He nodded at Himiko as the Noise symbols around him disappeared. 'Phew. One more giggle and my ears would've given up.' Unfortunately, she laughed once more. 'Hold in there!' "Let us out of the... Wait. That's what you meant? Or, didn't mean... Er..." This was all a little confusing to Brett, so he sighed and dropped the subject. "Okay, have a nice hunt or whatever." He struggled to his feet and turned to Mari.

She snapped her fingers a third time, and regular Noise in the forms of wolves and frogs appeared.

"Get them!" She yelled, pointing at Brett and the old hag.

She then winked at Brett.

"Buh bye, Mr Handsome! Oh, and uh, you too, old hag." She nodded in the girl's direction. She blew a kiss in Brett's direction.

"Come on Yumiko, I'm hungry! Let's see if we can head to Sunshine's by Hachiko!" She giggled as she began to head to Hachiko.

"Parting gift...?" wondered Brett, now turned around and staring at Himiko. A shiver ran down his spine. Seeing the Noise appear, he jumped back, hurting his legs on the landing. "Bwah! Oh come on!" Quickly, he grabbed a pin and raised his arms into a battle stance. Still aching, he yelled back at Himiko, "Y'know, I don't believe in tough love!"

Mari visibly grimaced as Yumiko blew a kiss in Brett's direction, and hoped he didn't notice as they were transported to their zones. She groaned: Perhaps fighting wasn't all that fun after all. She made short work of the first few Noise, and hoped Brett would take care of the rest.

Sighing, Brett was teleported into his zone. He slogged around, taking a few hits but dealing out the same. The wolves were his first target, he went through Ice Risers and Burning Cherry to take them down. Then on, he faced little trouble, Natural Magnum was more than enough to finish the remaining frogs.

Yumiko shrugged, eyeing the two Players blankly. “Himiko-chan, don’t you think that was a bit harsh?” she asked quietly. She smirked.”Oh, whatever.” She turned and started after the girl. “Ooh, Sunshine’s! Sounds great!” She grinned. Suddenly, a cool breeze blew past her. Yumiko stopped. She sniffed the air. “Blood,” she murmured. She looked around, nervous. Her eyes focused on two more Players, one boy and one girl. The boy was holding the girl in his arms, sobbing. Blood was pouring down her body. Yumiko winced. “Ouch. She’s even worse than that other girl.” She walked over to them. “God, I can’t believe I’m doing this...” she muttered. “Hey. You.” She pointed to the boy. “Your partner’s gonna die,” she said bluntly. “I’m sorry.” She shrugged. “I don’t know why, but I wanna help you.” She knelt down beside the girl. “I don’t know how I’m gonna do this, but I’m gonna try to heal her.” She placed her hand on the girl’s wounds, grimacing as the blood soaked her fingers. She closed her eyes and murmured a few words. Black light shot out from her hand and enveloped the girl. Yumiko’s eyes widened. She bit her lip. “Um...” she stuttered. The light grew darker, and the girl rose out of her partner’s arms. From the black aura, Noise started to appear. Yumiko gasped. “I...” she started. Then she was cut off by a loud cracking noise. Smoke filled the air. Coughing, she waved away the smoke. When the air was clear again, Yumiko gasped at the sight. The girl lay on the ground. Where her wounds once were, now there were tattoos. It was as if the Noise had transferred themselves to her. Yumiko frowned. “Well, I don’t know if this is good or bad. It’s interesting, that’s for sure.” She placed her hand on the tattoos. “She’s been touched by Noise. Don’t know what it means.” She looked at the boy. “I’m sorry...” –she squinted- “...Hikaru-san. I don’t know if she’ll be okay or not.” She stood, and nodded. “Goodbye.” ...And she rushed off to find Himiko.

