It was made pretty clear in the trial that Misty was in on the plan and accepted any possible consequences from following through on it, including her death. Nobody questioned this.

Godot wasn't acting in self-defense since, uh, he wasn't in any real danger himself, and "assisted suicide" is still murder according to the government that convicted Dr. Kevorkian.

Yes, I believe at a certain part of the trial. "Paying the ultimate price" was quoted and highlighted (emphasised) which could have meant paying the price of her life, and/or the price of even Pearl Fey. The gist of the plan was to protect Maya at all costs if Pearl had channeled Dahlia before Misty then Pearl would be dead.

That's true...

That makes me wonder why Phoenix doesn't just use Maya for ALL his cases then.
