Mix of Batman and the Question. Arguably the only two good things to come out of DC comics ever.

seriously I'd love it if he did. it'd be funny, he'd be all like "AND BECAUSE THEM LIBERALS HATE AMERICA I HAD TO SMACK SOME PUNKS MYSELF!" on his radio show.

Or not, I don't really listen to his show. Nor really care.

You people are making me like Rorschach less...

Oh well, at least I still have blue penis Dr. Manhattan. And Ozy's "boys" folder made me lol, while some of the audience stared at me like "wtf is wrong with her??" The opening title sequence was amazing

I'm staying out of faux intellectual talks about the novel/movie from here on out though, sorry.

Also, the fact that Solid Snake wrote the script made me lol even more.

I'm agreeing with Croik on this one. I think that Ozy's new plot is somewhat more logical. (Not like theres much room for logic in the Watchmen universe)

And for what it's worth, I enjoyed the movie, but I hated Billy Crudup as Dr. Manhattan.

See, the thing that's always been great about the giant squid is that it made sense in the context of the relationship between the Cold War Era USA and the USRR. You would've needed something unbelievable to make those two entities join hands and work together. The moment you make Ozymandias' method more rational is the moment the outcome becomes more irrational.

It's a deconstruction of the superhero genre, set in an alternate 1980's, starring not-quite-super heroes, save Manhattan.

Also, in response to your signature-
I'd KILL IT! KILL IT WITH FIRE! Worst Spider-Man Ever.

No it wasn't, it had holes and doesn't make nearly as much sense.

Not Spidey 3, One More Day. He asked what I'd do with One More Day, that's my answer. Retconning 10+ years of character development and history just so Pete's single and living with Aunt May again= Tremendously idiotic move.

Ah. I read about all that retcon stuff, but I didn't know what the name was. I stopped reading Spider-Man after all that creepy Spider Queen impregnation stuff. And pretty much stopped reading Marvel stuff altogether after Civil War. Now I pretty much just read crap people say is good.

So, unscrew you, but still screw the internet.

Garr....they had to change the ending....to keep the ending as it was would WAAAY boost the screening time and the movie is long enough as it is.

If they included Giant Alien...they'd have to include the side story of the comic book writers and the scientists being kidnapped cutting away to show their progress on the island.

Since they are including the guy who writes the Pirates comic, they'd need to include more backstory for the comic, the boy reading it, the newstand man rambling about the world, everyone who came to visit him.

It's only understandable they change the ending.

What I missed was Ozy's iconic "I DID IT!!!!!!!!" I liked how Ozy showed his exultation in the novel and I found it quite a step down with his boring, calm demeanour at his victory.

I forgot how much was involved in everything and all of the minor characters and sideplots and allusions the original comic had until I reread it

But you're pretty right.

I'm all Watchmen'd out for the next billion years so I've sort of stopped caring anyways

Yeah I had to think why they'd change it, didn't seem much point unless they simply wanted to be less cheesy...but I dislike them for that I even prefer Ozy's old glaring costume to his new styling one.

I'd have liked to see his awesome dome of life too :larry:

Nothing about the actor portraying Ozymandias was any good

He was like Mr. Slimy Grease Homo compared to the golden, Herculean bastard he was in the comic.

Yeah he used the "Greater Good" clause, by killing enough people the world would be forced to unite and sympathise with the country....you know so they didn't all look like jerks.

Pretty much like 9/11 the way I see it, got most of the world to unanimously hate terrorists...Ozy got the world to unanimously hate (and fear) Jon.
