As soon as they got into the ER, they looked around, finding Katrina on one of those wheeled beds, and Howl watching as the doctors and nurses rushed in, following Katrina to the OR. Then Rose said to Howl, "Our first priority is Katrina's condition, but I must ask, did you get a clear view of the person who shot Katrina?"

Howl smarted off. "Yeah, i was inside scrolling through yesterdays tapes, and just off a whim, I ran outside right as she got shot. No, I didnt. And nobody fled away, so either he was sniping, or he was able to blend in with the crowd..." Howl was piped on adrenaline, and completely scratched up and bleeding. "I knew I shoulda stayed with her... I knew he'd be there..." He sighed. He couldn't do anything about it now. "And now my bike is totaled... Along with me."

Sheila sighed, walking over to Howl and trying to lift him up.
"A little help please," she requested. "I can't carry him all by myself." She looked around. "Could someone get a doctor or nurse for me please? I wouldn't know where to move him."

Miles hesitated before moving Sheila out of the way. "Excuse me, Axiom." He lifted Howl easily and strode over to the reception desk. "Excuse me, there is someone in need here. Don't tell me you hadn't noticed us," he said sternly, taking full advantage of his reputation.

Sheila smiled at Blade and watched as the nurses scrambled to make accommodations for Howl. This is all my fault...
"I can't let him hurt anyone else," Sheila thought aloud. "But I can't go after him, either. Gah! This is so frustrating...I need some time to think. I should be back by the time Howl and Katrina wake up. In case I'm not, tell them I went to Gourd Lake to think. And please, don't follow me. I need to do this alone." She turned around and walked out of the hospital, walking over to Gourd Lake. When she got there, she stared at her reflection. I can't let him do anymore damage to anyone... She pulled out a gun from a holster on her leg, which her dress had concealed. I always carry this around as a constant reminder...Perhaps it's time I actually used it. She got up and walked away, heading toward the courthouse.

Suddenly, the doors crashed open against the walls. In came a shattered but orange Titan Exxplov.

"MILES EDGEWORTH!" he screamed, pointing at Edgey. "WHY THE **** DID YOU NOT TELL ME WHAT WAS HAPPENING!? ALL YOU DID WAS ACT AS IF IT WERE NOTHING!"

Satoshi then wet his pants. Literally.

"AND WHAT, IS THIS NOOBIE DOING HERE!? EVEN ON HOLIDAY, I LEARN ABOUT NEW PEOPLE. AND HERE HE IS, DRAGGED ALONG! WHAT THE ****!?" Titan screamed, not caring that he was in a hospital.

"Exxplov!" Rose shouted, unable to control her frustration at his behavior in a public hospital. "First of all, calm yourself. Edgeworth did not tell you the importance of this matter simply because we ourselves were hurrying to check the young assistant's condition, and for Blade, this is a chance to really see the dangers of actually becoming a prosecutor, whether hard or not. So now that all of the prosecutors who know the situation are present, it is vital that we wait patiently for news of the condition of Katrina and Howl."

Sheila walked into the courthouse, which was supposedly vacant. Except for the killer... She had her gun out, and used it to cut corners and everything. Waiting to find him.

Katrina flashed in and out of conciousness. She remembered breif snippets of things, her killer fleeing through the shadows, Howl screaming to get an ambulance. The motorcycle ride, the stretcher, it was uncomfortable, it was her longest moment of lucidity, they'd already numbed the pain and she was quickly descending back into unconciousness, but this time it was more peaceful, a pleasent sleep, she answered one or two questions, but her subjects she couldn't recall. She came to for a breif time as she exited surgery, she was escorted into a private room, and she had some reassuring words told to her. She quickly fell into a tired sleep.

Dr. Donovan Reeves was stressed, three damn injuries from one freaking person. He had gotten the report about sheila, that it was a minor graze that required two stitches and she was done with in about an hour and a half. Then this Katrina girl showed up on their doorstep with a battered old man. After two hours of surgery and his examination he checked on the older man, another hour filled with numerous X-Rays, stitches and grumpy retorts, he brought the group to Howl's room. He sat them down and told them what was what.

