I apologise for not updating on the online status of my town it seems like the wii lan adapter doesn't work for the ds. :grey:

So I will try the USB adapter again though this time I am letting my brother install it.

I will go through and add new people's friend codes on this thread. Mine is already posted on here if anyone is wondering.

I'll post here if I get the ds online working.

Congrats on getting all of the Mushroom pieces. Most people try but can't make it to get the floor and wall.

You do realize that Cornimer is just the Mayor is disguise, right? :eh?:

Then again, Tortimer isn't exactly the most "normal" character... :yuusaku:

Yes, I know. lilwasyu assured me it was him. :D And no, he's not even remotely normal. I'd like to Wi-Fi, but my little cousin and I are playing DS to DS right now. If anyone wants to though, just say something; I'll respond ASAP, promise.

Well I got the USB thing and did a test run of inviting friends and it worked so far.

I plan on going online 10/12 at 2:00 p.m. (Central time). So if you haven't already done so go ahead and add my town.

It is posted on page 3 somewhere.

Feel free if you want to post some of your designs at my Maple's shop. I tried my hand at making Feenie's sweather it didn't turn out so good.

I updated the codes in this thread and in Court Record Friend Code topic as well.

If you haven't already posted your AC:WW town, name and code yet just send me a PM so I can add you.

Nathon and Leah I got you both registered already.

I will try to have my town open until around 9 p.m. Central. I will open my town gate again on Thursday and next Sunday at 3:30 p.m. Central

I have a new friend code. My niece deleted my town about a month ago. I had spent nearly two and a half years on it. Good news is that I chose to live near the border now, and not the beach, so it's really convenient to live closer to the gate. My old town had this tiny island before, and I was going to keep resetting until I got another one. I got lucky and ended up with this huge island on my first try.

Just got through chopping down all my normal trees now that the Acorn Festival is over. Planting fruit orchards now. I finally got a hold of some oranges too.

Anyways, here's my new info:

Code:3824-1167-5987
Name: Lisa
Town: Yotsuba&

I'll be adding everyone that has posted so far too.

I got Animal Crossing because my friend told me it was really good and it was c: I was really addicted to it actually x.x but then my cousin had overwritten my town with another town cause he thought he could do that (arrggg I was so far too D: ) and course I ended up losing EVERYTHING D; so I thus stopped for a while (I made a new person but I still stopped) but then I picked it up again and well, was addicted again xD So yeah I'm playing again although everyone's moving away D: so yeah C: I put my friend code in the friend code thread but y'know, I'll put it here too x)

Friend code: 485496426013
Name: Mackenzi
Town: Calfing

Oh and if you add me or want to add me, please send a PM.

(Assuming you have all the systems,) If you're going to get an AC game, I'd recommend waiting a few weeks for City Folk to come out, since that's going to be wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than the original and WW xD If you don't want CF, then I don't really know... WW is portable and has wifi, but the original has much more memory and more special characters and NES games.

...

I'd really recommend getting CF. (It seriously is going to be a whole lot better than WW... except that it's not portable.)

The original one doesn't have any online play and the camera isn't as good but you can go on trains and travel to your friend's town if they bring their memory card for their gamecube over. (I don't know as much since I don't own the game, you could ask someone who owns the game). Wild World goes on the DS and the camera is better as well as you have the touch screen and there is online play and long as you register each others friend codes. No trains though. And City Folk that's coming out has online play as well and microphone and can go to other towns (I think) even without online play, don't know that much after that. Hope that helped though it wasn't very helpful xD

Oh yeah and CF will probably be the best like Bad Player said :P

CF will most likely have a lot more furniture than AC and WW (I think AC has more furniture than WW, too)

In CF you can change your shoe color and have more options with custom shirts.

There is a city and a town area, not just a town.

There are more special characters.

