Have you been before? I went the summer after I'd finished my GCSE's with family.

Was SOOOOOOOOOOO much fun, the Oblivion is one of the best rides ever! And the Nemesis!

ARGH I WANNA GOOOOOOOOOOO!

I've been to Alton Towers :Mimi:
Though is Nemisis good? I didn't get time to go on it :sadshoe: have to go back ther ( Oblivion was amazing! Need to go on that again)

Oblivion is so amazing but over WAY too quickly! I love how you're just facing straight down, you have to put a lot of faith in the seats holding you in :edgy:

Yes Nemesis is ACE! Though what was supposed to be a blood waterfall was pink...... that's about the only thing that was bad about it hahaha

When I went (nearly SEVEN years ago now) it was when Air had just opened. Never got to go on it though :sadshoe:

I also went on the Log Flume (the photo is so funny, I look like I'm about to shit a brick X^D) and the River Rapids.

The River Rapids was the first ride we went on and I got soaked and was walking around with a soggy arse hahaha

Thankfully it was a hot day so I dried pretty quickly.

The queues are crazy though, 45 minutes to get on a ride that lasts about 30 seconds =^O

Humid, MilesWright? Whereabouts in the North East are you?

I'm in Sunderland and would say its a bit less cold and windy but its still cold.

Oh and my school trips were never anywhere exciting - usually National Trust sites within 10 miles of the school and the low point of Manchester Airport when I was 10, a whole day in a conference room being shown model airplanes and told a second runway would be great.

Never been to Alton Towers, must go one day.

Snow is drying up today, it was pretty hot actually. School was closed yesterday though so that was pretty good, although I had more lessons today so that was fail. Hopefully it'll snow like mad tonight, but it probably won't.

Well there are loads of chavs about, and I definitely wouldn't go out alone at night, but it's not too bad during the day. Unfortunately I live right near the chavs in the village (ie, we're quite close to the council houses), so that can be pretty annoying (especially when they're going down the streets drunk at about 3 in the morning). I dont get out much anyway, so I haven't personally seen the worst Nottingham can offer, fortunately.

No no... its just that in our village all the chavs come from one particular area, and that area just happens to be where all the council houses are. Granted not every single one of them are chavs, but most of them are.

I live right near a pub too but luckily my flat is hidden and so I can't hear all the ruckus. But in summer when I have windows open it might get quite bad!

Loud drunk people are really annoying.

I live on the main road so all I get are cars whizzing by and a view to die for. Yay for chav-less areas.

I like stepping outside just to catch a glimpse of the road at night...it's...beautiful *sob*

I live between two main roads and there's a pub about 1/3 of the way down the one to the right. Every Friday night/Saturday night/football game day there's at least ONE group that walk down my road singing as loudly as possible. Usually football songs.

That, or they just put bricks through people's windows.

I've wanted to live in Britain since I was a kid. I hate Argentina. It's horrid. It's not safe to walk down the streets not even when the sun is up. And crime is ridiculous. I mean, come on! My first cellphone was taken from me by 4 kids younger than me! (I was 13 years old then! The oldest was 12 and the youngest 8! It's ridiculous!) Some people think New York is bad. Because they didn't live in Argentina.

Seriously, I'm absolutely not exaggerating. I'm still waiting someone from Britain to adopt me... <:3 ...Anyone? (I wish I was joking)

Only thing I did in the snow was have a mini snow ball fight with my sister in the back garden, including throwing the odd snow ball at the dog (he loved it lol, he seemed rather keen on eating the snow too). Then my hands started to hurt (I was wearing gloves too) so I just went inside and haven't been back out. I only really like the snow because its getting me off school.

I can confirm, being only 45 minutes away and part of my family being orginally from around there.

It is.

But only just. Walking around it's like any other city.

You can only tell it's on another level when there's a football match.

And because they kick a terrorist who is ON FIRE, in the FACE.

Weegies are some of the few people left in scotland with a bit of traditional Scottish spirit left. Us Edinbugger's are pretty anglasized.
