Lana walked briskly into the double doors, and showed her ID without a word. She walked to the Information desk. "Gilder III, Arxane. Room?"

The receptionist stared blankly back at Ms. Skye. "Uh...oh! Ok." She tapped away at the keyboard. "This floor...Room 12."

"Thank you." She kept walking a few yards away, until she arrived at the room, and walked in. She saw Arxane, in a bed, asleep.

Arxane lie asleep in his hospital bed. He wore a bandage around his head and had a black eye. Whoever got him had got him good. He awoke suddenly to the sound of people nearby. In a panic his eyes shot open. He sat up very quickly and reached for where his guns would have been had he been wearing them at the time.

"Get away from me!" He yelled loudly. "What!? Where the hell am I!?" He was suddenly struck by a piercing pain in his ribcage. He had sat up too fast. "Somebody had better explain this in the next five seconds!"

Power had decided to use the excuse of a visit to the hospital to see Carla. Telling Lana, that he'd be up to Arxane in a few, and just after finding out what room Arxane was in, he set off to the hospital shop and bought a big box of Black Magic chocolates, and set off for Carla's room.

Carla was sitting on her bed reading a woman's magazine, immersed in the latest celeb rumour. She didn't even notice Power till he plonked down in the chair beside her.

"Woah! Darz, you frightened me."

Power laughed. "Sorry bout that Carla, thought I'd pop in. I'm here visiting a friend." He pulled the box of chocolates out of his bag and handed them to Carla.

Next to Arxane, there was a curtain, behind it lay Cheryl Blossom. She was propped up on the bed, drinking coffee and fliping through a magazine. Her back ached, and her hair was up in a ponytail. The doctors had forced her to lay on her stomach so the scars from Ms. Vasquez's shoe could heal. Her hospital gown was pink. At her feet lay a pink kimono. Cheryl wore a different kimono each month. This month's color was pink. She had hoped to see someone, however nobody had come to see her. She did not know Lana and Kirby were nearby.

"It's really not about the coat," Arxane said. "See, I've been working on the case against that Sage guy, remember? Yeah, Stalker McNolife I like to call him. Anyway, I filled out all the paperwork about that, but I also filled out a second set of paperwork, just in case something happened and I lost the original. I'm pretty sure I had the original at the time, but now it doesn't seem to be around."

Arxane drank from a cup of water next to the bed.

"I keep one of my spare ammo clips in a pocket of my coat. I cracked the clip open, hollowed it out,l and stuck the papers in there. I really need those papers, so that's why I asked about the coat."
