Mira eyed a parking spot. He tried to park, but someone stole his spot. "Dammit!" Mira yelled. "Oh, another spot!" Mira tried to park at that one, but it was stolen from him - yet again. "D'oh!"

Sandra was concentrating on not twitching as Mira kept slowing down and then speeding up, which Sandra assumed meant he would get ready to park but someone would steal his spot. She sat silently and stared forward, hoping at least something would go right.

About 5 minutes of stolen spaces and lots of grumbling, Mira finally parked the car. He undid he seatbeat and got out of the car. He waited for everyone else to get out before he moved on.

The continous jerking forward and backward did little more to BM than annoy him. 'Why is a house on Pine Street so popular?!' he wondered. Soon enough, though, the car parked and, in one quick movement, undid his seatbelt, opened the door and stood outside it. He held the door open and looked around once more. It was as infested with cops as he'd thought.
"So..." he muttered, "Here we go again. Wonder if the company will make things easier." In the back of his mind, he'd almost decided it wouldn't.

Sandra practically leaped out of the car as soon as Mira parked and ran to the door of her sister's house, leaving Mira and BM behind. But then, when she reached the door, she hesitated. If there were so many policemen, then what would she find? She waited for Mira and BM to catch up.

Mira caught up to Sandra and waited for BM. "Why the pause?" Mira asked, wondering why he hesitated going in, despite the fact she ran up to the door.

"Oh, I was--" BM started before realizing Sandra was already out the other door. "...Just taking in the view, I guess." Shutting the door as gently as he could manage, BM began walking over to the front door. He tried to avoid the policemen, but most of them seemed to be inside already.

"Hm? Oh, it's nothing," Sandra said, taking a breath. Then, she opened the door to the house and walked in.
"Sandra! Just the person I was waiting to see," one of the officers said
"Yeah, yeah," Sandra snapped. "What happened?" Her eye was on the dangling splotch in the middle of the room.
"It looks like she hung herself," the officer replied.
"What?! My sister would never do anything like that!" Sandra yelled.
"Well, can you prove that to us?"
"I was sent here to investigate a murder, not confirm a suicide. But fine, I can prove it to you. I see...A purple splotch. Possibly a bruise. Check the back of her head. And...Since she's dangling, I can assume that you think she hanged herself. There's no way she could have done that if she was already knocked out," Sandra responded. "Now, stop wasting time and find the murderer."
"Oh, I think we already have," the officer said calmly. Sandra was quiet for a second.
"Hm...Smart move, making sure I came back here so you could arrest me. But I could never fake concern for anyone. I'm a terrible liar. Tell me if you think I'm lying when I say I didn't do it. I couldn't have done it," Sandra said as the officer hand-cuffed her.
"You are under arrest for the murder of Felicia Castro, allow me to..."
"Hold on," Sandra interrupted. "Could I talk to Mira and BM before you bring me downtown?" The officer nodded and Sandra turned to Mira and BM.
"Looks like you guys have to investigate this yourselves..." she began lamely.

Mira shook his head. "What makes you believe she did it?" Mira asked the police, clearly not letting them arrest Sandra without a valid reason. "If you cannot answer that question, then remove the 'cuffs."

"Oh, I can," said the officer. "We already figured out what knocked out the girl, and it had Sandra's fingerprints all over it. Also, there is evidence that..."
"Hold on one second, officer. Not to patronize you or anything, but this is my sister's house. It's only natural my fingerprints would be all over the place. Plus, how do you explain how I hanged her after wards? I can't tie knots, much less make a noose. So, are you arresting me or are you trying to get me to tell you relevant information regarding my sister via interrogation. You know I'd cooperate fully with you."
"Look, it wasn't my idea that you did this. Somebody else already has evidence against you. I'm not sure of everything myself. However, what I do know is that you're the only one who's come here within the past few days, and there was no forced entry so..."
"Someone could have rigged the security system to say that. I didn't do it, okay?"
"And there's a video of you killing her."
"WHAT?! A video? ...From the security camera. Naturally, it would catch something. Could you show Mira and BM the video?" Sandra asked. "It would be pointless to show it to me. I wouldn't be able to see what was happening anyway."
"I don't have it on me. They'll just have to go to the precinct and ask the chief for it," the officer said.

