People honestly question that? I mean, sure, I watch a ton of action movies, but even then, it really should have been common knowledge...

Still leaves the question about the coat, but hey, at least we finally figure out what's going on in Kristoph's head.

Oh, and if you're gonna say what you think it is, use a spoiler tag, in case it's actually right.

Spoiler: motive

I mean, with all those stupid things he did there's no way it could be premeditated~

Hey, if I can just make a suggestion for the future?

Personally, I think it'd be pretty cool if Apollo winds up as the defendant for a case further down the line, but hey, not my comic.

Spoiler:
He misheard him when he was referring to his mother's grave, thinking he said it was his grave, hence the opening scene. Ergo, he was acting in self-defense. The item in the coat pocket was a hearing aid.

Daww, crap. I should have double updated so you wouldn't all guess it before it happened. Oh well, i'll try to include something you don't know in tommorrow's comic.

EDIT: You know what? I'm gonna try and cram in as much as I can in this next update.

It's over. I've uploaded the last four comics of "The Grave Turnabout". It's done.

So, now I guess you'll be anxious about the next case? Well, it's more or less scripted. But i'm no longer commited to uploading daily. Still, I probably will anyway, it's just that you now have no excuse to complain if I don't meet a deadline.

Anyway,

Although I should state for the record that the next couple of updates (or just update, depends...) will be those arbitrary sillies that everyone puts at the end of their sprite comics.

Frankly, i'm still waiting for someone to provide me with the rip I asked for in the sprites section. I can't really start the case without it.

One of my favourite sprite comics so far. The plot, execution and dialogue are all great. I was hooked and couldn't wait for the next update. The only problem is the custom graphics (some of them don't look neat enough, especially Apollo's courtroom sprite), but other than that, it's brilliant. Keep up the good job =)

It sure did! Now I can actually make the opening bubble for the next case!

Anyway, the case will probably begin on the 11th. I'll post a couple of sillies tommorrow.

Thanks! I've noticed that, with many sprite comics, the characters totally fail to stick out. I actaully thought the same when it came to Simon Taylor. So I made a concious effort to make Cale have some kind of personality. I also threw in moments when all of the existing characters would fit into their roles. Although i'm not sure I played to the Judge's personality very well. Oh well. There's always "A Lesson In Turnabout" to get it right!

Kid is stupid.
Kid is arrested for murder.
Kid is saved from being arrested for murder.
Kid works for savior.
Kid becomes a lawyer.
Savior is killed (figuratively and/or literally)
Kid (re)kills savior (or his/her lover)
The End

Congratulations, you now know Gyakuten Saiban! :keiko:

(Although I must say the comic sure does get a lot more boring when you know what's coming next =\ Can't wait to see the part about "his shadow" tho! Adding backstory to character is always great if done right. I assume you'll also talk about Kristoph's transition into... you know... since he doesn't really seem that way now... (the whole "The law isn't absolute, but I try my best to enforce it!"))

I'm afraid I lied to you all. You see, I said I was gonna do a couple of sillies today. Instead, I did one silly and began case 2, A Lesson In Turnabout!

Anyway, my graphic sucks, and before anyone asks what's with the writing on the silly, paint.net cannot rotate text for shit.

No, it isn't. This is in 2023. Although this next case is a flashback to 2021. Anyway, you can't be truly crazy all the time just cause you killed someone once.

I'm interested in how Apollo will be characterized here...

Yeah, i'm gonna have to keep that in mind. Although unlike Phoenix in Turnabout Memories, I want it to be recognisably the same person.
