch book to show off her drawing, but that itself would be a challenge indeed, especially since you'd have to make a front facing sprite of her. (That's too much work indeed.)

I tried to fix the arm up, It looks much better, I also tried to animate the other arm, but for some reason it doesn't come out on a gif, so now I don't like Image Ready anymore XD since it doesn't want to do complicated frames.

Here it is so far, this was a nightmare. I had to form each individual frame separately then put them together because image ready hates tiny moving parts, This was pretty hard, I wish I could have done the moving arm better. How does it look to you? Just one more part left...

The sprite is really coming and looks amazing. But I have to admit, there is something bugging me about it. It's just odd how a square magically appears at the bottom of the notepad when she starts to flip the page. Otherwise, this is brillant.

Do you mean the blue square in the back? I decided it would look nicer if both sides of the sketchpad had a face on it, instead of just the front, it is so cute after all, it doesn't magically appear in the front though, the animation just loops XD. I mean, if this was normal, she somehow draws and flips the cover over draw again and flips the cover over, which is impossible unless every page is actually a cover XD. Now i just need to make a picture of her showing her artwork, which would be hard.

When you consider how it would look in game, it does magically appear. Her other sprites do show a square there, so once she's done drawing, the square would pop back into existence.

It needs more editing, but you get the idea =P. The book is too small in the last frame and I forgot to add a spiral spine. Worst of all, it's too choppy, I may have to add in more frames or edit how she flips the book so it moves more smoothly. I may also need to edit the front view more, I'm not happy with her pockets and her shirt.

In the game, the images don't loop, it would either end with the final frame of her holding the picture, or it would go into a talking loop, And her other sprites only show a square when she holds the book with the face pointing outward, in her drawing animation the book's back is facing us so it's blank, we see the front while she flips the cover over. Because I was too lazy to fix it, I decided to just keep the face on it making it appear it has 2 faces until the cover is flipped XD.

Hmm I think her pockets are all right in my opinion. Though with her face seems a bit too stotic with that happy face on there :V
I know Vera doesn't smile much when she does it, but you know~
