Edit: Around 62 by my count, including Associates but not including COURT. A bit over half of superpowered people doesn't seem too bad, but we can make adjustments later when necessary.

Now hopefully that ugly little incident is out of the way, things can be better. :) I'll keep my ego in check and listen to everyone more and stuff like that. I still think though that the ratio of supers to non-supers is pretty good how it is. On the other hand, I agree with GP that some people's powers need to be lessened; hopefully it'll bring the balance we'll need. :)

Sorry to say it, Mezzo, but Redd's hand is backwards. :<
And I've been TRYING to brainstorm about the storyline for the arc (which is what be SHOULD be talking about mainly atm) and I haven't come up with much.
There's a lot of questions that need answering to start developing the rest of the plot. Who else from the police force shold we introduce in this story? Ema and/or Meekins? How much development should we show between Phoenix and Maya? Do they become good friends over the course of the arc? Or are they just teaming up for Mia and really start to be friends afterwards? And especially, how will Cravatman tie in to all of this?

To keep things simpler, I say we just focus on the Cravatman part of the equation, as he is obviously a much more important character (in this arc) than the police. Maya and Phoenix's relationship should stay rather awkward at first; Mia's death is still fresh and the two hardly know each other.

One thing is, I think his powers need a bit of work. I came up with a theory of the full extent of his powers (manipulating his cravats) and where they came from, and it was just too silly. XD Also, he needs a rapier.

LAWYERMAN FIRST. I mean, he's the main character and HOW MUCH info do we have on him?
Then Stargazer.
Then Comet. However, we should limit the development of Comet in THIS arc, as we will have more time to develope her character as Miss Murder and other enemies that concern her canon past become more prevelent.
Then our villian team: SPLENDIFEROUS and Pink.
THEN Cravatman. Like Comet, his importance will be fleshed out in later arcs.

Okay. So. Lawyerman. Well, we know he was the defense attorney for State Vs. Hawthorne, but after he discovered his powers Comet convinced him to become a superhero. And so he decided to deliver justice and defend the innocent his own way: fighting crime with his powers.
Although it won't be so prevalent in this arc, I think it should be important to flesh out Phoenix's early history, especially concerning Edgeworth. This way we could have an underlying element to the plot and set up some questions to be answered later concerning Phoenix and Edgeworth. You guys know I mean?

But we don't have to show how they know each other or why. :D

We have quite a host of supers in Splendiferous Arc. There's Lawyerman, Comet, Stargazer, Cravatman, Citro, Reflecto, SPLENDIFEROUS, and Pink at least.
What can they do with their powers and abilities? What are their limits? I think we really need to flesh out the powers of the characters before we really start developing the storyline. It'll help later, and it will be absolutely vital for planning battle scenes.

Why don't we start with our star, Lawyerman?
His powers are Flight and Energy Manipulation. Now the power of flight is relatively easy to understand, but how high and how fast can he fly? *insert "flight of the Phoenix" jokes here*
But what really needs work is the "energy manipulation".

No, seriously though, you're the one who revives this topic, regardless if you were the last poster or not. So don't worry about it.
Nooooow, on topic. Lawyerman was born with his powers. Lawyerman gets his powers from the sheer power of his belief in JUSTICE...or whatever. His power dies when his trust in JUSTICE dies. So like, if someone close to him dies and the person who killed him/her gets away his powers weaken significantly. Okay, that wasn't very serious, but I can't think of anything right now.
Lawyerman can create ropes, make nets, power his pawnching skills with ENERGY and shoot beams from his hands/eyes. And fly. Okay, so the beam thing was mostly my wishful thinking, but hey? A girl can dream, right? The extent of his powers...ropes can be almost infinite in length but lack much strength. The nets can't be too big, say about big enough to snare a person but not so small that you can't do anything with it. Powering his punches...well, he can't use more energy with his punches than he can with the rest of his skills. And shooting lazers...the lazers extend about 10 feet and have enough energy to destroy a truck.
Not much else there. I'm just thinking as I go along, so not much of this is useful, I know.

And this energy has to come from somewhere. I think the energy comes from Phoenix's own life force, so he has to watch for how much power he uses. A massive overusage of his power can endanger his life.
