In all of the ace attorney games, which case do you think is the toughest?

I think it's 1-5. (Rise from the ashes) :damon:

IMO, RFTA is the hardest in the series

Rise from the Ashes gave me the most trouble--though it's also one of my favorite cases. Heck, were it not for that case, I wouldn't have a fan fiction.

I base the hardness of a case on how much I needed help from GameFaqs and how good I am at the game. RFTA was the last case I ever played, and I was more experienced, but I had to use GameFaqs a TON for Bridge to the Turnabout. I'm not sure how good I was at the point I played BTTT, but I'm pretty sure it was harder.

Anyways, those are definitely the two hardest cases

I'll agree with you guys on this one. 1-5 gave me the most trouble. All the mini-puzzles really gave me a hard time.

Well, I kind of developed a bad habit of frequenting GameFAQs the first time I played the games. D: I replayed AA later without help after I had forgotten a lot of things. 1-5 was sure a bitch that time around, with no help, so I have to agree with you all.

Yeah, Air. What part of 2-1 did you have trouble with? The first ones for me are always the easiest. (except for 4-1)

Jumping on the bandwagon....1-5 was the hardest for me, but I also had a pretty difficult time with 1-3 as well.

I'm sure I never had to use Gamefaqs more than once for any single case, and then it's usually for something stupid like I forgot to find one specific piece of evidence. That said, I seem to remember 3-4 tripping me up a lot - even the second time I played it! It has so few evidence pieces total that you end up using them all 3 or 4 times. And that caught me off guard.

Yeah, i'd have to say that of all the first cases, 4-1 was the best, most interesting and most elaborate. not to mention difficult. i'd have to say 4-2 and 4-3 were both easier.

also, am i the only one here who didn't resort to walkthroughs?

I'm jumping on the bandwagon and saying that 1-5 is the hardest. It was the last case I played. It was the most difficult, but I have to say, it wasn't as difficult as many people say it was.

3-4, due to the need to present the same pieces of evidence multiple times (especially that f%$^ing map :zenitora:).

I hate that case....

I didn't know that by hardest AA case you meant the series, I thought you meant the first game.
In that case, I'm hoppin' off the bandwagon and saying 3-5

1-5, definitely. The hardest part was cross-examining Angel. Second is 2-4. I'm surprised that no one has mentioned it yet. Third would be 3-4, I guess.

1-5 is the hardest.
Then:

2-3
3-2
2-1

Yeah, these 4 were the "hard cases" in my opinion.

Put my Vote in for 2-3. 1-5 may have been difficult as it really was three cases in one, but GS2-3 had a lot of loose ends.

I mean, how were you supposed to know to look in Berry's Coat? Even, at what point were you told to look for anything?

I think the hardest is 3-5,i got stuck so many times i couldn't even count.
2nd would be 1-5,all the stupid puzzles..
But still, both of them are part of my favourite cases in the whole game.

Max tells you in the detention centre--after you break his psyche-locks, I believe.

Other than that I thought it was quite clear overall, but I guess it differs ;>

Personally I thought 3-3 was annoying.

For me, the hardest case ever was...

Spoiler:
1-1

And more, too :

Spoiler:
Seriously, 1-5 was long, and difficult. First, cross-examining Angel seems hopeless, 'cause it seems we haven't enough evidences. The second part with Meekins and Marshall was a bit annoying. As for me, when it's hard, it's annoying. And when I don't find the solution, I just want to shut my DS down.

And the trick with Gant was so bitchy !

YAY Someone else hated 2-1

I think it was I was becoming extremely frustrated, but to this day I still think that 2-1 haunts me the most..... not to mention it was my first time ever playing a PW game, so I think my lack of experience contributed to the difficulty scale.

Well, I don't hate 2-1 itself, but I agree that it does a terrible job at being an introductory case for new players. It's way too hard, way too confusing, way too "out of the box".

yeah, I even found 3-1 AND 4-1 to be easier.

It was horrible, I was stuck on that one part where you had to present the autopsy report for one reason or another, but as soon as I got over that hurdle (blasted thing took me about 30 minutes to get) the rest pretty much fell into place....

Not to mention Richards 3 second delay of him shaking his head.... FNSDFSFSJGNSFNSFNSFJNDFJSD *breaks*

3-1 is a fantastic introductory case. Not only is it easy to understand and figure out (and it's still very satisfying, not as blatant obvious as 1-1), it's a great case altogether. In fact, 1-1, 2-1 and 4-1 are my three least favorite cases, but 3-1 is one of my favorites.
Ironically, 3-2 is like 2-1 again, but at least, it's not a first case.

4-1's difficulty was okay, but that is the weakest case in the series, in my opinions.

On the topic of 2-1: it actually turned me off of playing JFA, so it caused me to miss a lot of good cases (yes, I like JFA a lot)

I ended up using a walkthrough to get to the good bits :/

Here are what i consider to be the hardest for each individual game:

JFA: Reunion, and Turnabout

AJAA: Turnabout Trump

May I ask what was hard in 2-2 and 4-1? Those were, like the easiest cases in their games, at least for me they were. 3-3 was also very easy.

Well, in 2-2 there was the "Evidence contradicting the photo", to which i was convinced there was some.
in 3-3 i just did not figure out the cup for ages.
in 4-1... i can't actually remember what was so hard, but it was the only case i was ever remotely stuck on. Bar Brushel's nervous tic, mind you.

I agree wholeheartedly on PWAA
JFA, I'm not so sure as 2-4 was also fairly challenging, and I STILL get stuck 2-3 now.
T&T, 3-3 was amazingly annoying, what with the cup and the mirrors. But then again 3-5 was also very difficult.
On AJAA, I have to disagree with you on that. I think that 4-4 was the hardest of the game. Phoenix was practically playing the game for you in 4-1, IMO.

I don't know, 3-3 was one of the easiest cases ever for me, I figured out everything so fast.
It's also my 3rd favorite case, after 3-5 and 2-4.

3-5 was also kind of easy for me, it was the easiest final case (including 4-4).

2-1 is HARD?!??

The hardest would probably be 2-3 or 2-4, JFA had the hardest cases by far.

Does finding the
Spoiler:
"blackmail"
note from 3-5 and Percieving Brushel count? If so, those are by far the hardest in the series, but I don't think those count.
