"I always loved the Chicken Parmesan here. I used to get stomachaches from it when I was younger." She smiled at the memory.

((For sake of understanding, all pronouns about Invidia that remain gender neutral or objectified will start in a caps, liked "It" instead of "it".))

Invidia gazed blankly into space. The words Forticius told meant something, yet there was something wrong about the whole idea.

'...to give me the throne. To give me... give... to give is unnatural.' Invidia's twisted mind wove, stringing thoughts across to reach Its final conclusion. 'He was teasing me... they all are. They do not think I can take it from them... I can prove them all wrong, I can take it from them.'
Another spike in Invidia's energy, and Hubris knew that it was too late, Invidia was about to go on a rampage.

"Invidia," He barked, no longer caring that San was still at his open doorway. "Cease this at once! Whatever he said, whatever he promised, is worthless, empty--"

Invidia slowly stood, swinging the long copy of the scythe in a slow arc as It gained balance. Even if sluggish, Hubris hopped backwards and out of range to avoid the potentially nasty cut the weapon would have given him. "...where did you get that? Who else was here, besides Forticius? Answer me!!"

Invidia, now standing in Its hunched slouch, briefly looked at Hubris. Taking a slow step to the side of the room, It muttered a few nonsensical words. "Mine... what a beautiful... better than his.... Saaaammmllleeee... inferior... MY throne..."

Rather abruptly, Invidia started to sink INTO the wall behind It-- or, rather, the large vanity mirror laying against the wall, special ordered by Hubris for travel and frequent inspection.

"She copied me...!" Hubris choked, the wind practically knocked out of him by the shock. Invidia slid into the mirror, in a mimicry of Hubris's special ability, until It was completely submerged into the glass. While Hubris's power made mirrors doorways into somewhere else, It seemed Invidia was actually INSIDE the reflection, as It began to shamble through the depicted room in the mirror, disappearing from view only to reappear in the faint shine of the window, and walking through there as well. Finally, after passing through what seemed like the entire wall's worth of shiny, reflective objects, Invidia left altogether, leaving the room for the next, and so on.

Hubris was still stuck in shock: Invidia, at whatever point during Its resurrection and summoning, had copied Hubris as he used the mirror to travel. This wasn't an exact copy-- probably drawn from what this had appeared to look like from Invidia's perspective from the outside going in. Even though it was a type of mimicked power, that trick wasn't the same. Hubris didn't know if he could properly give chase at this point.

Still in a slight shock, he walked across his room and flopped onto the bed, grunting in anger and frustration. "What the hell did he say to her?" Hubris muttered. "Invidia isn't the embodiment of 'greed', she wouldn't simply want something out of avarice... Gaah..."

Sitting up, Hubris noticed the calling-card, still left on the floor of his room. "What is it with cards these days...??" He groused as he picked up the piece of paper and absentmindedly looked it over, idly flipping it a few times.

Forticius looked Invidia from a Mirror "Every 1000 years I manage to find somebody able to give up my throne and proceed with the plan, and I finally have found the one who might want it, San Desire was also very close, if I only could contact him when he was younger..." Forticius grinned at the sight of the rampage of Invidia, he couldn`t enter the mirror world where It was but he could comunicate with It, he knew his voice would not be well received but he started to emulate a familiar voice, Satan, creator of the 7 entities, "Delicious Irony, It will be his own voice the one who is going to allow me have the revenge against him" he started to comunicate with Invidia using Satan`s voice "Hello my creation, I know you are confused now, but please follow my voice, I will help you to show them their inferiority to you"

Invidia heard the voice, and stopped where It stood. It's blank face turned this way and that, until finally walking towards the location of the voice, slowly getting closer to Forticius in the mirror. It started a raspy chant of "Mine... mine... I shall take what's m-i-n-e..." as it walked.

As Invidia got near Forticius, he changed slowly to his real voice "Accept what its yours my dear, take my hand if you accept" forticius put his hand against the mirror with a diabolical grin, his revolution was about to begin...

