Howl jumped up a bit in his bed. "So my bike is totaled?!? Do you even know how LONG I've been customizing it, rebuilding frames, getting paint jobs... " Howl groaned. "Great... As if my condition wasnt enough to complain about." He huffed and looked to the side. "Speaking of, i think I'm suppossed to 'go under' either tonight or tomorow... by the looks of these marking on me. I'm no doctor... But it looks like a lobectromy"

Apperance: Franziska is actually short, but appears taller due to her heels. She has light bluish-grey hair and wears turquoise earrings. She dresses in a long black vest with a matching black mini-skirt. Under her vest is a long-sleeved white blouse with puffy sleeves and decorated cuffs. Her shoes are short, black boots with 4'' heels. She wears black, leather gloves and is never seen without her whip.

Bio: Born in Germany, Franziska was immediately thrown into a rigid, perfection-driven culture. It always expected the best from her, and so did her father. She grew up not knowing failure of any type. Tutored by her father, Franny became a prosecutor at the age of 13. She learned from the ''best'' when it came to winning, as her father, Manfred von Karma, had never lost a case. Once, when she began to question her father's tactics, he both verbally and physically slapped her down. She never dared mention it again.

Her father continued mentoring and somewhat supporting her until his demise in February of 2017. This was thanks to an attorney named Phoenix Wright. Mr. Wright had exposed her father's involvement in the DL-6 incident. She wasn't furious with the defense attorney over that matter, but rather what happened as a result of resurfacing the case; her beloved 'little brother' left a note, ''Miles Edgeworth chooses death''. For that, she could not forgive Wright. Ever.

Looked up to as a 'child prodigy', Franziska has no trouble commanding attention and demanding respect. Any defense attorney, save Phoenix Wright, whom appeared before her would quiver in fear and lose. Anyone whom even slightly challenged her would feel the wrath of her whip and the fury of her 'perfect' logic. She had not lost a case up until June of 2017, when she faced off against Phoenix Wright for the first time. The loss was devastating to her; she had never known the bitter taste of defeat and the public humiliation of having to leave the courtroom as a prosecutor too 'weak' to convict a defendant.

She suffered one more loss from Phoenix Wright in December of that same year. Then, in March 2018, her 'little brother', Miles Edgeworth came back from the 'dead'. Not only did Franziska not forgive Miles for what he did, she decided to leave the country, but not after getting shot in the right shoulder courtesy of one assassin. She left for Germany and decided never to come back. Never to face the two men whom caused her the most hardship she as a person had ever felt. It was a von Karma's duty to be perfect; to cary out a legacy of perfection. Phoenix Wright and Miles Edgeworth had ruined that for her, and for that she would not forgive.

However, after a call of complete desperation made by her little brother, Franziska did manage to make it back to the states. She took on a case that forced her to take on her little brother as defense attorney. Of course, it was her job not to expose that he was, in fact, a prosecutor. Franziska was curious for a bit what happened to the original defense attorney, Phoenix Wright, but decided to shrug it off; after all, she had made a promise to never forgive him. This obviously meant not caring whether he succeeded or failed; lived or died.

Now, one year after that case, Franziska once more became a prosecutor. She still holds a small grudge against her little brother, and a larger one against Phoenix Wright.

Note: I used the timeline for Franziska's age in 2020. Hope that's OK, since I noticed that neither Miles' age nor Payne's age match with the set year.))

But anyways, they'll start there to examine how my heart is doing and my breathing circulations, seeing as how you say I crashed. If all is fine there, then they will move downward and inspect my abdominal area; check for ploariasis, and possible lacerations."

Arron awoke from the table drenched with coffee. "What?.... Oh god did I over kill on coffee again?.... What did i miss?!?." Arron scanned the room with his eyes, noticing that there was no one in the office except for him. Thinking in his head... "Great, I slept through the whole meeting not to mention Howl must think im a total @ss. More importantly I hope I didn't miss my opportunity to end this case forever." Looking at his watch for answers he rushed to his car and started the engine. "Maybe I still have time..."