"Just because I don't have the video on me doesn't mean I'm lying," the officer said.
"Yeah, whatever," Sandra said. "If you really had one, you should have brought it with you, since it wasn't like you didn't know I was coming."
"The chief has it," the officer insisted.
"Then quit wasting time and get him. And quit side-stepping Mira's question." The cop's brow furrowed with concentration as he tried to think of a way to get the chief without getting yelled at yet again.
"This happened a couple days ago," the officer said.
"Look, a couple days ago I was at my apartment organizing everything so I could have an office. Then, I came over and talked with Felicia and we celebrated my..."
"You can tell us your side later, right now..."
"Right now, I need to talk to Chief Shelby. She can be mean, but I don't think she'll yell at you for supposedly wasting her time. We're friends, remember?" The officer sighed and opened his mouth to say something when someone appeared behind him.
"At ease, Mike," she said. "Sorry I had to leave you to this incompetent moron. I had to search over the evidence again. Make sure there was nothing wrong. Anyway, I hope this idiot told you about why you're the one accused of this crime."
"Um...Not really. He didn't tell us much. All hetold us was that there was a video..."
"Mike, go take a walk. I sincerely apologize. He was talking about this video. I'm sure your colleagues would like to see it," Shelby said.

"It'll be helpful, but I already suspect a fame-up." Mira told Shelby. "By the way, where's the security camera?" Mira asked, as he began to eye the room for the camera in question.

Shelby laughed.
"See if you can find it. I'll give you two hints. It's towards the ceiling and it's very small. The only people who would know about it are people who she told and people who looked for it for quite some time. You see, it's quite a reach from anywhere unless you use a ladder, so it's quite hard for someone like Sandra to cover it up," she said. "And do you think I haven't suspected that Sandra might have been framed? We're friends. But the video, fingerprints, and blood don't lie. They're all incapable of it."
"B-blood?!" Sandra asked.
"Yes. Not only was Felicia's blood here, but so was yours."
"Wait. I thought she just had a bruise..."
"Well, yeah. That's what someone who could only see splotches would think. She had multiple cuts and scratches, as if she was in a physical fight with somebody just before she died. And guess what? We found your blood on the floor as well as hers." Sandra looked surprised.

Mira pulled put an empty syringe with a needle on it. However, the needle was obviously covered with a rubber cover, as to avoid unnecessary reactions (and to prevent any accidental penetration through clothing and skin). "These are very easy to get." Mira told Shelby. "And the needle is so thin that the suspect can't feel a thing. It can be used to get a blood sample, or, in the wrong hands, use it to frame someone. Video, fingerprints, and blood don't lie because they can't. That's the job of the culprit. Oh!" Mira pulled out his badge. "FBI, I'm trained to look past such info to get to the bottom of a crime.

"That reminds me, do you know what happened to Phoenix Wright?" Mira asked, signaling to BM and Sandra to keep quited, waiting to hear Shelby's response.

"Hm...I hear he was murdered and that our finest detective, Sandra, was on the case," Shelby said. "And of course it's easy for someone to get their hands on a needle like that, but they'd have to get a lot of samples from Sandra, and with her ability to hear things that none of us could, she would hear if someone was coming towards her and would definitely feel a needle being poked into her skin. Unless, of course, she was sedated. But still, they would need a lot of samples to produce the amount of blood we found that belonged to Sandra." She seemed angrier for some reason when she had to say why she doubted Sandra was framed. It was as if she hated the fact that she knew so much about the case.