It was 4 am, everyone was sleeping except Maria, Master and Inner "So Inner, are you taking her as your aprentice? she is opening the doors and you are the only one who can help her, plus I bet you can help her with her fighting skills" Inner started to smoke "Very well, you can leave now, I will take care of the situation" Maria said "Lets leave father" Master smiled as they slowly walked away.
Inner, now alone, started to walk to Jasmine´s room, took out his cellphone and played a loud Zydrate Anatomy ringtone "Very well girl, time for your train to begin" Inner smiled as he gave her some flexible cotton pants and a sweater "Its cold outside, change your clothes and meet me outside, you have 5 minutes" Inner walked away leaving the cigarrete arome behind...

Inner shouted "Concetrate god damn!, you must be perfectly precise to hit the weak points, if you slightly fail like you did here, they will have an easy way to you" Inner walked to Jasmine´s and took her knives, then he gave her extremely heavy knives "These are training knives, until you manage to throw the properly, I cant allow you to use light weapons, when both your speed and precision are mediocre".
Hunter woke up with all the shouting, then he yelled trough the window "GOD FUCK INNER, I WANT TO SLEEP" hunter tried to sleep again when he received a call "What the fuck now? its 4am" "Mister pagan hunter, I hope you to remember about our date tonight" "Whatever vatican dog, now let me sleep" hunter turned the cellphone off and sleep again...

Jasmine stared at him.
"Fine," she practically growled, throwing all her light knives at the blanks and taking the heavy ones. Every knife found a blank and got it right in the center. "So, what am I supposed to do with these heavy ones?" I promised myself I wouldn't let him get to me...I need his help. Control yourself.

Inner took one of the heavy knives, it literally weighted a ton, the next half second the knife was in a sign 50 kilometers away right in the eye of the man laughing picture "By the end of the day you must be able to that in half the time I did it, now start with 1 kilometer!" Inner said and took a cigarrette

"Oh, goody," Jasmine said sarcastically. She could barely lift the knives, let alone throw them. How was she supposed to manage to do that? I have to. I have to...Remember what this is for... Jasmine threw one of her knives, barely able to toss it the kilometer. She couldn't tell whether it even hit the target. Her arm felt like it was on fire from overexerting it.

Inner facepalmed "Pathetic!, now do 1000 push ups!" he yelledas he saw the knife barely striking the blank, before the girl had the oportunity to put herself down, inner poured a liquid "this liquid is a non lethal acid, if you fall during push up it will burn your chest, and every time you complain you will another 1000 push ups, understand?" despite the training that inner was giving was not a cherry, the training he received years ago from Sal was much harder, Inner slightly smiled as he remembered "that old bastard..."

Invida burst through the mirror violently, scrabbling and flailing lanky limbs as It forced Its way through of the glass like a newborn from the womb. Midway out, the copy-scythe reappeared in It's hand, the same occurrence of flesh extending and congealing into a separate mass now recreating the weapon from Invidia's body. Still aggressively struggling, It started twisting around, swinging blindly the weapon and forcing it's way out of the mirror. All the while, It was chanting:

"Take what's mine... shall take what is mine... take what's mine..."

((I left a subtle hint earlier; envy may be similar, but it is not greed. No, for envy is both (but not limited to) the desire for what others have, and the spite at them for having it. In other words, this isn't friendly~))

"Okay," Jasmine said. She smiled a fake smile before attempting 1000 push-ups. She could barely motivate herself. Her arms felt like jelly. And she barely managed fifty before falling. The acid burned, and Jasmine screamed as she got back up into position. She looked up at Inner. "I'm okay. Man, that acid is wicked stuff," she quipped, tears in her eyes. She couldn't breath without it hurting more. She looked back down and tried doing the rest of them. But she got progressively more tempted to complain as she kept falling and getting the acid burning her chest. By the time she got to 100 push-ups, she could barely see straight because she was in so much pain.

By the time the girl reached 500 push ups Inner put a brick in her back "Pathetic! I can`t believe that lesser demons have not eaten your liver yet!" he yelled once again and spitted his cigarrette smoke into Jasmine`s face.
At 7 am, and after many acid burns, Inner saw that the girl finished the exercise "Very well brat, you earned breakfast, wash your hands and come to the kitchen", a half hour later, there where salad, eggs, meat and blood puddin in a big plate "Eat it, all these things have nutrimients that you will need, and if you dont finish it, you wont get the next food" Inner said coldly as he served a lighter breakfast to himself...

