I don't know if this is improved at all... I couldn't get the eyes quite right.
Her sprite jumps around alot. She also has some large pixelation under her chin. Are you worried about the eye sequence or shape? the shape is fine to me :) I can't tell if the sequence is ok cause it jumps alot ^^; Um... cue uneducated opinion XD

I meant her sprite moves from left to right or something- it didn't look like she was meant to do it ^^; The pixelation is on her collar bone area. Maybe it needs the shading simplified, but it looks a bit busy to me. I'm being a little nit picky though ^^;

I mean of course in theory you couldn't see it due to her arm being down on her side. I suppose you'd see it if she lifted it up to look into it.

I like the addition to the neck item, makes it more than a simple choker. As for the book, that's up to you, though I don't know how that would work...
As for her being taller, that would be perfectly fine. ^__^ She needs to be an imposing figure, since she doesn't have the whip advantage Franziska does.

Most people I've showed this to like the lighter version for aging. Maybe a/some gray streak(s) or graying might make her look scarier, idk.
EDIT:
A couple of suggestions from a couple friends of mine:
This is from the update before the current one:
The bottom portion of the dress seems very 2-dimensional compared to the rest, and the left shoulder has a stiff look to it, like that shoulder is square and her right shoulder is rounded. You'd probably want to choose between square and rounded shoulders so they can look a bit mor even, Geno. Judging by what you said I assume any possible discrepencies in proportion have not been looked at yet, so I won't bug you about that. (But how does she wear a choker over a shirt, Geno?)
Otherwise, I quite like the designs. Personally I think the darker hair looks bettwe with the outfit she's wearing, though the lighter hair is more realistic to her age...The gem on the choker looks very nice however, and the boobs look a lot more normal now.

Friend (7:08:59 PM): The lace shouldn't be that straight. It makes her look 2D.

Friend (7:09:11 PM): Should bend a little along her bodice.
Friend (7:09:29 PM): And the shading on that thing should have a little middle ground too
Friend (7:09:38 PM): You see how there's three blues with her sweater thing
Friend (7:09:44 PM): And the black only has 2 shades
Friend (7:09:52 PM): Inccreasing to 3 would improve more than you think

Friend (7:10:07 PM): The hand is awkward. Can't really clarify on that one though.

Something off about one of her breasts too. I think the one near her elbow is too high up and perky. Gravity and stuff, lol.
Btw, here's an overdue detective update:
Still a WIP, 'cause I feel like I can't get his cape right. I tried doing the vertical lines thing, but I'm not sure about the results. He's starting to look like a fighter jet to me.

He looks very nice thus far! But (if at all possible) try to give his expression a little more of a smug sense of satisfaction, since the majority of this sprite's usage will be when Det. Simons' has something that'll tick off Ami.

Still looks a lot like Kane Bullard. Also: could you make him shorter and fatter? And the nose really needs to be bulbier. Think Mario or Omar from Pikmin big.

...needs a lot of work...what I see here is bullards head stuck on gants body with a few changes that have no lines (and the hat isnt properly shaded and black lines) :P
Suggestions:
1.probably shouldn't use gants body since its neither fat nor a cheap suit (that parts just opinnion)
maybe grossbergs instead with abit of modifacation
2.change features on bullards head this should allow for a more unique look
3.the white shirt is missing its lines place those in...also add lines at the borders of the suit and tie
4.id suggest editing greymeyers hat to make it since that would be easiest
I apologize if i sound rude I hope you improve your skills...and if you need me to show you a few things you can do to improve id be happy to help
