do you drink? to what extent? what do you like to drink?

i really like soda and i love all manner of drinks. mixed sodas are good but i am really all about sprite, as well as

Image

which is my absolute favorite drink ever.

i drink a good amount, i think, which is basically indicated by how fat i am. i am a serious lightweight and i don't usually need much more than a drink or two to keep me well awake for the rest of the evening. i almost never get hopping off the wall hyper, or hyper to the point where i forget what's happening or what i'm doing, but it can happen. the last time it did i had a combo of two dr peppers, half of a pepsi max and a swig of someone's cherry coke + cherry dr pepper combo.

I JUST LIKE SODA

Which soda I drink depends on what I'm craving. Nowadays it's been Sprite or 7-up. Though, one can a day is enough for me.

I don't really drink too much soda, but if I'm in the mood, can't go wrong with Root Beer. Best soft drink ever. Other honorable mentions are Big Red and Dr. Pepper. I'll drink Sprite only when I'm sick.

I do not drink much of it myself really. If I have to drink one it is generally Dr Pepper, Fanta, Tango or D&B. Cola(s) are like syrup to my taste, it is not even nice syrup like the maple type.

Which is funny, as generally I am a stimulant bomb ready to explode.

I just can't see a Sprite ad without wanting to drink one.
It's an obsession, I guess.

Not 7-up, tho. I like it, but doesn't tempt me as much.

I also prefer Sprite a hundred times over Coke. Too fizzy, meh.

Also, I never tasted most sodas you're listing here. Coca-Cola monopolized Latin America, it seems.

Pop. What is this "pop"? I do not believe I know this word. This is the SODA topic.

Dr. Pepper's taste is hard to describe. It really isn't comparable to anything else. It's something you have to try.

If soda is the same as cola, then I used to drink it.

But it's been so long since I last had Coca Cola that I literally hate the stuff now.

Cola is a type of Soda. From what I gather, Colas are usually the ones that are brownish in color, there are other indicating factors, but that's the only one I really know.

Oh yeah.

Cheerwine is awesome, though I'm not really sure about its availability outside of North Carolina and Virginia.

My favorite soda right now is Melon flavored Jones Soda. I could drink that stuff all day if I could get my hands on it. Most of the Jones Soda flavors are good as well, but Melon is especially good.

I also love Dr Pepper on occasion. It's made in Texas and it's available in most restaurants. My favorite Dr Pepper is what we call Dublin Dr Pepper. It's the version made with Imperial Sugar (Not High Fructose Corn Syrup) and it is widely available in towns near Dublin, Texas. You can also find it in many local game stores that sell beverages. It's flavor is hard to describe compared to regular Dr Pepper, but I want to say it has less bite to it. I guess I should venture to my local game store so I can grab a bottle and test it again properly (and while I'm there I'll grab some Jones Soda too).

I don't drink.... soda really. I don't like fizzy drinks because I'm scared of my teeth falling out. I'm so lame. I sometimes get a can of Sprite when I get pizza though.

I remember once in my old job, someone spilt coke on a keyboard and the keys kept sticking, I took the keys out and it was just a gross gooey mess, that put me off coke for life.

I prefer water because it's as boring as I am <3

Fav's have always been Dr. Pepper and Mr. Pibb (i recently discovered Dr. Pepper with some Mountain Dew mixed in tastes great). Cola and lemon/lime come after that. I've been trying to cut down on it though.

No soda topic would be complete without some chatter about Faygo. :moe:
A long time ago the local Dollar General got some orange and cola Faygo in and i tried it. Not bad.

Wow it's neat learning about the beverage's around the world I guess the beverages are just as different as the food from different places. I want to try cheerwine now 8D

I usually like foreign soda's more than american ones my favorite would be strawberry ramene but i also like that mexican frutty soda and cream soda. I'm not a huge soda drinker cause i don't like most sodas and my mom thinks the world will come to an end if we have soda in are fridge so i usually just drink tea which is good to.

We're in the same boat. That's why I say Coca-Cola monopolized this region, we only get stuff like Sprite and Pepsi. Maybe some others, but most are made in Argentina, so no export sodas here.

Now I feel like I should try Dr. Pepper at least once. It must be good, seeing as it's everybody's favourite.

Dr Pepper's taste is hard to describe. It's not like Pepsi or Coke in flavor but they have the same color. If you have Coke products in your region the closest thing to Dr Pepper's Taste is Mr. Pibb/Pibb Xtra. I think Pibb has a stronger flavor than Dr Pepper and I think it's a bit more syrupy.

If anyone else has some info to help the Dr Pepper-less of this forum, by all means, post away!

I just finished a bottle of Dublin Dr Pepper. I was correct in my memory that it has less bite and is a bit sweeter than its corn syrup counterpart. The less bite could have come from the fact that I drank it from a glass bottle which aren't really known for their awesome carbonation containing properties.

WTH, Germany? I guess it's good that Coca Cola products of all types haven't saturated the world markets!

Other than mailing you a six pack of the stuff, I don't know what to tell you.

Dr Pepper syrup is heavy tasting to me. At least more so than either Coke or Pepsi. It's very sweet.

Even the wikipedia article is unhelpful in the matter of flavor.

I'm a Coke addict when it comes to soda/pop. I don't drink it all the time but if you ask anyone who knows me that's who they'd describe me ^^'. Pepsi or Sprite or lime-flavored stuff isn't bad in the absence of that though...

Never touched it since.

As for things I like, I don't know. Cola, Pepsi, Fanta, Sprite and so on are pretty good.

But I'm trying to cut back so I buy those half sized cans. But then sometimes I drink two, so I guess it's ineffective.

Well, I say SODA! :gant:

And yes, Dr. Pepper FTW.

I also enjoy Cherry Coke, Sprite, and Barq's Root Beer.

I love hearing about the flavors people come up with, from the US and the rest of the world. And if not for the internet, I would never have known of the existence of bacon-flavored Diet Coke.

I used to say "pop" when I lived in Canada. ^_^;; But now I call it soda.

I've been trying to cut back on soda, and drink more water or Gatorade. But I usually end up buying a 2-liter of Dr. Pepper whenever I go to the grocery store. Cheerwine is okay, but I like Dr. Pepper better. (Or any of the Dr. Pepper rip-offs like Mr. Pibb.)

I also like to go buy Ramune whenever I go to the Asian Market. ^_^

I drink Big K a lot, mostly the Cola. I like Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper a lot but I haven't had it in a while. I'll also drink basically any brand Lemon Lime soda.

Soda's like the only drink my family buys, so we get the diet kind all the time. I don't see why everyone thinks diet tastes like crap, there's not much of a difference if you ask me.

I've never called it pop in my entire life and I have no intention to. It's always been soda for me.

EDIT: Reminded me by crouton's post, Ramune is amazing. 'specially melon flavored.
