Okay then, Thanks for accepting my request. ^_^

I made a quick mock-up.

Here's the face (animation) which I'd like you to use:

The idea is, to have a clickable banner to different topics (or url's)
Pay no attention to the background, just there to fill the space.
Feel free to go nuts on the design, I'll trust you with that. :P

Euhm, need anything else?
thanks again. <3

SoundsFishy: Awww, thank you so much. :) I'm happy to know that my work has caught your eye - welcome to CR, by the way!
The queue may look long but it shouldn't take long to get your finished request :D

I'll add you to the waitlist next time I update it in a post.

Blinq: Certification for what? ^__^;
My week isn't bad.. I've been mainly working. On Wednesday I have an admissions interview. >__>; I'm somewhat nervous.
Besides that, nothing much else is new. Next week I start the spring semester 8) I'm excited for that.

LADYGOGGLES: OH MY GOD THAT IS PURE GENIUS!!!!!!!
*saves to computer*
You really should make more of these, I simply love the idea. You made the companion cube into something like the Monopoly guy. :D

Thank you so much! :)

EDIT: I showed it to my best friend and he LOVED it too :]

Trabz: Haha, it's ok. I know how crazy it can get when it comes to keeping track of multiple threads and stuff.
Aww, but you are a sweet person. :)
I'll be happy to help! I'll stop by.. sometime soon. I actually spend TIME on helping others with critique so I need to find a nice chunk of time to devote to that. I like putting effort in my critiques because ya know.. a half-assed critique that's completely vague never helps. >__<;

We don't live in the same country so I have no idea what you're talking about, haha. I assume it's just passing for the year?
In my middle school/high school system we never really had certification for the year or anything, as long as you passed your classes you were fine.

And yep, I'm still on vacation (though it hasn't felt much like a vacation since I work every day ^^;).
I'm a college student so we have over five weeks off between the fall and spring semesters.

BTW, I'll be working on your request next. :)

I gave you the option to go animation-less as well.

Oh, wow... so pretty. :) Your work never ceases to amaze, Vicki. May I bother you with a wallpaper request? If you're too busy or if I'm being annoying, then, of course, please don't feel bad about telling me just that. There is just this piece of fanart that I've run across that is begging to be turned into a wallpaper. It's too pretty to just sit contently in my fanart collection and your work is always so wonderful that I had to at least ask.

Text: None
Image: this please
Any preferred size?: 1280 x 800 I believe.
Color scheme: You always know best.
Extras? (hearts, stars, swirls, etc.): Again, this is your choice. I trust you.

Thanks so much for even considering this. I appreciate all the lovely graphics you've made for me. :)

Hello again, Vicki, looks like your work is still legendary:D

If it's not too much trouble, I'd like to request something please;)

Is is possible to request more than one thing at a time? I wouldn't need them all at once, but if you could make some or most of these, I would be very grateful:) I apologize for asking so much, but if you can help, I will not pester you with time issues or anything like that.;)

Thanks Vicki; plus, I'm still loving the sig you made me a while back, which is why I'd like your help:D

[I'm really sorry again for asking so, so, so much, but if you can do these in between other projects when you feel like it, I don't really care if it takes months, I just really need these for a fanclub I started. Thanks so much again for all your time]

[EDIT: I have also asked Miss HarumiFey for the same thing; I know this is usually considered bad, but please hear me out. I believe that if avatars and pics are made, both will not be the same, and both will have its own creative look. I promise to use both and appreciate both versions if they are made. Thanks so much, and sorry if this is a problem.]

