Inspired by the "Random Fact" topic!

A topic where you can tell us your name, say if you like and/or are proud of it, and tell us a bit about it. Feel free to comment on other peoples names and say "Hay I'm called John Smith too!". Oh and also give as much or as little of your name as you want. ^^ (Also I know a lot of people don't like saying their names...)

Now about me...:

Spoiler:
I'm... APOLLO JUSTICE!

My name is Jamal and I love my name. It's the best and I really like it! It means "beauty" in arabic too. ^^ (Some people have said it suits)

My name's Ben(jamin). I intend to have the bracketed part deleted from all records when I am old enough, huh you can do it at 16?? When I can be bothered. I sounds a bit prissy to me. The full name originates from Jacob's youngest son in the old testament of the bible.
It means stubborn, in general... not the actual wording, but the implication is clear. It's true though, I am.

Please don't use it on the forum though, I don't mind people knowing my name, it makes me uneasy when they call me it.

My surname is really unique, I'm the only living male to have that name. I'm a little afraid someone would be able to easily pinpoint my adress from it... so I refrain from sharing it THAT often.

My first name is Michael.

If that was of any use.

I had a friend with the last name of Sczcepanski!!! It was always fun watching the teacher try to pronounce that. And whats funny is my last name is easy to pronounce, but no one can ever spell it right!

Ida is first my name, which means "work" or "labour" on Germanic. Also there's a mountain in Crete called Ida where Zeus supposedly was born. I hate my first name because it.is.short and boring, compared to my sis's, Serafina *sniff* Oh, and I'm named after one of Astrid Lindgrens famous characters.

Marie is my second name. I use Ida Marie as some sort of pseudonym.
Unlike others, I have two surnames, one for my Finnish family and one for my Norwegian family, I morely use the Finnish nowadays. I won't reveal both of them because they are both rare.

ayup, that's it, but REMEMBER that this Ida is pronounced ee-dah not ai-dah, they'd shoot you in Texas for that. :texasman:

....Yes, that IS a complete coincidence >>;

I like it. It's cute and plain. I've seen it mean a lot of things, but "universal," "healer," and "grandmother" among them. Sort of amusing because it was chosen because my family thought it would be an unusual name, but then a few years later the whole world decided to name their kid Emma or Emily >>;

Middle name=Rose.

1. Does this mean that this is the end of your "what gender is HH" game or do you change your name on weekends too?
2. Does this mean that you're related to CFTF?

As for me, my name is fairly unique and I'm really paranoid... >> Lemme just say that I've only met a few people who could pronounce it correctly on their first try and my family and I have no idea what it means, but I think my mom saw it in a poem somewhere and thought it sounded pretty... And my dad said he actually named me after some weird school in Germany, but he was drunk at the time, so I seriously wonder about that...

1. Ashley is a completely androgynous name that, as of late, has become popular for females, but was originally male.
2. CFTF is a stupid coincidence, I assume.

O lawd, that was SO unexpected! Doctor, get my pills before I pass out from the unexpectedness! :ack:

In all seriousness, though, yes, Al is my real name. It's short for "Alphonse". I was named after the French poet Alphonse Daudet, mind you, and NOT the FMA character. Full name's Alphonse Ferrez. Apparently, my name means "eager and noble"... Lawl, really? :P

My name's totally Asian.
OH WATCH THIS --

My-Linh Ha.
I dare you people to try and pronounce it correctly. (And for the really adventurous, how do you pronounce it...WITH A FRENCH ACCENT!? :adrian: )
I've found Americans pronounce it different than Europeans and even Vietnamese. It's quite interesting! Yum yum phonetics.

My middle/French name that I was given but I never use is Caroline.
