This was my favorite Disney movie. It had a great plotline, interesting characters, and beautiful design work. I don't like Disney that much. Probably the only ones I liked where Atlantis, Tarzan, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Simbad.

I've really wanted to watch that movie from beginning to end. I've seen parts, but not the entire thing. From what I saw, that movie was just beautiful.

Some Disney movies are fun to rewatch later when you're older. You catch a lot of things that you didn't before. The old Disney animated films did great with making them fun for kids, but still have nice, deep story lines and characters so they're enjoyable for adults as well. Personally, my favorites are Aladdin, Treasure Planet, and Hercules. Huge fan of those movies.

Sinbad wasn't a Disney movie. That one was Dream Works.

Ah, Atlantis. I'm one of the few nerds who actually enjoyed that movie, despite the fact that the story supposedly taking place in 1915 doesn't tie in with the featured technology and concepts portrayed in said film. Crystal-powered stone fish that can fire lasers? Whoa.

The plot was pretty good, what with the Shepherd's Journal, the multilingual people of Atlantis, the cool-looking monsters, mainstream animé-like feel and all that jazz, but my main problem with it is the timeline. Again, the technology, information, and other stuff just doesn't fit in. Even if it's a work of fiction, some stuff has to parallel that of the real world.

Still, at least it's better than the poorly budgeted "sequel", which featured A VIKING OVERLORD AND A NAVAJO SHAMAN. The original Atlantis = Good. The Sequel = BAD.

Oh my goodness, did I ever love Atlantis. I used to pop in the movie at least once a week, if only to watch certain parts. I loved the fight near the end of the movie, where Rourke grabs Milo by the neck and goes to chop him with an axe or something just as frightening, and Milo quickly slices him with part of the crystal. EPIC.

I didn't really understand why the Atlantian people couldn't read their own language, though. They could speak a boatload of languages, but couldn't read? I dunno, just seems kinda weird.

Atlantis was a really good movie. The animation was fantastic and the art was incredible. I can't put my thoughts of this movie into words right now but I may later.

Also, completely unrelated to this topic is the awesome that is Treasure Planet. That is all I have to say.

I like Mulan. In fact, the only Disney movie I can safely say that I don't like that I have:

1) Watched
2) Is not a sequel

Is the Little Mermaid.