Forticius smiled "Then you shall have it" Forticius cut his wrist and chanted "I, Forticius, king of demons, reject my title, and give it to the emboiment of Envy, Invidia" Forticius skin was slowly ripped as he chuckled, his body started to mutate becoming a winged, giant, abomination of black matter, the abomination reached out his hand to Invidia as black blood started cover It, soon enough the blood was absorbed by Invidia`s body as Forticius returned to his normal form, and kissing Invidia`s hand said "Now Its highness, I must take my leave, your kingdom is waiting for their king" Forticius showed It a portal to the Demon world.
Forticius walked away vanishing like mist, the first step in his "revolution" successed, he was no longer Demon King and absorbed a trace of a sin`s aura...

"Yes, sir," Jasmine said, wincing as she reached for her silverware. She was glad she had cleaned up. At least she didn't look as awful as she felt. She was pretty hungry, but she could barely dig into her food before she was full. I have to eat all of it. If I don't, I won't get my next meal, she thought. She ate with renewed strength, eating a little more of everything. She was going to give herself a stomachache eating all that. What should I care? It's not like I'll be able to feel it after the acid. Every time she tried grabbing things, she got more chest pain. She was constantly fighting the urge to wince. But that food sure tasted great. She dug in again, clearly making an effort to eat it all.

"...n...n...no..." Invidia moaned slightly. "...I must... must take... TAKE... take w-what shall... be m-i-n-e..."

Invidia clumsily swung the scythe around in the air, as It stood before the gateway, in a fit of pitiable rage for not having It's way. To put it bluntly: It had what It wanted-- the title and unbeknown ties and power that follow --but still felt 'empty'; Such was it's eternal curse, yet the events did not truly click to Invidia. Forticius had, for better or worse, put a being incompetent to rule in his stead; Invidia was ruled by It's desires, It's spite, malice and weakness (one of the Sins who had been lost in itself, a literal metaphor).

Cringing and twisting about in the unknown location, Invidia started to claw at the ground like feral beast, before falling limply to it's knees, it's eyes rolling back in Its head. 'This "giving" is unnatural' Invidia thought to itself, suddenly coherent in mind. 'There is only one law, and that is one owns what one takes... he cheated me out of this...um, this thing. Cheated, I know it... and he shall give to me what is mine.'

Invidia slowly stood It's gangly form upright again, and, leaving the scythe where it lay in the ground, walked through the gate.

((If there is anything I should know in regards to Invidia's new title, soon would be a good time for me to be told. XD))

Hubris, still in his apartment, lay up upon the bed. He could feel it, something had just gone wrong-- or rather, something had changed. He couldn't place the exactness of it, but he wouldn't put it past Forticius for this to be involved with what had occurred a while ago.

He tossed the card to the ground and stood up, ignoring San Desire's presence completely now. "I haven't got a clue about the small stuff, but I think I have laid around long enough." Hubris spoke, reaching around to his back. Lifting his shirt up, his hand went into his back, before pulling out his signature mirror (quite a feat, considering it was over twice the length of his middle-section). "It's time I kicked things into motion."

He placed his large, bronze-backed mirror against a wall, and gingerly stepped through it, disappearing into the glass without a trace.

Somewhere, in a bar in Nevada's own Las Vegas, a man in a fancy, gray cashmere suit was singing karaoke to celebrate his night's winnings. His eyes shined a deep, rich green in the dim light of the establishment practically glowing with a exuberance. His voice, a rich baritone, sung the words with gusto and heart:

"Despair, the end of the world~
I hear the rising phoenix in my dream;
And the virgin child made her wish upon a star
That night her mo-ther talks no more~

Cape of hope, the end of the dream~
A shiny fish splashes in a stream~
And the virgin child loses her heart and soul,
That night her mother's eyes see no more~!