1. Haruhi Suzumiya Character Avatars - Some for each of the characters, if you can and would like to;)

Text: None, unless you think something funny goes well with it:D
Images: Just gonna post as many as I can find here, please pick any ones that are easy for you to work with, I trust your decisions:D

Preferred Size: Around 100x100, since they are avatars.:D Thanks
Color Scheme: Anything that goes well with the pic, I know your decisions are great;D
Extras: Nothing really, unless you think something good fits in; you're the expert:D

2. Haruhi Suzumiya Sigs - Same as above, some for each character if you want, and maybe one of the entire group with the text SOS Brigade, please:D

Text: SOS Brigade - (insert character name here)
Images: Same as above; if you need some new ones, I'd be more than happy to search for more for you:D
Preferred Size: Whatever the usual signature size is:S Sorry, I don't know much about sigs
Color Scheme: Again, your choice, anything that works
Extras: Anything that works:D

3. Haruhi Suzumiya Collabs - Just big pics mixing the images above together, only do if you can and want to;D

Text: None, unless again, you feel something good can fit in the pic
Images: Same as above; again, I can search for more if you'd like
Preferred Size: Average size of 800x600 or something like that:S Sorry again, I'm terrible with dimensions
Color Scheme: Whatever works:D
Extras: Anything that works:D

Oh my goodness, I cannot believe I have asked so much:O I apologize again.

Once again, if you can't do these, I understand, it is a huge demand and I appreciate any help you can offer.
And there's no time limit for these, any time you can do them is perfectly fine for me;)

Thanks so much Vicki, if you can do this, you'd have my lifelong gratitude. Thanks!

Papermario: Sure thing. Your request doesn't seem too demanding, especially the avatars. Make sure that once you post the results in your fanclub/forum/thing that you either link me or make sure my name stands out so proper credit is due. That's all I ask besides for a "thank you" :)

Ceres: You're very welcome :D I have a high level of respect for your work!

Blinq: EVERY teacher on the face of this planet should severely punish a student if he/she wrote like that in class. Oy.

Yes, you should experience the awesomeness that is Portal. ^o^

Lunaria: YES! I was interviewed by my top choice for graduate school this morning. The co-director of the program (my interviewer) took one look at my transcript and other documents and said, "I can tell you right now that we would love to have you in our program." She then interviewed me for about twenty minutes. It was extremely brief, mostly her talking about the benefits of the school's program in comparison to other programs.

She then introduced me to a current graduate student there and I basically learned that it was an amazing program with many opportunities. In addition, she said that I would be able to get 10k in scholarships right off the bat if I work as an assistant to one of the faculty.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I am so damn happy. I've been stressing this whole FORSAKEN graduate school admissions process for months, which made my past semester almost absolute hell because of the snowball effect with regards to so many other issues.

... Eeeh, sorry for rambling.

Anyway, if you happen to have questions about the process, let me know. I was so stressed (just as you are) for months, so I know how it definitely feels...

If you're mostly concerned about paying for classes, there should be scholarship, etc. opportunities available. Have you looked into them yet? You may be able to work with a graduate professor and receive some money for that. In my case, I'll be receiving about 7k for a year.

Oddly (and thankfully), my graduate tuition (for the year) will cost less than a year as an undergraduate. This is mostly because of those scholarships, etc.

I'm at the end, where you fight GLaDOS. ^^ I have a thing about timers...they make me really nervous (goes all the way back to first grade...I had to do tests separately from the class so that the timer wouldn't be too distracting combined with the sound of the classroom. I'm better with it now, but the timer still flusters me, so I don't function as well. I tried many times and then school started again, so...)

Yeah, I'm glad too. I think it went well...except for the listening portion at the beginning...I'm also bad at listening portions :bellboy: Thanks for the luck on my other final! I'll need it.

Yeah...it was a long road (I went through all of the threads) but I got back to the beginning in about three days! :butzthumbs: Yeah, I saw Ethed...and they stayed quite a while too...I wondered, too. The posts stopped fairly suddenly. =/ (Remember, I've also read through your thread two and a half times :edgy: I like...reading everything...in a thread?)

Also, congratulations on getting past the grad school interviews! I'm so happy for you ^^ Good job.

I think there at least two or three schools I'm going to apply for. One I know I'm a shoe in to get accepted because I have a very high undergad GPA and they don't even require you to take the GRE if it is that high. The other two I'm not so sure since I haven't really looked at their requirements closely. If I have to take the GRE, then I will, but I'm a little nervous about it.

