It's soda. Pop is terrible music, not something you drink.

As for my favorite SODAS...
Pepsi(and all its past incarnations, even Pepsi Blue and Crystal Pepsi)
Mountain Dew and its various colors
root beer(especially fountain root beer from A&W)
7Up
Cherry Coke
Jones Soda
Mitsuya Cider
Calpis Soda

P.S.- An interesting bit of trivia, the Japanese HATE root beer. >;(

PROTIP: Only people southbound call it "pop".

So now that we have that little thing out of the way, I love soda. I really do.

But my number one right now is Vault Red Blitz. Also Dr. Pepper.

No, look around Wright and Co for a bit and maybe you'll get it. Maybe not. I dunno, you might be dense or something.

Also for the record, the two WORLD OF WARCRAFT Mountain Dews are awful. The red one especially. It tastes like carbonated cherry Kool Aid and it made me sick.

I can't stand the taste of Cheerwine. It is not even qualified to be called soda. Or pop. Or coke. It should be called "Carbonated Robitussin-and-Ass from a Hippo's Teat." Some truth in advertising, at least.

The only drink that is possibly even worse than Cheerwine is Sunny Delight, though that isn't soda. But even then, it'd be a close race.

Where I come from we just call everything Coke. You then have to specify which kind you want (Actual Coke, Dr Pepper, Pepsi, Sprite, etc.).

I usually order Ramune when we go the sushi place by our house. It's usually a toss up between Strawberry and Melon for me.

That's pretty much how it is here, too.

Personally, I don't drink too much soda nowadays, but when I do, it's usually Mountain Dew. Which is why I have to sneak my own in when I go to the movies, 'cause they stopped serving MD when they changed management.

Soda is great. I would drink it every single day if I was a bit less conscious about health.

Pickens--spot on about those WoW Mtn Dews. My friend drank a couple and they turned his lips and teeth blue too. When I finally drank one, I found myself spitting blue foam when I next brushed my teeth. Funny shit, but the soda didn't taste so great, so that's the end of that.

I like plain colas like Coke and Pepsi, I like orange and other fruit-flavored sodas--Splenda is excellent. I like Dr. Pepper, I like root beer. I like 'em all, pretty much. Which is why I would drink them every day :P The only kinds I've had that I can really say I don't like are grape-flavored soda and those WoW Mtn Dews, as well as Diet Mtn Dew. But the Diet Mtn Dew I drank many years ago and haven't had any since, so I don't know if my tastes changed. In general I almost never get any Mtn Dew though (or Sprite either), just because I prefer others that I mentioned.

I also really like strawberry-flavored soda. A lot of people have given me weird looks for that. I don't care though.

Back in eighth grade, I actually had a taste of the original Dr. Pepper before since I only live about a couple of hours from the city where it was first made. Our teacher brought it in for us and I must say that it was incredible. It's a wonder why they don't serve the original formula across America instead of the Dr. Pepper they serve in the markets. You thought Dr. Pepper was incredible, this drink was like Dr. Pepper giving you a taste of heaven and bliss and then having your taste palette roam in the ecstasy of the incredible flavors. What I wouldn't give to taste it again.

Are you lucky enough to live near enough to one of the towns that has the original Dr Pepper readily available?

The closest town to me that has them is Brenham, and that's still quite a drive away.

I think my teacher actually got it from Dublin, Texas. It used the original formula of cane sugar into the mix. Looking at the map, it is a bit further than I thought (more like a 4 hour drive XD), Brenham is actually closer to where I'm at as well. Still I have to say it was quite an experience. I wish I could have more opportunities to try it though, it's been so long.

I know the Dublin Dr Pepper very well (you can check my previous posts as evidence).

I've noticed a lot of gaming stores in my area have it for sale. Its usually like 2 dollars a bottle, but it's better than driving all over the state to find it.

Tonic water (or Indian tonic water) is a carbonated soft drink flavoured with quinine, which gives it a distinctively bitter taste.

tonic is really super gross, i've had it before and it's nasty

I had a feeling it was the cane sugar. We Americans totally get the shaft when it comes to soda taste, because the majority of our sodas are made with fructose rather than sucrose. I once tried a specialty root beer (pure cane sugar), and it was the equivalent of drinking liquid cotton candy. Totally awesome.

Sucralose sometimes makes it better for less calories, though. I remember when C2 Coke came out...I thought that stuff tasted better than Coca-Cola Classic.

I do wish they'd sell soda in those small glass bottles more often instead of in plastic, because anything in plastic just tastes like crap.

Dr.Pepper is disgusting imo :grey:. Another Soda I like is something we call "Päronsoda" in sweden. It's simply pear soda :P
