Hellsing is one of my favorite anime (Next to NGE...nothing can probably top that when it comes to me but thats just me)

Anyway It is currently out with 9 volumes of manga(volume ten isn't out yet but its currently on chapter 81, the US release is on the 7th or 8th volume) , 13 episodes of anime and 3 OVAs (The first one is already dubbed and the 3rd is out now it has thousands upon thousands of seeders)

Well anyway I recommend the OVA and the manga more than the anime but watch it if you want. I won't stop you.

Anyway here is a summary for those of you that have never seen or read it.

Personally, I dislike the fact that Alucard is like the ultimate godmodder but it doesn't ruin it for me.

Hellsing is mediocre at best, but I still love it to death. This has more to do with my respect for Kohta Hirano than for any particular narrative wonder that Hellsing embodies; Alucard is too ungodly powerful for there to be any real 'conflict' lasting more than a few chapters, but Hirano is making the manga to be exactly what he wants (and knows what his fans want): a rampant, bloody action manga with an indestructably bad ass hero.

It's Seras (At least in the American Dub).

Anyways, Hellsing's a pretty good series in my opinion. The Manga's storyline is better than the Anime's storyline, in my opinion, though I have yet to watch the OVAs.

The OVAs closely follow the manga story line

Its like a high quality animated comic book, hell it looks like a comic book in my opinion.

I must agree, Alucard was way to powerful. However i did find the story somewhat unique and the fight scenes to be really good. Lots of blood though...but still if it's got vampires, zombies and Nazi's in it, I would assume it would have blood in it.

Yeah, despite the over-rated ness that is Alucard and being "ungodly" powerful, it i still an enoyable manga. *grin* I was personally a Mr. Anderson fan. *nods*

Seras is the only main charcter female that I tolerated for once. not to mention Integra being there made it so much better.... I wanna be her bitch!!! *clings at Integra's leg until kicked away* D=

I've yet to see the anime, but I have the animanga and have read a few of the riginal mangas.
It is awesome.

I don't know whether Van Winkle appears in the anime, but she is my favorite character. She is so adorable!!

In the original Hellsing TV anime, none of the Millennium crew appears at all. Even Rip van Winkle. She should be appearing in the new OVA though, sometime in the future.

I read Hellsing purely because of the way the characters interact. Alucard is too powerful to be right, but his attitude more than makes up for it (for some reason, he makes me laugh).

A series like Hellsing doesn't need a good story when it has an invincible badass blowing the crap out of Nazi vampires. :enguard:

And we still have at least one more book to go anyway, according to the author, so who knows? Maybe Alucard really will meet his match.

Hellsing's one of my top favorite anime/manga series. I'll admit that I never thought I'd get into something so brutal, but damn... It's just awesome. Also, I agree with whoever said Rip was their favorite character. It's going to kill me to wait for her to make an appearance in the OVA. They'd better give her a good voice actress.

I've only watched the English dubbed anime and it was pretty cool. There was never a dull moment, not with Alucard kicking the holy crap out every vampire/"vampire", and Father Anderson was a fucking beast! There was never a dull moment when he and Alucard went at it. Hell, I pretty much loved every main character, which is saying something.

Man, I really enjoyed what I read of Hellsing. Alucard's not even a fair fighter in the slightest, and I don't care! He kicked the shit out of people, and it was awesome... But it was generally a very interesting series with some kickass art.

This series started good CS times with my buddies. The "Killer 4" was what we rolled as, with Seras Victoria strictly awping and Hellsing strictly deagling.

I liked the animu at first, but then I realized it sucks compared to the Godly Manga and OVA. Alucard beating the shit out of those cops was awesome.