"Or just simply replicate the blood cells." Mira suggested. "However, I highly doubt that the murderer had the equipment to do so. But it's still possible. But enough about that. We were working out a lead with spirits and spirit mediums on that case, but then this happened. When did you say this murder took place?" Mira asked. "Any resemblance to the Phoenix Wright case? Also, is Sandra's father still incarcerated?"

BM stepped inside to what seemed to be hundreds of police officers, looking under things, talking to each other and the like. As the policeman and the chief interrogated (or were interrogated by, as the case may be) Mira and Sandra, he stood, trying to grasp exactly what was going on.
Halfway through the conversation, BM stared wide-eyed as Mira pulled out an FBI Badge. Mira then took the offense in the questioning. BM was filled with question, he was bouncing on his feet waiting to ask some. Still, he decided to wait. He figured at least one of those questions would cause something interesting to pop up. In the meantime, he took to staring the police chief in the eye.

"Sandra's father died a long time ago. You mean Richard, her brother. Yes, for now. He hasn't had his trial yet, but he'll have it tomorrow," Shelby replied. "It's very odd indeed. This happened, oh, I'd say maybe the day before the case concerning the murder of Mr. Wright started. We waited until now to make an arrest because...Well...Let's just say I was pulling out all the stops to make sure Sandy here wouldn't be arrested for a crime she didn't commit. As for the resemblance between cases, not really. Nobody was dismembered or anything. At least, not that we're aware of. However, you may investigate yourself. We made sure to preserve as much of the crime scene as we could." Then, she looked at BM. "And did you have any questions for me?" she asked him.
Sandra didn't say anything as she thought of who could have framed her for her sister's murder.

"Well..." he said, thinking everything through. "I was mostly wondering about the big bloody fight. Do you think there were weapons involved? And..." Taking a short pause, he tried to make sure he was making sense. It all seemed to make sense to him, so he went ahead. "If there were, why bother hanging her?"

"Yes, someone thought we were idiots," Shelby said.
"It really doesn't make sense...Unless the killer is hiding something," Sandra said. "There is a reason for everything."
"Please, Sandra. Telling us what probably happened will only incriminate you, and there will be no escape..."
"You were going to arrest me anyways. Besides, I'm only doing my job. Now, here's why they did something like that, there were no guns or knives. However, there are weapons around here that someone used. Glass shards, blunt objects, things that would hurt, but not kill per se. She was fighting with someone and it got out of hand on both sides. Why they would be fighting, I'm not sure. Blood was spilled by both sides, and finally the killer...well, killed her by strangling her. That's when they started trying to cover up, whoever they were..."
"So they hung her and changed her clothes. But why cover up like that? They could have done other things than a flimsy thing like that."
"...Get her body out of the noose. Perhaps there is some more evidence. You should have done that in the first place."
"Do you think we're stupid? Her body's at the morgue. What's up there is just a dummy that has been recreated to look like how we found her," Shelby said. "And yes, there were signs of strangulation on her and... ... ..."
"And more evidence incriminating me?"
"Yes."

Sandra's face lit up.
"I know all there is to know about my little sister. I raised her myself, along with her brother. You see, I'm quite a bit older than those two. Our parents died when I was about fifteen, so rather than going into foster care, I worked as many jobs as I could while going to school. It was hectic, but I always managed to pay bills and get good grades. Anyway, we all grew up quickly. I became a detective, Richard ran his own business, and Felicia became a doctor, and later became the dean of medicine at a hospital that's not too far from here. I believe it was called something weird like Hickfield or something like that," Sandra replied. "And she was the best ever. Everyone liked her. She just turned 25 a month ago..." Then, Sandra was jolted back to reality. "I can't believe she's gone," she added sadly. "She was...My pride and joy." Sandra turned to Shelby.
"I'm sorry...Shelby will tell you whatever else you need to know," she said miserably.

