I just beat JFA again the other day and I accidentally picked the wrong evidence and got that ending and I was like, "O_o LULWUT?!" I didn't see it all, but it was really sad. ;-;

1-5: For the brief period that the game made me believe Ema just might be a murderer, it was pretty emotionally stressful. Still not sure about this one, but the last two are definite.
2-4: I was completely running out of ideas as to HOW on earth everything could pull through okay; Gumshoe was nowhere near reaching the courtroom, when asked how to find Gumshoe I gave the wrong answer, and I had basically completely forgotten about Franziska. When she burst in, it was, again, the most unexpected character to come and help; not to mention I INSTANTLY remembered the tracking device and such, which made it a real rush.
3-5: Godot is incredibly badass. When a guy like HIM cries, you know it's something worth crying about. I always sort of think things through how they might be a movie (or anime series) and just after that quote "The only time a lawyer can cry is when it's all over" I would definitely just have a slow-motion sequence of him stepping down from the prosecutor's stand, putting his hands forward for the bailiff to arrest him, and nodding to Phoenix and Maya wordlessly before walking away (with the courtroom theme playing full-blast). Only downside is that that takes away the brief coffee scene afterwards.

I don't think Phoenix would act as he did in AJ if it was a continuation of this ending. It's obvious that losing his badge hit him hard, but I never got the impression that it had shaken his confidence in himself. If the miracle truly never happened, I think he would be far more weighed down by regrets in AJ.
