I hated that man. From the moment I set eyes on him. Him and Iris both. Oh, and whatever Melissa's father's name was. He sucked too.

Someone should draw a map one of these days with how everyone was connected with eachother... I'm still trying to figure it all out.

I was planning to do that. It was just...so confusing. After I beat it I just sat there for about half an hour going "What the hell just happened?" Too many relationships make me confused. And in Hotel Dusk, EVERYONE was somehow related.

I wish I had the time to do that... I believe I'd have to draw at least 100 lines between 20 characters.

Ah well, my simple homage to this game (which I bought 3 days ago and finished 2 days ago) lies in my new avatar. Unlike Croik's, it's a still-life.

What really makes all the connections bizzar is, when you ignore the shear quanity of coincidences, the majority of them were believeable.

I did that on a napkin on the airplane ride back from Florida last week Maya Fey Unfortunately, I don't have it anymore. Maybe I'll recreate it later...

Anyway, I love Hotel Dusk. Jeff may be a little punk, but...it's in an oddly loveable way. Just like Iris is the loveable priss, and Kevin the loveable douche... good times, good times. Will Powers

Ok, I've got a pretty good one drawn up. I'll scan it in once I get to a scanner, or maybe turn it into a digital copy. Once I get home, that is.

I wish there was a way to skip text in this game. Second playthroughs are annoying when you don't want to read it all again.

I neat it last night. Kyle left alone and I never found the 7th sticker or got any change for that matter, si the mystery of the vending machine remains unsolved. But that's why Cing invented New Game +.

Oh, I found all 7 Stickers and on the first play through, but never was able to get the change. I think it's a fairly obvious hint, but all the stickers are in 'public' places. You'll never find one in Private or Staff only sections.

Yeah, if you miss the change, you're screwed. You get what, one opportunity to get it?

Just curious, but does anyone know how you get all the different endings? I got the second best one. But I've heard you can only get the full one on a second playthrough.

If you consider the full one
Spoiler:
Recovering Mila's Treasure in room 220 at the last phase of the game - where you say everyone goodbye
along with everything good happening... then yes, you can only get it on a second playthrough.

Odd, I hadn't even heard of that one.

As far as I knew, the best ending you could get was
Spoiler:
Getting to see Jenny's face. The one I got was where you -almost- see Jenny's face

Well, I thought you never get to really see her face. However, the best ending I got was :

Spoiler:
Mila comes with you.
You give her Mila's Treasure.
Jenny comes back. You know this by her pendant which says "J".

Yeah, I didn't see the face. But it was pretty obvious who it was, based on certain people's reactions.
Spoiler:
Doesn't Dunning actually say "Jenny?"

How do you get into 220 to get
Spoiler:
Mila's Treasure?

He was annoying for most of the game. He became more tolerable towards the end though.

And he's nowhere near as bad as Jeff. Thankfully, Jeff's secrets are revealed, and then he pretty much never shows up again.

I'm past Jeff, and I have to admit his sad face was pretty funny. He was very "oh... uh... crap." Ack

Spoiler:
On your second playthrough, at some point in the game, Louie will give you a mysterious cassette tape. When you listen to it, it speaks out gibberish (listen to the B side, like the Iris tape). You'll recognize the gibberish as the same kind of gibberish the codebreaker can break. Enter the gibberish in the codebreaker when you have access to the entire hotel, and then you'll hear a ding, about a memento of love being in room 220 (not the exact text). When you say goodbye to everyone, you can go into room 220, and look around. You'll get a small box which is labeled Mila's Treasure. If Mila comes with you when you leave the hotel, you'll give it to her and she'll have a special expression IIRC.

Oh, that's right, I forgot you said it had to be the second playthrough. No wonder I didn't get it.
Well, I started a second playthrough on it today, so hopefully I'll get it, and it shouldn't take to long. Heck, I'll probably have it beaten by tomorrow. (SNOW DAY!) Unless I choose to finish my second PW:AA playthrough instead.

Update on some of the characters' lives after the game from the official site's column.

Spoiler:
Like I said in the last thread on the old forum, Summer kept writing. He actually managed to use Kyle as the main character a wrote a book called "夜の行方" (roughly translates to "Whereabouts of the nights) 10 years after meeting Kyle. According to him Jeff worked things out with his dad, and opened a small law firm by himself in Manhattan. It was only when Summer talked to Jeff's dad did he know that Kyle was actually an ex-cop.

The column's into the 3rd part of the 4th part series, I really hope to find out what happened to Kyle after. Larry

I'm such a chump. I got the standard ending because I'm lazy.

I still don't know what the stickers are and though I did get change (I tried paying Dunning again to see if anything happened), I didn't use it.

Ah well. Game+ here I come...

Whereas I got all the stickers but missed getting the change...

If you look on the right side of the vending machine the rules to the "contest" are there. Find seven starred numbers about the hotel. The first is on the left side of the vending machine.

Jeff was actually one of my favorite characters. Yes, I've been told several times that I'm weird.

Summer was my least favorite, by far. Good God, that man could TALK about nothing in particular for EVER! I think he went WAY overboard on his thesaurus!

I do believe that was the point of his character. Someone who has no "real" talent, but fakes it to look good.

I don't think it's a time limit. I think it's based more upon how many interactions you preform. Like, you might have a limit of 8 clicks or something...