Kendall blinked. She groaned. Sitting up, she faintly saw a teenage Reaper running off into the distance. She turned to Hikaru. “Hikaru?” she said hoarsely. “I-I’m alright?” She looked down at what had once been a lattice of bloody cuts. Now, there was an elegant tattoo in their place. She gasped. “...Noise.” She touched the tattoo gingerly. Kendall winced, and shut her eyes. When she opened them, she gasped again. She could see Noise clustered around her. One made its way next to her. Kendall-chan. She squeaked. A deep voice had sounded in her head. Are you...a Noise? she thought. Yes. I am here to help, the voice said. We were summoned to heal you by a Reaper. To heal you, one of us sacrificed her life. She is now part of you. The wolflike Noise nodded to her tattoo. That is her mark upon you. All Noise can sense it, and they must obey it. They will not attack you. This applies to Taboo Noise as well. Let’s say you are an honorary Noise yourself. He bared his teeth in a grin. And you can summon us at any time, just by touching the tattoo. Yuki was like our queen. And now she is one with you. So we all will respect you. He nodded again. “Goodbye, Kendall-chan. Kendall blinked, and the Noise were gone. Her eyes went wide. “N-Noise....” she whispered. Then she turned to Hikaru, blinking to clear her mind. “Hikaru...” she murmured.

Himiko had reached Hachiko's statue, but Yumiko seemed to have disappeared. Suddenly, she saw Yumiko heading towards her.

"There you are! Geez, what happened to you grandma? Did your legs need new batteries or something? Tee hee!" Himiko giggled.

Yumiko sighed. "No, Himiko-chan. My legs don't use batteries." She grimaced. "I just got... sidetracked." She shrugged. "But hopefully it's all settled now. Let's go eat!" She walked into Sunshine. Yumiko grinned as she sniffed up the scent of oil and grease that accompanies every burger shop. "Fast, unhealthy food. The best," she breathed.

"No idea of the source?" Vita walked past Spain Hill without turning down it. He had one ear next to his phone, the other in his pocket. His eyes darted back and forth, looking for stray Taboo Noise. "I know it has to be someone in the Underground... most likely a Reaper, yes; the possibility of it being a Player can't be ruled out though... I'm going to Udagawa. It's one of the last places to check, so I'm betting the source is in there... I'm aware that no Reaper has been given authority to go there, but that won't stop them. At the least, I've got to check it out." He closed the phone as he walked in front of Shiba-Q Heads; he was nearing Udagawa and the source of the Taboo Noise.

Yumiko scoffed. "Pretending to be a Reaper? No way." She stuck out her tongue, then placed a french fry on it. "I helped them because they needed it. Yes, I'm dedicated to being a Reaper. But they didn't deserve that fate. And there was a catch." She shrugged. "What about you? Someone crushes so easily...." She grinned.

Mari started pacing across the scramble as soon as she returned to the UG. Her arms were folded and she was scowling, and with her back to Brett she growled, "What was that all about? They help us, then make us play a stupid game, and then set Noise after us as a reward! I'm sick of this! Just what are Reapers, anyway? And why can't they just stick with trying to erase us? Grrr!"

Brett entered the underground again to Mari's sweet voice. "Sick of this? Didn't you say you liked it down here?" He raised an eyebrow and continued. "And besides, 'Grrr' inducing as they may be, that Reaper saved your life. Well, the older one at least... I don't know about you, but a few scrapes and some unanswered questions seem like a pretty good trade for prolonged existance to me." With that, he offered the most genuine grin he could manage.

Hikaru heard someone coming towords them, he could sense it was a reaper..
"What do you want?" he said protectivley, cradling Kendall.
He was quite surprised when she said she'd help.
"I'd rather not, but I don't seem to have any other choice. He released Kendall slowly. He rubbed some hair out her face.
"You'll be ok" he whispered.
He felt her slowly be lifted out of his arms, he didn't want to let go but he did. Suddenly he felt cold, he could sense noise, but they didn't feel malicous, what was happening?
Suddenly it was over, and the Reaper explained what had happened. He was scared hoping Kendall was alright.
"Thankyou..." he said quietly as the Reaper left.
His heart jumped for joy when he saw his own face, she had opened her eyes. But he jumped as he noticed the noise around them. But they felt, friendly. They just hovered around and then left.
"It's ok, I'm here Kendall, are you ok?"