"After some thorough tests, we've determined some things, He has numerous sprains and pulled muscles, he had broken his left arm in three places, two of them were hairline fractures, one of them was slightly worse, but nothing too bad. He also had quite a few lacerations from his little tumble to protect the girl, he had plenty of stitches for those. The worst thing is he has some internal bleeding in his stomach area that we're going to keep him here for a few days to treat, but overall, he's very hardy and well kept for someone his age, I've seen less fit and healthy 25 year olds."

Now the girl is a different story, she was very lucky, the second shot dangerously missed vital organs, luckily only one bullet was lodged into her body, and it was the less dangerous one. We did some quick preliminary surgery, and all the immidiately life threatening wounds have been taken care of. But I've spoken with our Cheif of Surgery, and he says that she's going to have to go under the knife at least one more time before all the injuries have been taken care of. She's getting the preliminary treatment, the best suite in the entire hospital, requested by..." he quickly checked the note, "...well... she has friends in high places it seems. My nephew is a huge fan of the Gavinners. She's asleep now, but she should be coming to sometime soon, and we've gotten her on pain medication, so if anyone wishes to see her, I can have a nurse take you there. Her room is IC-426."

Rose nodded at the doctor's report. "Yes, she is a prosecutor, and we have many connections, locally and internationally, whether famous connections like Gavin, or not-so-famous connections. As long as their conditions are not fatal, and are under control, we will not worry. The others may visit, but I feel that I do not want to put any more strain on either of them. And might I express my gratitude on behalf of the Prosecutors' Office to you and the other doctors for handling the situation." With that, she sat on one of the guest benches to wait and see if the others would want to see Katrina. Then she remembered something that was very vital to make a case against the assaulter. "One more thing, Dr. Reeves. May we ask for the bullets from the three shots? They may be used as evidence in court, so it is of the utmost importnace that we receive them."

Reeves shrugged. "The only bullet we have in possesion is the one that remained lodged in her body, you'll have to check the scene of the crime for the other two I'm afraid. If you want the bullet we have, I'll need a signed affadavit faxed to us from the Cheif Prosecutor, the Investigative Team, or the Cheif Detective." Donovan enjoyed his position as Cheif Resident. Hell, he was cheif of staff for all the people here were concerned, he had better pay than the cheif, more respect, and more skill.

Sheila opened her eyes and saw the shadow crumpled to the ground. What happened? Did I just...? She walked toward him, and suddenly he pointed his gun up at her.
"If I'm going down, I'm taking you with me!" he shouted and he pulled the trigger.

Rose heard Edgeworth's phone ringing, and she checked to see if anyone was missing. "Hm, Satoshi, Edgeworth and Exxplov are here, Howl and Katrina are in their rooms...AAACK! Edgeworth, answer the phone! Sheila might be...!" she blurted out all of a sudden, after just realizing that the assaulter could still be after Sheila.

Titan listened to Thornebush, and calmed down.

"I'm sorry Thorney. It's just I was a bit annoyed," said Titan.

Then he listened to what the doctor had to say.

"Oh, good. I'd visit her, but after such an outburst, I'm lucky to still be here. I don't want to make her condition worse. Wait, did you say Shiela could be in dager? Darnit..."

Titan quickly ran out, and called for another taxi.

Satoshi then walked up to Rose.

"Um, Miss? I know this phone ringing business is important, but can I go visit this Katrina person?"

"Yes, Blade," Rose said huriedly, worried about Sheila's situation. "Even if this may be experience for you, we don't want to hurt you, seeing as you've only started. We can handle this on our own, so go along, and follow the good doctor to Katrina's room." Then, she waited, seeing as Edgeworth hasn't answered the phone yet and the people, including Titan, do not know the location of Sheila, even when she said she was heading out to Gourd Lake. For all they knew, the assaulter might have brought her to another place. But just then, she had an idea. "The assaulter always attacked at the front of the courthouse, so that's where we sould go!" she shouted, rushing to the door already.