Arron ran his car down third avenue, passing through several red lights. His watch showed no mercy to him as it appeared thirty minutes past his scheduled meeting time. Passing under the "L" Arron slowed is car to a park where a mysterious yet familiar figure was standing. He stood tall with a brief case shoved under his right arm. A dark presence filled the air, as Arron walked twords him.

"Hello, Arron..."

She walked briskly down the hallway, giving anyone whom dare look at her a menacing glare and a taste of her whip. The rhythmic clicks of her heels on the linoleum floor were paced perfectly. She was dressed to a T. Perfectly. She had perfectly applied her makeup and perfectly styled her hair that morning. Yes everything about Franziska was perfect. Just like always. Not one day had she neglected this absolute perfection, after all, wasn't the von Karma family creed to 'be perfect in every way'? And Franziska being the last remaining 'true' von Karma, as her sister foolishly abandoned the name by running off and getting married, felt it her obligation to maintain perfection and keep the reputation alive.

When Franziska heard that Sheila was injured, she felt compelled to visit her. Although they had not been good friends, they had been good colleagues. Sheila had always helped her when she needed something and Franziska had done likewise.

As she advanced towards the hospital lobby, Franziska noticed her little brother sitting on the sofa. She smiled, then approached him. "Hello Miles. I heard Sheila was injured and decided to come down here." She waited for a response as she sat down next to him and crossed her legs. Perfectly. She placed her whip on her lap and flattened her skirt.

Howl laughed a little. "True, true..." He laid his head back as a nurse walked in. "Mr. Ingmune, we're ready for your lobectomy." Howl looked over to Sheila. "Lobectomy, Bingo. Fine... Take me away and do your frilly little cut and paste." The nurse was a little stunned, but unlatched the brakes and wheeled Howl to the OR. Before the doors closed, Howl pitched to Sheila. "Wish me luck."

"Good luck," Sheila said to the closed door. She sighed. "Looks like it's just me and the TV." She looked up at it. "Except there aren't any worthwhile shows on at this hour." She wondered if anyone was going to visit as she lied back. "It's amazing how no one questioned why I had a gun on me in the first place." She was just talking to hear herself talk at this point. She would be alone for several hours and unable to really move without a wheelchair.

Franziska did a double take at Edgeworth when she received no response. Noticing that he seemed deeply involved in whatever he was thinking about, she decided to leave him alone. "Very well Miles Edgeworth I'll leave you to your thoughts." With that, she stood up and strutted over to the reception desk.

As she approached the desk the receptionist looked up and leaned forward. "Hello ma'am. How can I he-" She cut herself short when Franziska lifted her whip and pulled it taut. "I, um, don't believe weapons are allowed in the hospit- OW!!!" Franziska whipped her before she could finish.

"Fool! Cant' you see I don't care?!" Franziska stated, whip held high. "I came to this miserable little desk for a purpose, and I intend to get that purpose fufilled! I need not be badgered by meager rules and regulations. They do not apply to a von Karma! A von Karma is perfect!" She whipped the receptionist again. This time however, judging by her body language, Franziska decided she wasn't going to convince her otherwise. This made her very happy, as of coure her mind would not be changed; for changing one's mind shows a tremendous amount of imperfection. "I have been noticfied that a Miss Sheila Axiom was brought to this hospital because of gun shot wounds. I would like to know her room number and have your permission to see her. NOW." Franziska glared.

"I'm afraid I can't-OW!! Okay, okay, fine. Give me a second." She turned to her monitor. "She's in room A325. And you have my permission so long as you aren't hostile to the other patients."

"Hmph." Franziska ignored the last comment and headed off.

"A322, A323, A324... here. A325." She knocked on the door swiftly three times, as Franziska considered this to be the perfect way to knock. "Sheila, it's Franziska." She reached into her small, black leather handbag and pulled out a bottle of perfume. It was purple, in the shape of a diamond, and had ' Sheila ' engraved on the outside. ''I brought you a present."

As Franziska was waiting near the door, a nurse with a gentle voice spoke behind her. "Um, excuse me miss, we need to get Mr. Ingmune back into his room... would you mind... waiting out here until we get him placed into his monitors, and observe his vitals? It will only take a few moments..." The voice trailed off, afraid she had asked too much.