"I suppose," said Mari, turning round and smiling gently at Brett. "In the meantime however, I suppose we'll just have to cope. Now, is there anything you feel like doing, since we probably won't get a chance to do what we want for a while? After all, there is no specified mission, and I doubt the GM would have to approach us. As for me, I could murder a burger. How do you feel about Sunshine? It was one of my favourite places when I was alive." While speaking, she kept a smile on her face the whole time, but it was a little fake, as she had taken off her hat, and was twirling it about in her fingers while her eyes flickered worriedly back and forth.

Thinking about her offer, he nodded, "Yeah, I could go for a burger right about now. Sunshine, eh?" "I don't think it's the GM, for one. He might be a bit eccentric but yeah, he's definitely not stupid enough to decide to do this."
She turned around to watch a couple of players struggling to beat some taboo boomers. As she was in a generous mood, she decided that she would help them out.

"Hold on a sec, T." She sprinted towards the players and whacked the noise round their heads with her guitar. She knew that steel plate she fixed onto it would come in handy.
"Sorry about that." Her moth suddenly curved into a huge smile. "So this is what it's like to be you, helping players out like you did with me..."

"Anyway, I for one am intrigued by all this, how about we go on a taboo hunt?" she asked suddenly. Grabbing his arm, she pulled him along to 104.

When Rae was fired up, there was no stopping her.

Rae scanned 104, nothing really picked at her interest.
"I don't see anything, no players are here either..."
It was just a bit too quiet for her liking. "This is actually creeping me out, it's not usually this calm here. It's 104, for God's sake! It's not just me, is it?"

She noticed that Dogenzaka was closed off. There was no point in going there really, was there?
She decided to go to Ramen Don later instead. There was something she had to do there to keep her sanity intact.
"Um, let's just go to Shibukyu and then head to Shibu. No point in heading into Dogenzaka if it's closed off."

As they walked towards Shibukyu, Rae stopped dead in her tracks.

It was HIM.

"Oh my God..." she whispered, dazed. Her face twisted with anger and she tuned into the RG. She knew she shouldn't, but she couldn't help it.
He looked rather shocked to see her, actually. He probably thought she had been erased. Or maybe it was the fact she seemingly appeared out of thin air. She didn't really know.
She gave him a slap that left him reeling and tuned back into the UG.

"Do you recognize him, Takai?" she spat resentfully, her voice filled with venom.
"That was Masaru. My partner..."

"We were going to Shibukyu, right?" She bit her lip hard and forced a slight smile onto her face.
"Come on then, you're going to tell me all about yourself, take my mind off of things, OK? How does a Player-helper like you make Officer?"

I'm not going to be here very often anymore.

Brett frowned at Mari, though he tried (and failed) to hide it. "...Haha?" He coughed lightly and was still walking when Mari stopped. "Mmm, yen?" He stuck his hands in his pockets and sighed. "No, no yen... Nothing at all actually." He began kicking up dust when it hit him. '...Nothing at all?!' Panicked, he dug through his pockets once more, but to no avail. "Rrrgh..."

"No source. Just a little worm." Vita noted the Taboo Noise before him; it was a tiny worm, not of any kind of Taboo Noise he had seen before. He crushed it with his heel - merely the weight of his heel erased it. "Pathetic," It seemed that he had spoke too soon; a shove from behind alerted him to what had appeared as he crushed the worm. A Neoclassical Drake had appeared behind him, seemingly to erase him for crushing the little Noise. Vita took several steps back; he was tired from constant erasures. He decided to adjust his plan to make sure that his own erasure did not happen.

