As far as I'm aware (though I've always purchased what I ordered), you're not obligated to buy it if they do stock it, but you get first dibs on it. They are very convenient for getting site-exclusive stuff from Japan. The only catch is that shipping is ~$19, but you do usually get the item in about 2 - 3 days after it ships, and if you order multiple items, its only $3 shipping for each additional item.

Actually, that sounds like a really cool name for a case. We had a 'Turnabout Sisters' in GS1, didn't we? Why not a 'Turnabout Brothers' in the first game in Odoroki's arc? : O
Although, isn't GS4 only supposed to have four cases in it? That could mean we'd have to wait until a possible GS5 for it.

Hey- you're right! Couldn't they have put an extra 2 pages in and had the brothers on seperate pages (if you want to differentiate the brothers you could always give Kyouya's a Garyuu Wave theme), and Phoenix a page?
And Young!Ema keeps giving me distinct 'Flashback Case' vibes... Why else would they put her young character design in?

The indications are, though, that it won't - at least if I actually want to use the calendar for the purpose it was intended instead of just putting it behind glass. While the art is as good as ever, a major gripe with the calendar is the lack of a spiral binding. This means that whenever you need to move on to the next sheet, you have to tear off the one above it rather than just flipping it over to the back, which damages this calendar's durability, collectibility, and practicality.
The calendar is proportioned at a decent A3 size, and printed on quite smooth and bright plastic sheeting. For size reference, included in the photograph is a CD and a Dreamcast VMU that I purchased in the same order, plus a receptacle of that most revered and celebrated Exilir Of Vitality, the sacred Blessed Beverage, the Drink Without Which All Life Is As Naught, a nice cup of tea (English Breakfast, milk, no sugar).
As we know, the only 'new art' to be found in the calendar is the cover image plus the central pose of the "precocious young girl" Minuki, on this page (July-September 2007). Her attitude in this pose is a little difficult to read to be perfectly honest - the oversized irises make discerning whether she's gazing at you, is alight with mischievous glee or has just glazed over and is staring vacantly a little ambiguous. Starting the year in April may seem odd (it's only used in the financial sector and your tax assessment - joy of joys - now), but the easiest answer is because the new game is being released in April - as this calendar is a promotional item, it wouldn't raise much hype if it was released four months early!

One thing I did notice, now that I have some art for Kyouya in the flesh, is that his pendant doesn't really look exactly like a G. You could easily push for it to be a flame, or something similar, which would mean a lot more choice with Kyouya's English name. That is, if GS4 is going to be localised.Which it is, dammit!
