A girl I know (Jess) once tried setting me up on a blind date for a dance two years ago, but I never got to meet my supposed date so that we could order tickets, so it never worked out. Looking back on how much that would-be date of mine has changed in two years, Jess and I both agree that she would have turned out much better if she had met me. I've always been the "moral gentleman" type and she's gone from being a pretty shy, quiet girl to being an overzealously partying and even skanky one. That change also killed her friendship with Jess and several other girls.
As for the girl I tried to get a hold of this week, I still never found her in school, and so never got a chance to talk to her. She hasn't replied to my message online, so either she just hasn't been online or she is ignoring that message. I'll give it one more week; if I don't talk to her again, I'll try to put things behind me. There are several other great girls out there, I'm sure of it.
The suspense still kills, though. I'd be much more relaxed or settled now if she'd have given me a definitive no (or better yet, a yes :P), but alas, I haven't seen her and am left guessing.

I feel your pain, George. I really do. It's tempting to hold on when the early signs look this promising. Don't get me wrong; I'm not saying it's utterly hopeless, but my experience tells me that prospects here are looking a little grim. I'm getting flashbacks to college. A lovely and lively redhead overheard me singing to myself just after an IVCF meeting, got really excited, told me I had a wonderful voice, and insisted that I join the worship team. She had the charm on full-blast. Even I, with all my pessimism, began to think that there was nowhere to go but up with this one. I started responding, things were looking so good...and then she started to pull away. She never directly expressed fear of or disgust with me, but gradually she grew cool toward me. I asked her what music she most liked and made a tape for her, but I never got to give it to her. I still have it and even play it on occasion, in fact. I got her email address and sent her several messages, but pretty soon our correspondence became one-sided. When I finally saw her again a couple years later, all the passion I once saw in her eyes was gone. She knew who I was and said "hi" cordially enough, but that was it. If I ever do end up reconnecting with and marrying her, it's going to take a miracle.

Aw, sorry to hear that. First crushes never truely go I've found (and normally first crushes are ones which never get anywhere >>) Don't worry about the bf, I've found guys normally understand girls hanging out with other guys (especially with me as most of my friends are guys).
With my bf we started getting a bit blah cause we've been together a month now, but we've not actually really spent any time together (only with loads of other people and I get distracted by them easily). So we decided to make sure we actually spend time together this month XD It's going really well since I explained my reasons for being awkward and scared when it comes to intimacy and he's been really understanding (he said he wants this to work and losing me isn't an option, which made even my frozen heart melt a bit XD(we have a joke I'm a robot cause I don't cry at sad films and all that >>; ))

okay how bout this. same bus. one day it was like seriously packed. like it was empty, then it came past my school, and i was standing. HOW DOES THAT WORK?!?!??!!?! and then teh bus came on the next stop since the other school is close and since i was standing near the front of the bus and he came on first. yeah. he took a quick rundown look at me kind of look. lyk srsly rundown. which is interesting cos his girlfriend im assuming was right next to him. oh and in peoples personal opinion can a guy with slightly curly hair be hot? yeah the guy that took a rundown at me. he actually looks okay wit curly hair. its interesting.