He began to levitate from the ground, arching his back as if in pain; several low-level crab Noise pulled themselves from the floor and attacked the Neoclassical Drake. Vita panted at simply the strain of calling up some wimpy Noise - evidently, his plan was a good option. As the Drake began a rapid erasure of the frogs, Vita grabbed at something in one of the sleeved of his coat; he pulled a slim slip of paper from said sleeve and swiped it in front of him like a sword - as it sliced through the air, Noise symbols drifted off it as Vita's Reaper wings grew into shape behind him. The Noise symbols circled Vita - and then, one by one; they moved into him, sinking into his skin as they did so. He felt his body distorting - the feeling of his thumb and little finger moving towards the rest; his index and ring fingers disappearing; his feet becoming thinner and smaller; the toes vanishing as they were replaced by three, finger-like talons in the same shape as the claws on his hands. His wings transformed into blue, seemingly feathered copies. They snapped forward, joining with his arms as the transformation completed itself. Vita's Noise form grinned cruelly - the Drake had finished erasing the frogs and was moving back towards him. It took Vita little under thirty seconds to finish the battle and return to his regular form. Making sure that everything was undone, he turned his phone back on. "This is Inficio Vita, Officer Reaper and designated Game Master. There is no source in Udagawa. Just a trap to erase any intruders... three Neoclassical Drakes in the Scramble? Vita, closing the line."

He took the phone away from his ear, pressed the 'cancel call' button and then turned the audio recorder on his phone on. "This is the Game Master. I hereby use the ruling given in today's mission to order all Players to at least attempt to erase the three Taboo Noise located in the Scramble; they are identical. You have one hour." Vita sent the message to all Players - it would forcefully play on their phones; the timer would appear on their hands instantly and since it had been issued this late in the Day, it was encoded with an imprinting message; "Hear No Sound". While the message was playing, anyone who could not access the UG would hear this and hence would ignore it. Vita frowned, hoping it wasn't needed but began to sprint to the Scramble as soon as the "Message Sent" was displayed.

"I know.. weird..." he said putting his body in alert mode. Usually when things where too quiet something bad was about to happen.
He seemed to pondor for a moment.
"True... but if ya really wanted to check it out I could unlock it?" he said pulling out a high level key-pin.
While he was talking he noticed Rae freeze.
"Whats -?" he started before he noticed the guy in the RG in front of them. "Oh.."
He watched, unable to do anything as she tuned herself into the RG and gave him a slap.
He gulped when she came back, god she was pissed.
"Yeah, I recognize him..." he drifted of feeling awkward, he wondered what had happened between them. He had been partially involved in it all so he knew a bit, but the higher ups had shushed anything else up.
"Ok" he said also forcing a smile, wanting to cheer her up. He would pry a bit at a more appropriate time.
"Well, to put it simply they had to make me an officer, my parents were Reapers, so they got me the position. Also, not to blow my own horn, but I was simply born with too much power to be a harrier" he finished the last sentence with a sly grin.
"And about the player helping part... well nobody knows, and if any Reaper I don't trust finds out I erase them" he said nonchalantly.

Her eyes widened. She'd never heard anything like it. "Wow. Seriously? I've never heard anything like it."
Shibukyu was a bit too quiet too. Alarm bells started to go off in Rae's mind.
"God, don't be so modest, Superman. You're killing me here, you know." She nudged him with her abnormally sharp elbow.
"Oh wait, you aren't going to erase me now, then, are you? I promise I won't tell anyone." she mimed zipping her mouth shut, "My lips are sealed."
She caught sight of a lightning streak of black and silver.

"WOAH! Incoming!" she pulled Takai out of the way of the two approaching Taboo wolves. "I'll take care of this one! You get Streaky over there!"
She summoned her guitar and quickly plucked a few strings with her frog noise pin. They would at least keep it occupied, even if it was only for a while. She sent out a shockwave but the noise leaped onto her just before it hit. "Argh, crap!" She felt a sharp pain in her stomach. She dealt out another shockwave, which was more successful. She decided to go for the more physical approach of bashing it round the head with the guitar. It disappeared, much to her relief.
Takai was already done, unsurprisingly. "That was close..." she winced. "Seems like the day's going to finish soon. Should we head back to the scramble?"