Howl Ingmune is here as well, hmm? Franziska met the nurse's eyes, then tilted her head to see around the nurse, looking for Howl. She then called out to Sheila. "I will be there in a second, Sheila. It seems Howl Ingmune is going to have the pleasure of my company as well." With that, she stepped off to the side and sat down in a chair placed next to the door. Stroking the handle of her whip, Franziska looked back at the nurse. "You do plan to tell me when I may begin my visit."

The nurse quickly nodded and pushed Howl into the room as two other doctors followed her. Around 3 minutes passed as they hooked him back up, and ran simple tests. The doctors soon left and the frail nurse returned to Franziska. "Y-You may visit now. All regulation tests and procedures have been conducted. I'm sorry for your wait." With that, the nurse hastily left.

"You-" Franziska attempted to respond, however the nurse left too abruptly. "Hmph." Sighing as she shook her head, the prosecutor went inside.

Franziska closed the door behind her, then scrutinized her fellow prosecutors. "Ha. You two fools look pathetic." She gave her classic 'I'm-better-than-you' smile, left arm akimbo on her hip. "I let you out of my sight and you get yourselves shot." She *whip* hit the wall above Sheila's bed, then *whip* above Howl's, hoping if nothing else that it got their attention.

She strutted over to Howl's bed, crossed her arms, and gave him a critical look. "I certainly expected more than this to put a stubborn fool like you down, Howl Ingmune." Franziska scanned him, looking for where the shots were, but continued talking. "A head shot at least. If not two."

Howl softly spoke, keeping his eye closed. "Multiple lacerations... infantile hypertrophic pyloric stenosis. I would have rather... been shot." He slowly looked to his rival. "Oh look. The devil is here to take me to Hell. Oh wait, Fanny? Is that you? Sorry... couldn't tell the difference." He laughed, but cringed in pain. "You've no idea... what IHPS is... do you?" Howl looked off to the side. "Let's put it this way... the reason they halted the surgey? If they would have opened the laceration area to suture, clean, and inspect... the Itrophine balance would have reacted as if I was going into shock, raced my heart and brain to overload... and i would have died right there." He looked to her sternly. "Anyone can survive a headshot... but let's see you survive this. Your whip is but an atom to IHPS. I'd love to die right now." He closed his eye. "I've no interest to object to anything you have to say. So best just imagine I'm not here."

Then she waited for a call from Exxplov as she tried to listen to the happenings in the court, where she nodded in approval at Satoshi's argument, smiling.

He wasn't shot. She thought, Rather, he was slashed. Franziska took a few steps forward, looking at his eyes; he was serious about wanting to die.

"Don't say that..." Franziska flinched subtly when Sheila spoke up, then turned to her. "I'm sorry... I was under the impression you came bearing gifts...And please leave Howl alone. He saved someone's life."

Quite intrigued by Sheila's last comment, Franziska strode over to Sheila's side of the room. She found a chair and pulled it up to Sheila's side. "I did bring you a gift." She withdrew the bottle from her handbag, examining the engraving before handing it to Sheila . "However, I was not aware that brute was here with you. I didn't bring him anything except a few belts of my whip." She stretched it in front of her a few times.

Then sitting back in her chair and crossed her legs, she placed the whip on her lap, still keeping her hand on the hilt. "What was this about Howl Ingmune saving someone's life? I've never heard of such foolish nonsense."

Sheila examined the bottle of perfume with her name engraved on it in perfect handwriting and smiled slightly. Franziska and her perfection, she thought. Then, she looked Franziska in the eye.
"I guess there's no point in hiding any of this. The whole reason he's here is partly because of me. I went into the office after being shot. That wound grazed my shoulder, so I should have gone to the hospital, but I felt I needed to warn everyone. I doubted the man was only after me. When I voiced my concern to Howl, he went on a man hunt with Kartina, the intern, ((erm, that was an appositive. They are one and the same.)) and James. But then...I received a phone call from Howl...Katrina was shot twice and was in critical condition. And he was doing all he could to keep her alive.
"Everyone left at the office piled into Edgeworth's car and we went speeding towards the courthouse. Then, I got another phone call. Howl said that the ambulance was taking too long. That Katrina would die if they had to wait any longer. And to tell Edgeworth he would pay the damages to his car later. Then, he used Edgeworth's car as a ramp. I deduce the accident was because of this move. We went into the hospital and Howl looked like...This. Katrina was all bloody, too, but they wheeled her away almost immediately." She smiled slightly. "Howl only let himself faint when Edgeworth told him that his insurance would cover the cost of repairing his car." I wonder how many times I'll have to repeat this story...Probably never again after this. I'm sure by now all the prosecutors know of this.

