So I started watching the new Casshern remake Casshern SINS by Tatsunoko and Madhouse, and I must say I like it a lot. I haven't seen the original anime, though, so I can't say how different the two are.

It's about this guy Casshern in a post-apocolyptic world full of dying robots who try to kill him all the time because he apparently caused 'ruin', which is apparently some kind of robot disease that causes them to die. Ok, I'm not that far into the series yet (6/11) so the whole background it still kind of a mystery to me. I guess I'll just have to keep watching :D

Ok, this may sound like a stupid question (and it probably is) but... you do you pronounce Casshern? I mean, I've heard it pronounced "Cass-hern", but I would assume that it's something like "Cas-shern", yet that also sounds weird to me. Not sure... :/

I should probably give this series a try; it sounds interesting... and I've been hearing about it alot *read Casshern reference in xxxHolic yesterday* lD

Actually I'm watching it on YouTube. I would get the episodes myself, but I don't really feel like doing that. The quality doesn't really bother me so much; I can see and hear what's going on, and I can read the subs, so I'm good.

If I were to say it out loud I'd probably pronounce it "cash-earn" but as one word. In the show they pronounce it kyasshaan, though I'm no elitist.

Also, I've reached episode 10 :D Some very interesting stuff going down. I've done a bit of reading up on the old show as well, and it seems this new one is a complete reboot of the series, e.g. an entirely new storyline. The first series took place while Braiking Boss ruled, and this one takes place after his rule. Don't get this the wrong way, though -- the two stories aren't connected at all. Sort of like an alternate universe, if you will.

Yeah, I've been thinking about seeing that. Although reviews said it wasn't that great, I think it seems really interesting. Also my reason for getting into this series was because my friend told me of that movie XD

From what I have been told...There is one Awesome fight scene that is well...Awesome...I don't trust reviews often but if alot of them say that this scene is awesome...I'll leave to find it! Bye! *Leaves to watch movie*

Yea to be honest the plot is kinda meh, but the CG is just so damn pretty~ If you watch it just for that, I assure you you won't be disappointed. :edgy:

The original Anime was made in the 70s. The movie is based on it.

Yea I'm aware of that. But I also knew they remade the original series from the 70's, so I'd probably be more inclined to watch that one than the original.

And that's only because I've recently watched a few episodes of Casshern Sins. Not bad.
