Just thought I should mention (and this is a common mistake for a lot of people) that men and women buttons on clothing are different. Men are always left side over right, and women are always right side over left.
A good way to remember this is the saying: "Women are always right, and the men are always left over." ^^

I've seen numerous buttoned clothes being the "wrong" way.
Maybe those are the standards, and I know the standards don't get me wrong, but you don't have to abide by them.
So what Ceres did is okay, he shouldn't edit it if he doesn't feel like it.
Sure, he can if it bothers you too much.
But if I were him, I would just keep it as it is.

Oh, don't get me wrong... I might act a little furstrated but that's merly because I'm tired and can't really be bothered with posting in another way. :P
I was just pointing out, as I thought you were indeed trying to say how it should be done, that I myself also have numerous clothes that have the buttons the other way around. XD
If I made it and someone pointed it out, I'd consider it for another sprite but wouldn't change it because it would be hazzle for something that's a minor thing.

Reno's outfit is an interesting improvement from the first one (Though personally I always like the first one.) Though, the sweater does make his outfit a lot better though. A new outfit it always good :3~ Not sure if you'd have different outfits for him or not. Well, shirt wise.
The character witness looks great. Digging the elegant look and the hair. I assume you'll take care of the gray on his left shoulder. (Well his left not yours.)

The new witness looks...weird. Something about where his neck meets his hair looks weird, like his neck is extra wide, or his hair is floating or something...

I just got back from my vacation to Maryland for spring break (visiting family). I was unpacking when I realized I had to pack all over again because on thursday I'm going to Philidelphia with my chorus.
P.S. Congrats on the job! I'm glad it's something you wanted and not a silly time waster. I have to get my learner's permit before I start applying for some jobs of my own
