My favs are America and Germany! America is just so silly and he's really cute. Germany was/is one of my favorite countries [before I watched Hetalia] so seeing him just made me squee. I like how he's kinda socially awkward too. x3
Pairing wise...? I like GermanyxAmerica [just a huge shock there xD] US/Canada, US/UK, etc~ its all so shippable.
The cleaning out the closet teasers in the anime looked really interesting! So thats just a side story in the comic strip? I'll really have to start reading it...

Oh, question/discussion topic: One of the most popular fan-theories out there is that HRE = Germany. Most believe this has been confirmed by the Buon San Valentino strip, but some still aren't so sure, mostly due to some pretty messy historical reasons.
I think HRE is a young Germany. I tried researching the history of the Holy Roman Empire and of Germany, and I could see where Himaruya (author) would say "HRE grows up to be Germany." (Granted, I could also see where that wouldn't be the case, buuuuuttt....)
There was also this whole thing about Himaruya giving the Nation-tans human names, and Germany (Ludwig) was the only character who received a name that didn't get a last name as well. He said there was a reason for this...but the human names were soon removed from canon, so the reason was never disclosed. I think the "no last name" thing might also have something to do with HRE (who is not given a name at all).
SO. Your thoughts?