I will definitely look into scholarships or other programs to offset the cost of tuition. At the school I went to for undergrad I think I could become a TA and get my tuition reduced, and probably at the other school I want to apply to as well but I need to look into it.. For the one that I would probably end up going to (the one I can get into without much effort), well, I'm not sure if they have TA since they don't have 1000 or 2000 level classes. All the school choices I have are good ones, don't get me wrong, I guess I have to look at what has the best course offerings for what I want to do.

Ach Vicki, (I've always wanted to say that), I've had another glorious, IMRS-GO (In My Ridiculously Self-Glorified Opinon), idea for a sig/avatar.

I know its only been a couple weeks since I've requested a signature, but don't worry, I use your sigs on different boards, so I still get some use out of it.

I hope you don't take offense :bellboy:

It seems you have been doing a string of neverending requests, Vicki, and you're still standing firm and strong. Well, I'm not really that surprised, since your art is so awesome and people that recognize this come to you, of course, but you are accomplishing them all, it's amazing. You are a CR legend. :knock-knock:

Oh, I'm lurking around here every now and then, it's nice to see your work. ^^
I'm still very satisfied with my sig! =D
But I may request an avatar...I don't know. Maybe later.
Keep up your good work, Vicky! You're awesome!!

Thanks so much for the support re: graduate school. :B
I'm happy to know that my hard work and studying paid off. x___x;

You've read my thread 2 1/2 times? O__O; That's a lotta pages. My other thread is over two thousand pages, so I can't imagine someone trying to read all of that. Jeez.

Lunaria: Sounds good. My undergraduate GPA will end up being a 3.94 (if I get As in my courses next semester, which will be relatively easy to do since one is a 100-level course and I'm only taking three classes). I had to take the GRE for graduate school, regardless of my GPA. If you end up needing to take it I can give some advice based on my experience.
It's nothing too challenging. I took it twice (most people do); I did horribly on the verbal section the first time. Then I studied for three weeks after that test date and took it again. I ended up improving over 100 pts and was especially proud of my 700 score on the qualitative section especially since I hate any type of standardized testing. I did really well on the writing section, though, so even though my verbal score is average at least I have good analytical writing scores.

Yup, it's all about researching your options and opportunities when it comes to grad school.

It should be somewhat "easier" to get into graduate school for these few years. My parents told me that 25% of students cannot return to ivy league schools because their parents simply can no longer afford the tuition. These schools need money, so they may be more lax in the admissions process these days.

Percei: Sure thing; no offense taken. :)

That is an awesome GPA, Vicki.

There is a GRE prep course that is offered at my Alma Mater, so I might take that and then take the GRE anyway. I'm not worried about the Verbal or Writing sections as much as the math. I can whip out an essay that follows a prompt in my sleep, and I often use big words in my everyday life so learning new ones is not that difficult to me. It's all about using them and internalizing their meanings. Math is another story. I know that the math level on the GRE is low, but its been a long time since I've take any math classes, so I really need a refresher in that area. Not that going into literary studies requires a lot of math skills (other than the pages/due date formula: C=Complete, P= Number of Pages in Book, D= Number of Days until it needs to be completely read. C= N/D).

I'm basically going to be testing the waters this first semester back in school anyway. If I don't like the school, I'll transfer to another. I want to make sure that I'm completely ready for graduate study before I blow tens of thousands of dollars on it.

I wish I could afford to go to one of the Ivy League schools, but I'll have to settle for the institutions in my area. One of the private universities in my area is on par with an Ivy League school, but I'm nervous about being rejected by them. When it comes to academics, I guess I've never had a lot of self confidence in my own abilities despite my good grades (I believe my undegrad GPA is 3.90 I can still remember the few courses that brought it down to that level. Damn you A- and B+.

Well, it's amazing that you can keep all of this going and still get in! But I agree, it's always rewarding to see positive results from hard work...(That is indeed a great GPA, by the way!)

Thank you both very much :) Yeah, I worked my butt off for that GPA and I'm glad that it was actually worth something in the end.
Biblio: Positive results are always win. It's a common feeling to be working on something (ex. a term paper) and realizing, "is it even worth all this hard work and loss of sleep?"

