how do u do vera's hair effect?...looks quite real...
Just...uuh quite hard to explain.
First used some basic colors...I used blue pretty obviously.
And then, add on the shading with darker colors.
And then use some bleding tools to blur the boarders to make it smooth.
Finally use some smaller pen or brushes to add small details,
such as the light and the textures.
...is that clear enough?

Actually I did find the Vera one was a bit familiar, maybe on the fourth or the fifth page (you know they don't allow replying old threads on the 逆转ACE forum) in the art section...but since it was that old I didn't bother to check the thread. OTL
I don't reamember seeing the Maya one though...is it a new art?

I'm under an impression that those artists who are good at drawing in the realist style prefer picures without lines. Maybe I was wrong?

lol yeah I tend to get lazy for that.
Those highly skilled artist can start without any lines at all.
But I'm still trying to get there...so yeah I still need sketches.
And since I'm a total lazy bum I tend to color right on the sketch rather than redo it.