"Yeah I'm really an anomaly, it's not often Reapers fall in love..." Takai seemed to ponder a moment. He looked up and smirked at Rae's next comment.
"Superman hey? I could grow to like that. Also don't worry, I said Reapers I couldn't trust, and i trust you ok?" he finished sounding slightly unsure of himself. He was really a loner by nature, he couldn't let anyone in as he had to protect his secret...
but Rae was different, he had helped her during her game, and he had a wierd feeling she'd have done the same for him, he trusted her.

He jumped when Rae pulled him out of the way of a Noise, interrupting his train of thought. He nodded at her to confirm her plan and jumped towards the noise. Black symbols formed around his right hand as he summoned his scythe.
He quickly swung it in front of him to block an attack from the noise, and the bought it slashing round to finish it off. It disappeared in a hiss of static.

He then stood there nonchalantly as he waited for a few seconds for Rae to finish.
"You've got good technique you know that? And sure, lets head back to the scramble"

She bit her lip as she listened to the message - couldn't he just text them for once? - and turned to Brett. "I guess I jinxed it," she said, "We have a lot of work to do... And... I think we should use these..." she pulled out her Imperator pin. "You know how hard it is to fight Taboo... These might be helpful..."

Brett sighed. 'And I was so thirsty...' "Well--" He started, trying to think of a way to spend the day when her phone rang. "Bwaah!" Pinching himself for overreacting, he leaned over Mari and listened to the message. "Taboo Noise? Three Taboo Noise? Ergh." He felt sick to his stomach, and the sudden pain in his hand didn't help matters. He stared at Mari's Imperator Pin. "Well, okay... I guess we should." He slipped his hand into his pocket and pinned the smooth black pin to the inside. "So, back to the Scramble again, eh?"

They had reached the scramble, and the remaining players were starting to flow into the Scramble. Rae signalled to Takai to keep quiet as she started to edge past a couple of taboos.
She normally would have just fought them and have got it over and done with, but that hit in the stomach earlier was still taking it's tole.
"Let's get to underneath Q-Floor, it looks pretty clear there." she whispered.

(OOC: Alright, I'm moving on.)

Himiko looked out of the window, and could see various Taboo Noise pacing around. It seems some had even headed to the Scramble. She looked at the pin Vita had given her.

"Okay, time to take care of these things! Back me up, Yumiko!" Himiko dashed out, and as soon as she'd left the shop, she let her wings spread out, allowing her to float.

A Taboo wolf growled and lunged at her, but she moved sideways in the air, causing it to miss. Himiko suddenly pulled out the space toy gun she had allowed Mr Handsome to use earlier, and fired several times. The Taboo Noise gave a yell. It was in harm, but not down for the count...

((Really sorry haven't posted for ages, was waiting for sho for a bit, and then stuff happened so i ran away from home, and only mnaged to get somewhere live recently))

Takai wondered why they sneaked past the Noise, they could have took them easily. He then noticed that Rae was still injured and stifled this question.
He nodded at her as they walked quietly to Q-floor.

((Wow. That's rough. I hope you're OK >.< On another note: Please post, people.))

Rae leaned agianst the wall and let herself slide down to the floor. It was relatively clean, but she wasn't in the mood to be obsessive-compulsive about it.
"The Players are taking their time, don't you think?" she fiddled with her trouser zip pocket. "Or... maybe the taboos were too much for them. I doubt that, though."
She took a glance across the scramble. A couple of pairs were trying to hold off the noise. One pair was doing quite well, but the other pair wasn't looking so hot.
"Man, I'm bored. I wish they'd hurry up."

I'm not going to be here very often anymore.
