Hmmm, see if you are adding the evidence correctly.

PWLib 1.2 will ship with the Perceive (I just really need to add the bracelet button, it is easy and fast).

If possible, send me the file via email (and remove from here, the file is too big to post here). My email is the same as my MSN one, btw.

-----------------------------------
What makes me happy at Shinku is that it reduces evidence creation to a single function call. Good for newcomers and advanced users who want to get it done in a second.

Some notes about PWLib's future and about Shinku too

I was recently starting to get very competitive towards PyWright, nothing related to the over-praise it was getting. I thought a lot about it, expected a lot from it.
But recently I got a hold of the Turnabout Substitution. as I seen it, I realized something important that marked a big change over my action on CR. My expectation were largely wrong: I expected a lot more from what I saw. My calculations were (largely) wrong.
So, saluk, I'm sorry if I said things I shouldn't.
As a result, I decided to don't care about it any more. As well, it even motivated me back into working at PWLib. After all, PWLib is about professional quality, so I have to keep up that.

Yes! I remember, when testing my cases, when I had to see a part over again, it wouldn't speed up like in the game. Anyways, I'm just saying it will save time and it's more like the actual game :edgy: .

- (AIGE) Updated the fps stabilization wait command to support minimal fps.
- (AIGE) Smoothed the Fade Effect (placefade). Now it smoothly always fades in and out without "blinking" on fps irregularities.
- (PWLib) The updated fps stabilization command update allowed smooth startup of PWLib.
- (PWLib) The Loading screen now fades away once loading is complete and the fps is stabilized (min:20, max:60). Now you can use custom logos after PWLib loads up without any issue.
- (PWLib) The BG shrinking on the last stages of the Loading was fixed. also the BG is set to transparent after load to prevent missing title screens for example.
- (PWLib) Added Capcom, as well PW 1 2 3 and AJ logos to a new folder on the GFX: logos. KSA Technology logo will be there as well.

AIGE is present on the core package (it is composed of the AIGE.exe and some suporting dlls).

For the tutorial, try save as in it and then opening locally (best option, imo).

The Case 1-1 version I have must be bugged because there are portions when the effects are not working correctly (and it is on the game code, not on PWLib). The most visible is on the leave cross examination after a press.

The problem with Case 1-1 is just that the screen fade-in and fade-out are switched.
Other than that, I think it works fine.

placeshake("pw_bg","bg",20,9,19);

The strength is not linked to the fps (so no strength/60). Set the value until you get the desired value.

On shake, the strength defines how strong the shaking will be.

To hide the evidence box:

runscript("pw_hideflyingevidboxleft"); if you showed it on the left or
runscript("pw_hideflyingevidboxright"); if you showed it on the right.

You can hide it instantly by: runscript("pw_hideflyingevidbox");

Oh, just remembered. I found a slight error in Lt. Morke's Edgeworth. On line 919, it reads:
setanimationframetexturecoordinates("Edgeworth_Handondesk_Talking",10,558,18,159,147);
It should be changed to:
setanimationframetexturecoordinates("Edgeworth_Handondesk_Talking",10,588,18,159,147);

EDIT: Found another one. Line 332.
setanimationframetexturecoordinates("EdgeworthDA_Pointing_Talking",9,181,168,139,146);
Change to:
setanimationframetexturecoordinates("EdgeworthDA_Pointing_Talking",9,170,168,139,146);

Note, these are for the normal Edgeworh, NOT the young one. Don't get confused.
I think that's all of 'em.

By the way, KSA...
When Lt. Morke said he would make DA Edgeworth, you initially objected because AIGE had some "flip" feature with which to do this more easily. He then pointed out the difference of the attorney badge, and so on...

But what is this "flipping" feature you mentioned? In my fangame, I'm going to need some PW attorneys to be prosecutors, and vice versa. If there's an easier way of making flipped character animations, it would be of huge help. :phoenix:

The flip coordinates is applied to an object, so all animations or textures applied to it will be flipped automatically.

Recently I even added the final type of flipping (XY).

The command is:
swapobjecttexturecoordinates("objtype","objname","type");

For the character, you would use
swapobjecttexturecoordinates("char","pw_char","type");

type can be: X or Y (anything else results in no flipping). AIGE 0.9.800a supports the XY one.

Oh and KSA, about the character overhaul: I aimming to release them in packs (3 or 4). Do you want me to do anything specific with them, like multi-character support? (I'd just need to know the code for it)

The multi-char support uses a trick to work, something very simple. Instead of referring directly to the "pw_char" character, i use a variable named [pw_chartitle]. By default it is set to "pw_char", so it work like before. For multiple chars, you create the new character object and simple change the [pw_chartitle] variable to the name of the character object you want to work with.

But if you're going to release it to the public before PWLib 1.2, I recommend sticking with the "pw_char" so it is usable on PWLib 1.1.

Example:
[pw_enableaprilnormal]
recfunctionname([pw_charfunc]);
placecharacter([pw_chartitle],81,45);
setcharactersize([pw_chartitle],93,148);
setcharacterlipsyncsilent([pw_chartitle],"April_Normal");
setcharacterlipsynctalking([pw_chartitle],"April_Normal_Talking");

Do be honestly I believe KSA really needs to just silently compile that dll file into AIGE. The amount of people that do not read that they need to fetch this DLL is nuts, it's already been posted at least 8 other times in this topic. Download d3dx9_34.dll from here Then copy the dll file from the zip into the same folder as AIGE.exe

Yes, you have, welcome to a blank game which is exactly what AIGE is currently set to execute.

If you want to see AIGE in action you could grab a copy of Case 1-1 from my signature or if you are planning to code a game it might still be worth grabbing a copy of the tutorial manual on KSA's website. If you are more of a practical learner (like I am) I am afraid at present you will just have to read other peoples code and go that way at present because unfortunately there's no "practical" lessons.

If you are interested in seeing AIGE in action and grab a copy of Case 1-1. When you open the zip extract it to the AIGE folder.
afterwards go into the fixes folder and make sure to follow those instructions very carefully. Afterwards take the case1.hlsl file that you should see in the same folder as AIGE.exe and put it into the folder named "auto" . Then you can run AIGE and enjoy the game!
If you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything!

Finally, d3dx9_34.dll. This .dll should have been added since 1.0. If I weren't so lazy, I would count how many people asked for that. There's even people who downloaded it, but still didn't know how to put it... And things like that.

Anyway, may I ask what is this "PWLib Character Overhaul" business? Is it a check-up for all the sprites Lt. Morke listed on his signature, to see if fixing/enhancement should/could be done? Excuse my ignorance, but the word "overhaul" is not very common to me :S

By what I understood: fixing the characters to look as real as possible, fixing mistakes and such.