BM took to thinking through what Sandra said about the fight. 'No guns or knives, that's what I thought... Random stuff, yeah. Strangled her first... ...I guess that works.' When she spoke again, he listened as intently as he could. He almost felt his eyes watering up.
"I--" he started, trying to think of anything to say to help calm Sandra down. He found his vocabulary to be lacking. 'Poor little Felicia...' Regaining a bit of focus, he turned to Shelby. 'A doctor too...' He was about to bite his thumb when he caught himself on something. "...Dean of Medicine?"

"Ermmmmm.... That's important info, but I was looking for things like her relationship with other people." Mira said. "But since it's out there, where's the motive to kill?" Mira asked. "Anyone else with a motive, although not necessarily the murderer?"

"Lots of reasons that..." Shelby began.
"Point to me. I know. But we're trying to think of the actual killer now. So, if you don't mind...Let's see...There are some other doctors that feel they were supposed to become dean of medicine, so they could have been jealous. Or...Hm...I don't know a lot of people who could get in without forced entry AND have a reason to kill her. Maybe...Richard...But how would he pull it off?" Sandra asked, frustrated.

"Hm...My motive? We got into an argument, but what family never argues?" Sandra replied.
"Were you jealous of her?" Shelby asked.
"No. I'm happy with being a private investigator," Sandra said earnestly.
"And how big was this argument you had?"
"It was over something stupid and small. Just over some money..."
"To the tune of 5 million," Shelby interrupted.
"Look, to you, that would be a reason to kill, but money holds no value to me compared to my sister's life. You believe me, right?" Sandra asked. "You see, my sister and I were always lending money to each other. One day, I got very sick and...Well...Let's just say the medical tests were way too expensive. Turned out that the doctors did every unnecessary test they could think of, and the fact that I had to pay a lot of other bills around that time certainly didn't help. All those tests and bills stacked up, and so Felicia paid for everything. It got to be about five million dollars. That's what the argument was over."

"If he was involved with hospitals, he might have been involved with the hospital Sandra was at." Mira suggested. "One of those 'unnecessary' tests might have been a blood collection. When was your appointment in relation to this here murder, the Phoenix Wright murder, and what we were checking out before this incident?" Mira asked.

"My...appointment?" Sandra asked blankly. "It was a friendly visit on my part. I believe it was...The day before you showed up at my doorstep with one of Mr. Wright's body parts and a couple hours before this murder, I believe... What time was she killed again?"
"Around midnight," Shelby said.
"I left here at about 11:00 that night because I had to get some sleep," Sandra lied. "Before the murder occurred." Shelby shook her head.
"Not according to the video or to the security system. It says you left after the murder. The video might lie, but the security system records when people arrive and when they leave. Nobody left before midnight that night," Shelby said. "Care to explain?"
"...No," Sandra said.
"Then we'll just have to get it out of you when we interrogate," Shelby said intimidatingly.
"I didn't kill her, but...I...I..." Sandra seemed to be struggling with what to say. "Close, but no cigar. You'll just have to interrogate me because I can't tell you right now why I couldn't leave until after...You know what."

"Good point." Mira commented. "If that's the case, it supports my theory of a disguised suspect. Sandra, where are your wounds (if any)?" Mira asked. "Also," he turned his question towards Shelby. "What kind of fight did they supposedly have that resulted in blood loss from both parties?"

"This whole think is crazy to me," Sandra said. "I'm well aware of the security system. The video camera is hidden by the roof, giving it an aerial view of everything and automatically taping everything. It's taping our conversation right now, in fact. There's also a camera by the doorway that automatically takes a picture of everyone who steps by it, which is when they're leaving or arriving. "We have the pictures right here," Shelby said, showing Mira and BM the picture of Sandra leaving at 12:15am. "And the fight was apparently a cat fight that turned into an all-out brawl between the two. We believe it at least started as a fist fight."

Sandra didn't bother to show any wounds, so he decided to ask again after Shelby showed the footage of the fight.