When the wind blows
The virgin child's corpse sings a song,
Such a pretty mel'dy, never heard before~!!

No more~ lullabies~
The virgin child smiles from Hell!!"

The audience broke into mild applause, easy cheering pipping up once or twice.
"Thank you, thank you kindly! That was a personal favorite of mine, by the Su.51 Country Soul-Singers." The man said into the microphone, giving a slight bow and flourish. He had a big grin on his lean face, and that same sparkle in his eye only grew with it. "This next tune is another one I happened to have brought with me, to wish you all luck at those slots tonight!"

((Don't mind any references, they have nothing to do with the canon of the story. I just like the song, and enjoy humorous 'easter-eggs'. Profile to come soon, kudos if you can place him before then~))

Full moon night, Inner took Jasmine to the field "Very well girl, now take the practice knife, if you fail to do what I told you to by the morning, you will be showering with the push ups acid, am I clear?" inner gave her the practice heavy knife as he glared her...

Forticius appeared in Hubris` apartment once again "Oh hello my cute darling Hubris, I know I`m not your cup of tea but tonight, I`m afraid we are going to have to join forces" Forticius smiled angelically as he looked at the now empty apartment "You have quite the taste dear" Forticius sat, his powers where the same but giving up his title took much energy from him, and his minions would not obbey him anymore, Hubris was the only one that he could use, but he didnt had the energy to trace him through his mirrors

Samael finally moved, he took a human form and went to the human world, he bought a hot dog and ate it slowly as he walked to the apartment complex, his scythe was in his pocket "Forticius, a meaningless being that feeds breaking the balance, and Hubris, the sin without purpose barely walking on the human world..." he started to walk slowly climbing the stairs

Jasmine threw the knife before responding. She had certainly improved a lot, not quite clearing the fifty kilometers but getting really close. She looked down, upset by her failure.
"I'm on it," she said, getting down and doing her thousand push-ups before getting up and trying again. This time, she cleared the fifty kilometers, hitting the picture, but only in the chin. "I know. That was pathetic. If a demon was here, he would have killed me a thousand times by now." She sighed and picked up the last knife. She threw it as hard as she could, and it hit the picture in the forehead.

Inner just keep looking at her, she had improved "Very well brat, now, Will you fucking concentrate and hit it in the damn eye?" Inner`s knife was still in the sign eye, it shinned a little with the full moon light "Do not use your eyes to aim, use your sense, everything has an aura, even that sign, concetrate and feel the aura, feel the eye, the weakness" saying so inner gave her another knife "Now, fucking do it" he smiled

Jasmine closed her eyes and concentrated. Then, she grabbed the knife from Inner's hand and threw it. She hit the picture right in the eye, right next to the knife still wedged in there. Her eyes were still closed for a couple seconds before she opened them.

Jasmine smiled. That was the closest thing to a compliment she could expect. Better than showering in acid, at least. She gladly went to bed and collapsed into a deep sleep.

Hubris pushed himself partially back out of the mirror, stopping at only half his chest and head, the rest of him still submerged in the glass. He pulled a hand out, and raised it, flashing his middle finger at Forticius.

"I hope you know that your sweet-talking us is both demeaning and disturbing." He said, resisting the urge to outright attack. "So far, I have not had the best patience today, and to top it off, you stole my sister and collapsed my revenge plan before it took off. So at this point, I have only one thing to say..."

Gripping edges of the mirror with both his hands, he leaned forward out of it (as if leaning out of a doorway) and shouted. "What the HELL do you want!?!"

As it happened, all the people who had listened to the green-eyed man did go out to gamble. And sadly, they all lost, some even spending more than they could pay back. The man, still at the bar, lifted his legs up onto a table while he sat, folding his arms behind his head and chuckling at his own winnings, both monetary and otherwise.

Forticius took out a shinning sphere wich transformed into a shinning blade...

I just wait until I feel like punishing this impudent punk, and I get Forticius taken care of ahead of time."

"Well, sorry to say, I don't intend to play your savior, 'Forcy'." Hubris said, before disappearing completely into the glass, leaving no trace but his echoing, fading voice. "Farewell, thank you for telling me where my sibling is, and good luck; for when this guy finishes you off, you probably will need it..."