Franziska held eye-contact with Sheila the duration explanation; for anything else would have shown weakness not perfection. When Sheila finished, "Hmph." was Franziska's initial response.

She almost considered herself lucky that the excitement happened on her day off. Not that she needed a break, for she was perfect and could perfectly function at all times. The State had exhorted a day off, so Franziska put the time to acceptable use by reviewing her current cases...... by her private pool...... sipping a glass of cold blueberry juice..... dressed in a tank-top and shorts. Relaxing perfectly. And of course she wasn't just lucky; for she had decided it was her utterly undiluted perfection that had allowed for such perfect timing. Mentally, she praised herself for being so perfect. Papa would be proud. But as was expected, she did not need the approval of her father (in fact, she immediately disregarded the idea), nor did she need the friendship of anyone, for perfection rode alone. Franziska even began to question why she had come here in the first place; oh right, it was to visit Sheila. She need not concern herself with Howl Ingmune's affairs, although Sheila said she was a partial-instigator to the episode.

"You said your assailant was a male, correct?" Franziska stated as she referenced her perfect mental-notes. "Do you have any thoughts as to his identity?"

"No. But I got him myself," Sheila said. Her eyes darted to her gun and back to Franziska. "He's probably at this very hospital right now." When she thought about it, she had no clue what happened. Did he die? No. At least, not immediately. He had tried to kill her first. But what if she killed him? Would it count as self-defense if she was the one going after him? Not now. "So some of the staff probably know his identity."

Howl couldn't resist. " 'Staff' means the people that work here." He laughed a bit. "Didn't know if your tiny brain could function that big of a word. Maybe we should start smaller?" He coughed violently, but he didn't let that stop him in his badgering. "How about 'losing'... or 'idiotic'..." His eye glistened fast. "Or how about 'fool'. I'm sure your father would use that to explain ya'. Quite swiftly if I might add."

"Stop it," Sheila said sharply to Howl. "There's no reason to be jerks to each other." She looked deeply upset. "Please. You can be all...However you want around each other when you're feeling well, Howl. But right now please...Just be cordial around each other at least..."

Franziska turned her head and scowled at him when Howl began with the insults, but then darted back to Sheila when she spoke up. This isn't her business. "No, Sheila Axiom. You stay out of this." She stood up and headed over towards the opposite side of the room, whip ready to lash out.

Words like 'fool'? Yes, of course he described her as that. More often than not it's what he used. But never in would she admit that, not least to Howl Ingmune.

"Oh, the fool wants more pain? Very well, I can deliver." Looking at Howl laying in the hospital bed, then looking around, Franziska realized that she might whip something important in her fury, therefore killing Howl. He isn't good to anyone dead, let alone me. Also, Sheila was watching, strongly disapproving of whatever she or Howl might do to one another. Lowering her whip, Franziska looked around frantically for something to hit him with. Magazine? No, too flimsy. Eating table? No, too heavy. Sheila? No, of course not. Unable to keep her anger in any longer she turned back to him and delivered a few good slaps to his face. *slap* "That" *slap* "should teach" *slap* "you not" *slap* "to insult" *slap* "a von Karma!" *slap* *slap*

Sheila couldn't take it.
"S-stop!" she shouted, leaping out of her bed to try to restrain Franziska...Only to fall in a heap next to her hospital bed. Thankfully, she managed not to unplug any of her IVs.
"Please..." She tried to get back up, but the pain proved to be too much and she fell back over whenever she made any progress.