...*tears of joy*

How was the bio exam, by the way? Did you "WTFOMGPWNZ0R" it?

Lunaria: If you take the GRE then at least you will never have to stress about it if you suddenly decide to apply to a school that requires it for admission. I know several people that didn't take the GRE because it was uncommon for the programs to request it.. and then they discovered that they needed the GRE just a few months short of the deadline dates. I forgot the program they were applying to, but it's always good to get the GRE over and done with at least a few months before any deadlines because you never know if you will need to take it over. You can only take the GRE once per month, so test-takers need to be aware of that, too.

Indeed, the verbal is easy if you just remember roots and prefixes and all that. There's a few free websites I used that tested you on the most common GRE words - it helped immensely. It was a pain to re-learn all the triangle, etc. stuff for the math section, but I prefer the math section to the verbal. I guess I'm just one of the very few who actually enjoys learning about math/science.

I wouldn't be too nervous about being rejected to a prestigous school. The application fee is around 50-100$ which is probably the crappy part if you get rejected, but the point is, at least you tried applying. You never know if you'll get in or not - your GPA is excellent and I'm sure you have other things to boast about on your resume/C.V.

I applied to six graduate schools because that's the average number (1 school that is the school you really want to go to, 2-3 great/good schools, and 2-3 safe schools in case). For more competitive programs (like clinical psychology), I have known people to have applied to ten schools. O__O;

You sound very intelligent, I can't imagine why you wouldn't be self-confident in your academic abilities. Well, from the very brief amount of time I've known you, my personal opinion is that you're very smart and I'm sure many programs would love to have you. :) At the very least, your future plans are very reasonable so I'm sure you'll do fine.

Yeah...I used to not see how anyone could not, say, turn in their homework (like...I literally couldn't comprehend it. Like I said, sheltered kid when I was growing up.) Now...I can see how, and it's really tempting when you're working on something hard (like my homework assignments for LotF) and it's late and you want to sleep to just not do it...but if you get through it, it pays off in the end! (I got an A. I was so dang happy...my teacher is undisputedly the most difficult teacher for the two grades she teaches, namely Freshman English Honors and AP English 12...so, freshman and seniors. And I mean nobody disputes it. So getting A's is always a happy occasion.)

How was the bio exam, by the way? Did you "WTFairiesOMGoshPWNZ0R" it?
---
It was actually pretty okay! I didn't study enough, so I was really worried, and I walked to school nearly singing a funeral dirge. But once I got to it (since on finals days, we have two 2-hour final periods and we get out at 12, so I had English first, where we watched the 1961 version of Lord of the Flies since we had taken our 'final' already) it wasn't actually as bad as I had thought. It turned out that all of that nervousness was for nothing. It was hard in some bits, but overall...not that bad. I love that the teachers are forced to use Scantron sheets when they're finals in classes like that, so everything is multiple choice or true/false. =D So, I don't know if I PWNZ0Red it, but I think I did better than I hypothesized.

Also, I didn't say it before, but good job on the avatars! I know how difficult working with small canvases is...dA avatars are especially bad. >< But you did excellent ^^ (I'm making a few myself...at least sleep well in the knowledge that yours can't possibly be more amateurish than mine. That's me, amateur extraordinaire! :butzthumbs:)

By the way, it might be requesttiem soon. As much as I adore my current set...well, I have new musical obsessions with lyrics that are just begging to be graphicified =D But...not yet. I have to organize my thoughts.
Also, randomly, right now I'm watching an anime called Sola. It's short...only 13 episodes...but good so far! (Before that I watched Mahoraba and...another one.)

EDIT: Ohay, I just remembered something, Vicki. When I was watching Mahoraba (and taking 633 screenshots...) I found something...I think they made a reference to the character from your avatar in it! I can't be certain, of course, but this is a screenshot of Chiyuri-chan, the cosplaying-loving personality, who forced a cat into cosplay. Even if it isn't...it's still amusing. Ahhh...so many screenshots...<3
