The basis of the game was succeeded though hero's occupation changed from the lawyer into the prosecutor.
The new elements such as information reproduction modes are attractive.
Of course there is the hot story to uncover contradiction only by the Gyakuten series.
It is pleasant that I refute the testimony of the criminal with evidence.

Direction is splendid.
Timing of message and the sound effects enliven the game.
Even if Mitsurugi becomes a hero, the sense to play does not change very much.
Being possible to confront it in the scene of the crime was different from Gyakuten Saiban, and I was interesting.

"Gyakuten" is still a key word in the scenario though the stage of the game shifted from court to the scene of the crime.
I thought that story development was forcible. In addition, I thought that the impression of the people who appeared for Gyakuten Saiban series was too strong.
I was surprised by a splendid device.
Mini characters and the screens of the conversation with the sense of reality, new elements go well.

There is not the outstanding evolution, but Gyakuten series is interesting.
Direction is exquisiteness.
When the logic mode and inference succeed, I am refreshing.
Fans of the series have nice events.
It is easy to play narrowness of the investigation range just well.
There are forcible inference and development. However, it may be said that these are qualities of Gyakuten series.

I was about to post this, actually. Furthermore, the Game Index for the issue states that it has pages 150 and 238. I assume 238 is the review, but I'm not sure if 150 is new info or just recap.

(Well, looking at post times, if by "about to" I mean an hour later... :beta-phoenix:)

34/40 is pretty good. A little lower than GS4 (36/40) but still pretty good.

34/40 is a very good sign not many games can say they have that specially ones that have as much dialect and ace attorney i guess that's what makes it such a great series way to go ace investigations whoop! I can't wait to play it hopefully this will cure some peoples fears about this game

TLDR version (also I don't know Japanese at all, so this is just a simplification or rewording of Japanesegirl's translation)

Pros.
The game is good story-wise.
The game stays true to the series despite the perspective change.
New innovations such as Logic mode work well.
Good presentation, mini-sprites and bigger sprites work well.

Cons.
Too many old-series characters. (? or too much emphasis on them?)
Not really the evolution that the game would have you believe it is.

All in all I'm still looking forward to it. Famitsu's review scores are often fairly misleading or odd though, so we'll see when the game comes out.

Here are the scans of the GK section. It's mostly an interview a la Nintendo Dream.

A personal translation for any who want :edgy:

Spoiler: Famitsu Review Translations
Penki Yamamoto 9/10
Even though the game has changed from the lawyer's role to the prosecutor's, the game itself stays true to the series. The new modes such as the crime scene recreation mode are a great highlight to the game, and as always trying to find the contradicitons and truly make it a 'turnabout' is as exiting as ever. Finding the correct evidence to crumble a testimony is also just as fun as the previous games.

Uwaaman 9/10
The production of the series is spectacular. The smart timing of messages and clever use of sound effects, among other small details throughout the game truly bring life to the game. The main character has been switched to Edgeworth now, but overall the game feels very similar to it's predeccessor. I enjoyed the fact that the main confrontation now revolved around the crime scene, as it gave the game a fresh feeling.

Takami 8/10
The stage has moved from the courtroom to the crime scene, but the spirit of Ace Attorney is still alive. I personally thought that the setting was overbearing at times, and that the older characters all left too strong of an impression. All the new elements to the game, such as the new character sprites system and the more personal conversations between the characters was pulled off very successfully.

Meruhen Sudou 8/10
Whist the game has not evolved much from the past, it is definitely still the Ace Attorney series. The production is incredible, and the suspence in the game miraculous. Getting yourself involved in figuring out how to link the logic is a nice refreshing change in the series. It was definitely a game meant to please fans of the series as well, with many elements clearly aimed at making the fans smile. Also, the area in which a single investigation takes place is not too large, allowing for easier gameplay. As with all the previous games, there are many plot developments and a lot of suspence.
