It's just kinda ironic, considering everyone got the complete opposite of their true personalities.

(For instance, Summer got Trust.)

Just a little tidbit I thought I'd share.

That's a neat cookie. Also, if you're interested, the room names are written on the brochure for the hotel. So if you know what rooms they are in you can get a tid-bit about what their room name is.

It's also fascinating looking at the room names and seeing the connections between the name and the stories of the people staying in them. I wish I could remember who was where.

Kevin/Melissa - (I think) Bravery

Going by the names of the rooms, Shine must've been the room Melissa got locked in, and DayBreak, the room Mila and her Dad stayed in on that fateful night.

Shine was the room Louie went into to create a distraction for luring Jeff out of his room. Melissa got locked in Daybreak, the suite Mila and her father stayed in doesn't have a name.

I don't think the bar had a name.

Just the Moonlight Bar and Grill, if I recall correctly.


And yeah, I noticed towards the middle of the game that the names of the room corresponded inversely with the personalities of their tenants.

Honestly, I thought that was the only part of the game that was a bit heavy-handed in its symbolism. Like "HEY GUYZ SUMMERS IS A LYING ASS LET'S PUT 'EM IN THE TRUST ROOM OH HO HO"

But I didn't know about those other rooms that didn't have people in them (like Daybreak and what-not). That stuff is pretty cool.

The bar is named Seven Stars or something like that S:

Actually, I don't think it's so much corresponding inversely more so the lessons the characters learned from their stay at Dusk.

For instance, Summers walked out and did the honorable thing and disclosed about his novel and vowed to write a real one based on Hyde (If I remember, on the Japanese site for Dusk, Summer's narrates what happened to the people at Dusk including about his book)

Didn't think about that, Wooster. But that does make sense.

Firstly, the names correspond to what they HAVEN'T been in their previous life, but what they consequently come to know through their stay at Hotel Dusk.

Well, GP, you gotta make some connections, I guess:
Angel for Helen Parker: Well, she certainly didn't act like an angel in her relationship with her son (leaving him for showbiz) but she always tried to watch over him (like an angel), as evidenced in going to Hotel Dusk every year for him.

Prayer for Bradley: This one's a bit tougher, but maybe it refers to the fact that Bradley found the answer to his prayers at hotel Dusk? Leaving word to Hyde, talking to Dunning, leaving the Painting behind, maybe his prayers were answered...

Belief for Jeff: Jeff doesn't believe in himself or his convictions. He hates his father for being morally corrupting, and I think that in the Hotel and with Hyde he learns how to actually be a man and believe in himself.
