Well yeah, but Kristoph was floored by the fact that Payne had actually done something intelligent. Apollo hasn't known him long enough to be so stunned.
But really, I just wanted to have Apollo do something awesome, and the only way for that to happen is if Kristoph missed it. Don't worry, though, Kristoph steals the baton again soon enough.
Anyway, i'm surprised this is being received as well as it is. The entire concept for this case was thought up in about two hours, and released on a whim. It's also, to my knowledge, the only sprite comic to update daily, so I have little time to think things through. I should probably point out that the whole daily update thing may stop when I get to my second case, as I have little more than a concept at present for that case. Still, i'll try. And I may just have another caffeine-fuelled epiffany like for this case! (which may be in order, considering there's only a few pages left of this case...)

I knew someone would fall for that. I was kinda dissapointed when I heard Bad Player explain what he thought you meant.
In all truth, I had considered making him the Dahlia/Kristoph/DL-6 of this sprite comic, for a while there at least. but the ending I have in store for this makes more sense.

In all seriousness though, things are going to get back on track immediately. Also, inspiration has struck for the linearity of the series, and it has struck HARD. I've more or less got the entire second case complete now. Anyway, i'll try to make a double update to make up for the fillers.
