It's Christmas time at Ye Olde Cafe, yet no one is celebrating - unless you want to include the old man who's painting on the window's of the cafe, making it more Christmasy. The cafe itself is an old one, built sometime in the 1930s, with a "help wanted" sign as proof of age. This sign has been retouched several times, but on the outside looking in, it's clear that help has never come to this cafe.

Old Man Thompson has been caring for this cafe by himself for 30 years now. He took it off the hands of his father, who in turn took it from his father, who took it from his father. This family-run cafe is still standing, despite poor business and lack of helping hands.

As Old Man Thompson finished painting the windows, he put up a sign. It was a sign advertising a holiday party at Ye Olde Cafe - a name that has been incorporated since 2010.

Old Man Thompson slowly made his way to the register, put a record with Christmas songs into the record player, turned it on, and waited for customers, with 30's Christmas music playing in the background. I hope we finally get customers this year Old Man Thompson thought to himself, as he gazed towards the entrance, waiting.... Waiting for business that the cafe has never had.

A man stormed into the cafe. Apparently, he was angry at someone since he was screaming random words that were all jumbled up and slurred together. Then, he looked over at Old Man Thompson and forced a smile.
"Hello, there, sir," he said. "What's on the menu?"

A young boy of about 11 years of age was walking across the street the opposite way to the man, when the guy walked in, screaming. It startled the boy, though it caught his attention. "A cafe, huh?" he said to himself, before checking the credit on his credit card. "I've got enough money to spare for lunch". The boy walked in and pinched a menu. Ooh, pizza. "Uh, I'll have a 6-Cheese Pizza!" He informed Old Man Thompson, passing his card to him.

"Oh, customers!" Old Man Thompson said, having lost attention after waiting for a bit. "Let me go get you a menu, then I'll deal with the boy." Old Man Thompson went into the back and got the menu. "This is what we have." He said, handing the menu to the man. He then turned his attention to the boy.

"Now that I'm done with him, what was it you wanted?" He asked the boy.

"6-cheese..." He said, as he wrote down the boy's order. He then went to the back, neglecting to inform them of the estimated serving time. Old Man Thompson danced with glee for a bit, for the cafe's first customers, but then stopped 5 seconds later because his back hurt.

He then started to fulfill their orders.

Dekuran walked in and shivered from the frosty weather of winter and took a moment to warm up in the cafe, he looked around, admiring the old era that the cafe had, he smiled happily and put his hands in his pocket, reaching for a table before grabbing the chair and sitting down to wait for the old man at the other table to finish doing what he was and sighed.

Old Man Thompson stepped out of the back, leaving things to cook, so he could check up on the customers. He spotted another customer. He took another old menu from underneath the desk and made his way to Dekuran. He put the menu on Dekuran's table, then made his way to the back, checking up on the food.

He came out with the man's coffee. "Here you are, sir." He said. "Your pancakes are still being cooked." With that, he went back, yet again.

5 minutes later, Old Man Thompson came out with a pizza, despite what he said about the pancakes. "Pizza's ready!" He yelled, placing the pizza on the table.

He then walked over to Dekuran. "What was it you wanted?" He asked, still unaware of Anthony's presence.

The man waited impatiently for his pancakes, but didn't say anything. He had hoped the coffee would have been enough to make him tired ((since that was the effect it had on him)) enough that he wouldn't even be tense anymore.