With that, Hubris's presence had disappeared completely.

Jasmine woke up, rubbing her eyes. By then, she was used to getting up at 4 in the morning, so she was surprised to see Inner wasn't, at that moment, right next to her bed, staring at her and the clock so if she didn't wake up on time, he could give her the proper punishment. She walked downstairs and saw a note on the table. She read it.
"Don't ask any questions? Who would I even ask questions to? Nobody's here," she said, shaking her head. She pocketed the note and went outside to the field, where she began throwing her training knives.

Forticius rejected Samael with energy waves, his mind was slowly being lost, with the last of his mind Forticius abominable body summoned Jasmine`s soul, she was levitating over samael "Now let the flood of blood sofocate you" Forticius opened reached out one of his arms, it looked like it was made of corpses, and wrapped Samael, as the blood waves started to come out of Jasmine`s body, Samael cut his way out of Forticius embrace, and stood motionless "A human, not yet to decease, I must take forticius but not her" Samael flew towards Forticius` head to be bitten with Forticius vicious mutated fangs.
Both inner and V arrived to the place, Inner was spechless at the sight of Jasmine, he suddenly rushed towards the building, "Inner we can`t do anything, that`s not even her, its just her soul" Inner tried to take out a cigarrette but he noticed his pack was empty "I was thinking of stop smoking, but then I remembered that as a hunter my life span isn`t that long" he threw the pack to the ground and continued running, hunter followed him "Inner, you sick fuck"

Jasmine was just about to drop and do 1000 push-ups, but then she felt faint. She collapsed dizzily. It was as if she was rapidly losing blood. And she was in PAIN. Lots of it. She had no clue what was hitting her as she breathed sharply, trying to get the relief that didn't come.

I see that you are having a snack," he threw a knife at the jaws releasing Samael "2 dhampires not yet to decease, go away" Inner smiled "buddy you got a nice power, but as much as I hate to admit it, we stand no chance against Forty" Inner grabbed Samael, he was very light, he did not resist, v rushed to forticius "PEST, DIE" Jasmine´s soul blood waves aimed hunter "God powers and you use a little girls power?" he was hitted by the blood, he stood up again "Inner we can get her soul, you cant break Forticius links, take the guy way, I´ll distract him" Inner did so, heading for the office "Forty you had your mind now, at least you could say something witty" his aura sorrounded everything in a diameter of 50 meters "SOUL CIRLCLE supernova shine" a blinding light filled everything, as the ruins of the apartment vanished and Forticius body´s material got hard and full of fissures, hunter ran tothe office.
A while later the place was full of police and people, many deaths and no bodies, the place looked like nuked, there was a statue like thing full of fissures, suddenly, it broke and Forticius human form walked outside, he was naked and stunned, he yelled and dissappeared

The green-eyed man strolled past tables, headed for a doorway at the far edge of the large, large room. He passed through the doors into a darkened theater, where upon stage a troupe of scantily clad women danced. That was but one of the attractions of that room.

He walked to a private booth-- the lower section of the theater comprised by normal rows of chairs, the upper half comprised of layered rows with alcoves set into the wall for curving booths set around private tables --and took a seat. After a few minutes, a man walked over with a menu of drinks. As the server walked away, the green-eyed man opened the menu and pulled out the hidden sheet of paper.

This paper was the key to the real attraction of this casino. It was a list of several names, times, and other factors. About as much of a black-market gambling as any other. THIS was where the green-eyed man wanted to be.

Jasmine felt even weaker, her pain increasing in intensity. And then, it...Stopped. Her breathing came easier and she looked up at the sky. What had happened? Was she sick? But she didn't feel anything until a few minutes before, and she didn't feel anything anymore. Granted, she was very tired for some reason, but all other feelings passed.
The note read: Don't ask questions, she thought. Could Inner and Master Hunter disappearing have something to do with this?

Materialising once more in the underworld, San Desire concentrated on locating Hubris. He couldn't, so sent Hubris the Underworld equivalent of a text message.