Rose, not waiting for Edgeworth to come out, hailed a cab, saying, "The courthouse please, and step on it!" When she finally got there, she saw Sheila and the assaulter, both on the ground, passed out from the shots. The sniper was shot near the stomach, and Sheila in the thigh. She then concluded that Sheila was not such a good aim, and since the sniper was low, he only got a chance to aim at her thigh at highest. She could do nothing to help both of them at the moment, so she called the ambulance from the hospital, saying, "General Hospital, this is Prosecutor Thornebush. I need an ambulance for two people at the front of the courthouse, pronto! They have both been shot, one in the abdomen, and one in the thigh. Hurry!"

Miles stepped back into the hospital lobby, brushing his hands off, just to find half of his prosecutors missing again. Using his logic, he figured out where they'd gone and nearly swore, managing to keep his composure, just. "Make sure she is well looked after," he snapped at a nurse before running to his car and speeding towards the courthouse.

As soon as Edgeworth arrived on scene, Rose said, "No time for my apologies.Both Sheila and the sniper need immediate medical assistance. Help me carry them inside, Edgeworth, before their conditions worsen." Then they lifted them into the back seats and rushed back almost as immediately as they had come.

Upon arrival back at the hospital, Miles locked his car and carried the people into the lobby. "Yes, we're back," he said wryly to the shocked expressions, "But this is more important than speculation." He placed the wounded onto stretchers that people brought out hurriedly before collapsing onto one of the sofas, running a hand through his bangs with a sigh. "Here I was thinking the biggest worry was paperwork today."

"Actually, Mr. Edgeworth," Rose said at his comment, "your biggest worry will still be paperwork after the danger has surpassed. You know that from what I have learned over the years, the Chief Prosecutor wants paperwork for every single vital detail. I thought you would remember that, since you started your job at 20," she said with a small smile on her face. "But even so, at the moment, we have to face the truth that Sheila did, in fact, shoot the sniper, and that may carry just a few charges, since in fact it was for justified self-defense."

"Edgeworth..." Sheila grumbled, holding out her phone. "Pick up..." she mumbled, unaware of the fact that she was in the hospital. Or that Edgeworth was in the waiting room already and she was about to be operated on. She felt someone take her phone away, and she weakly protested.
"No. I gotta tell someone...What happened..." she mumbled weakly.
"Ma'am, do you have any idea where you are?" someone asked. Sheila opened her eyes to see faces of doctors and nurses over her and she could tell they were moving.
"Ugh...Definitely not in the courthouse anymore..." she joked. She smiled, then went back to sleep.

Howl moaned as he slowly woke. He knew he hit hard... but he couldn't remember what, when, and where. He looked around with fuzzy eyesight, unable to depict anything but colorful blobs. All he knew right now was... well, nothing. He tried to shift his weight up to better survey the area... which wasn't the best idea. "AAAAGGGHH!!" He immediately dropped back against his bed, cringing in pain. It felt like fire was in every nerve ending of his body.

"H-Howl?" Sheila asked, squirming and sitting up. "Are you alright?" What are the chances I'd be in the same room with him? She couldn't remember being operated on, but when she looked down at her thigh, she saw the stitches. Huh...How long was I out?

Howl was still clueless, but he knew the voice... and he could trust it. "Wh-where... am I? And why the hell am I i-in pain?!" He hated it when people saw him in he pain. He never flinched from it. He was always tough as steel... but this was something he couldn't control, and that bothered him. "And wh-why are you here?"

Motorcycle accident? "You mean my pride and joy? I WRECKED IT?!?" Howl was furious. "What the hell did I do with my motorbike to put myself in this place?! Sure I speed, pull insane stunts, and free road it sometimes, But I never get hurt! I don't flaw in anything I do..." He looked down, still with blurry sight. "And why does it feel like I'm looking through scratched and broken glass?" He was filled with questions. May it be of what he did, his ego, or what he felt... but he absolutely hated being unminded of his surroundings and occurrences.

Rose was still writing the information for the Chief Prosecutor, but then she remembered a remark from Dr. Reeves. She took out her cellphone and dialled Lana Skye's number. ((We don't have a Lana Skye yet. :sadshoe:
