Nick felt butterflies again. He bi on his mouth guard and poseda fighting stance. He focussed his eyes, and let go off such a tight grip. He stepped forward, and so did his opponent. He hasn't fought anyone since his transition from amateur. This is going to be fun.

What is this? A staring contest? As it pains Nick so much, being n In-Boxer would mean getting close, getting close equals, punching first. Nick jabbed with his left twice, and with with his right. No good, Nick ended up getting hit... Twice! A fearsome opponent... Now he needs to wait for move she makes!

Josephine blocked the first and second jabs, then ducked under the last one, jab-crossing him in the stomach. ((That was just elaborating how and where he got hit.)) As he bent down, she leapfrogged over him, lightly punching him in the back.

She jumped over him, while he was looking for an opportunity. Hmm, tricky customer he thought. He kept jabbing with his left again, right covering his profile. Then, when the left started to get blocked, he started to the right. He was trying to keep her busy, so she couldn't try anything at all.

Hm...He's catching on quicker than most... Josephine thought as she blocked Nick's attacks. First left, then right. He's trying not to give me a chance. And boy can he keep me busy. She quickly blocked, lifting his fist above her head. Then, she slid under him. When he turned around, he got a fist to the face.

Josephine leaned back, barely avoiding the uppercut.
"Woah! Talk about a close call," she said through her mouth gear. If I didn't see it at all... She tried bouncing back with some more punches, alternating her hands often. He would have to have really good skills to block her flurry of fists.

The bag rumbled violently on its hinge, and John stopped it before it was damaged. Not bad... Not bad at all. That training came in handy after all, he thought, with a sense of pride.

He took a glance at the ring, with two fighters sparring. Josephine, and some other kid. He shrugged and started working out, some pushups and weight lifting to start.

Nick went peek-a-boo, it was the only way to avoid taking hits. Defence would be most important, specially if she's gunning him down. But he can't take every punch by his fist, it would eventually break. Nick backed away to slow the pace, great, the punching stopped. He went back to his normal stance and threw a jab...

((Man, gotta regulate a fight system, even a spar like this would take a long time for a victor... Any ideas?))

Josephine was pretty sure she would lose. She could hit the man several times before he went down, but she could only take one or two hits from him. She ducked under his attack and tried popping back up with an uppercut. Josephine figured he would expect that, but it was an easy way to get him to go back farther, at least...

Jab right, right, left! Dodges persistantly... Then she stepped back!

Nick had no option left but stepforward, he was an in-fighter, he hasn't trained for long ranged punches. So he stepped in slowly, peek-a-boo stance. Waiting to get a reaction.

((Hmm, there could be a very complex post system, like in each post you can do three things, you can punch 3 times or block 3 times, maybe even punch once, block twice. And if your opponent breaks the rule, the other person can have 4 turns. Also, an HP system would incorporate to the training, and stats for the roster.))

Josephine knew a regular jab wouldn't break his blocking, so she went for a left hook-punch. Then, a right hook punch. She finished the combo with a punch to the stomach.

((Yeah, like that, but the enemy could block all three, but then be open for the next turn. Or block 2, throw one punch, we'll see what Cinder thinks.))

H-Hook!? Nick never expected a hook, 2 to be precise!

He managed to duck the first one, but the second came on him like a mallet. Then, a punch to a stomach.
He jabbed once, then followed with a hook.

HP: 85 ((Let's just say that the direct hook is -5, and the stomach blow was -10))

((What if everyone starts with 100 HP for each match. We can also have an upgrade rule, like, you can upgrade your skills after each match as training, every win gets you 3 points for upgrade, loser gets 1, sparring each rewards 1 win or lose because its practice. Seems complicated, but it can work...))

Josephine was ready for the jab, but not prepared for a hook. She managed to duck under it in the nick of time, but she realized that this guy was learning quickly how to take her down. She came back up with an uppercut.

Nick was too leaned in for an evasion. Uppercut, a helluva uppercut. Almost in direct chin contact. It rattled him, he turned back and shook his head. But he had to continue. He gazed, she was still open for an attack due to the uppercut, he took a chance to throw two hooks, left hand. And one straight, right.

((Hmm, again with those stats, if the accuracy is maxed out, then uppercuts would hit directly, and it woulda one hit KO. Also with rounds... What about 10 posts per round, 5 for each player.))

((Hmm, wll te fight system would be easy enough. The statsforthe roster though, there has to be a templat for each boxer style. Like, an In-fighter would have more stamina, strength and rflexes, but weak accuracy, long range punching and footing. But an Out-Fighter would be more skilled in long-range punches, accuracy, reflexes, footing and speed, but weaker stamina and strength. Then winning or losing matches, training and sparring would earn points to add to some of these attributes. But you're the admin of this RP, so it's your pick))

((Sounds like a video game. XD, but I like the rounds idea. It'll really shorten up the fights.))
She took the three attacks, disoriented from being hit so hard in the head. She fell over after the jab, and lied there for a few seconds, clearing her head. Then, she got back up, and did a jab-cross with a hook to follow. ((I'm assuming a jab-cross would count as two attacks.))
HP: 50
((Her defense is pretty bad. I'm thinking he has more strength than she does as well. Therefore, it was -20 for the two hooks, (-10 for each) -30 for the jab (Which would be -15 if she got him with one.) Does that sound right to you?))

Nick witnessed the first K.O. of the bout, he was worried he overdid it. His head was still dizzy, but he waited for her to get up. As soon as she did, Nick was hit with two jabs, but managed to deflect a hook. Still dizzy from the jabs, Nick clinched to prevent any other attack.

65HP -20 for two jabs.

((Let's experiment with some other moves, like clinching, it would take two of your goes, but takes one turn from your opponent, what do you guys think? Oh and how many turns until the spar is over? Also, the health will be very hard to get down even if the opponent has low HP, they'd get all defensive. So what if you have 30HP or less, you can only have 2 moves in a turn.))

She entered the local gym,her 'training' wear on.Her hair tied back in a ponytail,barefooted,black jogging shorts,and a tank top on.She had only been in the gym a couple times before.She was afraid the rest of the boxing community wouldn't accept her,due to her.....Rich background.

It seemed a spar was going on.She watched on,amazed and afraid at the same time.
