I just see it in Iris's character to be a nice mommy. Have her look after Trucy while Phoenix was on his "secret investigation". Gives them time to bond now that I think about it.

On another note, I'm against the Iris mafia thing. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and if people wish to be insulting about it, then I'd rather just ignore them. If reason doesn't work in easing the conflict, then there is very little that can be done and I'd rather not sink to their level. I may not be happy about some of the stuff I've been seeing recently, but I'd rather not stir up more trouble or ill feelings.
If I missed addressing anything or anyone, then I apologize in advance. Just let me know and I'll correct my mistake.

@ JasmineJustice- Ack! I knew that I was going to miss someone in my last post! Half asleep is not a good time to post anything. -_- I'm so sorry! Anyway, I read it and liked it. ^_^ Nice work!
@ Platinum Skye- I kind of assumed that not every chapter would have a heavy romance feature to it actually. In longer stories, unless they're intended to be purely romance fics, which does not appear to be your intent from what I can see, the romance has to take a back seat at times to develop the plot (hell, sometimes that has to happen even in stories are solely intended as romance). Yours looks like an intriguing mix of crime, drama, and romance. I look forward to it. :)
As for my future plans, I currently have a nasty writer's block going, although the proposal talk that came up here earlier has triggered plot bunnies... I might write something if the bunnies can hop over the stupid wall. Then maybe I can finally finish some of the fics I've been planning to do. I promised some people an Apollo/Vera oneshot ages ago and... I can't make it work. I just can't. It's frustrating. -_-

Alright on to more productive topics. Proposals are fun.
(This isn't just a short description because I got way to into this so I've basically outlined the whole night and everyone's reactions. -_-)
So... I see Phoenix inviting Iris over for a lovely dinner which he cooked himself (in my fantasies, he burns it, much to his horror and embarrassment, but Iris starts to eat it and tells him that it's wonderful. He then smiles and kisses her. She blushes bright red at his kiss, but can't stop smiling after that... My mind is a very strange place. Ignore me. :P). Trucy may or not be around. More likely not considering the fact that she's no longer a small child and it would be easy to explain to her why she couldn't be there, but there is also a charm that I quite like in having a family meal before they "officially" become a family. After dinner, they go for a long walk (If Trucy was around for dinner, then she opts to remain behind, knowing full well what Phoenix plans even though Iris is still clueless about his intentions). It's a full moon that night and they stop in a nearby park to admire it. Right before they leave, Phoenix takes Iris hand and drops to one knee. He pulls out the ring and makes a short speech about how he has never known another like her and how he wants to spend every last second of his life with her (Corny? Yes. I can't help it. I'm really sappy -_-). Iris is so choked up with emotion that she can't speak for a couple seconds and Phoenix starts to worry, but then Iris chimes in with a tearful yes. Phoenix stand up and pulls her close. They kiss and then they head back home, holding hands the whole way, to tell Trucy the good news... and do other things that I won't discuss here. <_<
... So, it's stupid. As mentioned, my mind is a weird place. :P