All the real-world holidays from AC are returning, plus several others. (AC had real-world holidays where you got special holiday sets, but WW took them out and replaced them with stupid fake holidays from which you didn't get anything :S )

That's all the awesome new stuff I can think of for CF off the top of my head specifically....

Yeah, The original had several holidays which most of them were fun and nice change of pace. It basically broke down like this:

Spoiler: List of Most of Holidays (Spoilers?)
New Years Day: Tortimer give you a New Diary and a Fortune at the Wishing Well. (Yeah, No Fireworks)

Valentine Day: You may get gifts in mail from opposite gendered neighbors. Nothing Amazing.

April Fools Day: Tortimer gives you an free NES game. It's extremely rare and fun! :sal:

Mother's Day: Get a rare non-lovely Lovely Phone from your Mommy. Now, you can call her. (Your Mom: You never call me...)

Halloween: Jack visits your town and if you can reach him and give him a piece of candy, he give a piece of the Halloween set. In addition, every neighbor is out and dressed exactly like Jack. And if you run into one of them instead of Jack, they steal a piece of candy and ruin the clothing your wearing/resets shirt pattern.

Thanksgiving: The town is having a festival and invited Tom the Turkey for dinner. However, he figures that they plan on eating him as the main course (lol) and goes into hiding behind trees. You have find him, grab a fork and knife from the table and find him again and give them to him. In return, he giving you special gift

Christmas: Jingle the Reindeer has come to deliver gift to all the good little boys and girls. You have to track him down and answer his question several times and finally, he give you a gift. Then, you have do it all over again in different outfit (you can't even carry the old shirt with you, he can see into your pockets! :meekins: ) for more gifts. Took me about 10 hours to get a complete set with many repeats for one character.

There are more holidays but they are minor things compared to most of theses.

I could've sworn New Years in the original had fireworks... (at midnight, not during the day)

For specifics in the city, check the Wikipedia article, but basically you can't live there and it's a bunch of shops.

I hope Saraha starts selling wallpaper again. I didn't like it when Wendell did wallpaper and flooring =\

The original has fireworks display at midnight, I meant the item you can hold and use. In WW, you can get a Party Popper, a Roman Candle or something else from the Mayor on New Years.

Yeah, It's been known that we can't live there for a while. Personally, I don't mind this myself.

Sahara only started trading wallpaper in Wild World and they only changed that because people complained it was too hard to complete sets. And Wendell gives out patterns now. And it seems to be staying that in City Folk. :yuusaku:

In the meanwhile, I will search for the Animal crossing movie on some good ol' torrent in my local DVD-store.

You know, a lot of people getting City Folk may not be getting it until December, so you shouldn't feel so bad. I pre-ordered on Amazon and my copy doesn't get delivered until December 5th.

Here's the Japanese Trailer to City Folk for all of your enjoyment. There also 2 more related videos in the lefthand sidebar, one of them being video of the DS transfer process. Also, proof you can send snapshots to friends viva Wiimail. :notes:
http://www.wipido.com/video/VcYqexaPhWp8

I also suggest any serious AC fans to get a SD when they get their copy of City Folk.

Well, I got the game in the mail today and I can't wait starting to play it later tonight.

But, I have to admit, I've got a problem with the game. I can only play it late at night (12AM-2AM Eastern) since I have keep my Wii a secret from most of my family. And that means all the stores are gonna be close when I play and I believe you can't do the time travel trick as it interferes with the Wii's internal clock. If anyone has the game and can get on during that time, can I come to your town to shop and stuff. I'll even pay you for your time, somehow. (That sounds so dirty :payne:)

I'll add my Info later, Once I set-up my town.

I'll add my Info later, Once I set-up my town.

depends what day it is, if it's a school week and it's not friday then no but usually on the weekends I stay up that late anyways so it doesn't matter for me C:

why do you have to keep your wii a secret?

Simply put, It was a secret purchase my father made that my stepmother doesn't know about. Also, one of my siblings is freakin thief and would pawn it for drug money if he found out about it.
