I've been hung up on RP ideas, but this one came to me a while back

"It's the year 2024, and coperations across the world have begun to partake in the seedy underbelly of assasination. Hiring out the best, craziest, or cheapest killers out there. Some people took advantage of this, and started an orginization to provide these killers. The Asassin's leauge united (ALU) was formed to better shape this new (and profitable!) line of work. However, another group's finances are being shot because of this. M.E.R+K (Mercenaries Engaged in Recon+Killings) is now angry with this new orginization, and is deploying their top Merc squads to stop these hitmen...to be frank, this is a war no one can win, but will be one hell of a show eh?"

That's the basic story, it takes place in a pretty modern era, so guns and semi advanced technology is a go.

INFO: Jonathan used to be a simple desk jockey who visited the shooting range every weekend or so. When his boss's right hand man "Vanished" he was re-assigned to Liberty City, to take his position. Jonathan had no idea why this happened, nor did he know his boss well. He reluctantly agreed to go to the crime infested city, when he found out the real meaning of his workplace: Cold murder. For a year he was trained into a skilled assassin, then was simply...demoted. He was a desk jockey once more. He then realized that his year away from home left plenty of time for a certain rival coperation to destroy his workplace. He found two magnum revolvers under his desk, with a note saying "You have work to do, and no breaks either. He also found a plane ticket. He was to go to Capital city to the real base of operations, and begin his career as a full time hitman. Being the quiet, somewhat angry man he was, he gladly excepted"

It wasn't about the money, it was the justice he brought. One day he was walking down the street when a black van pulled up. "Get in." The driver said. He's been working with the company ever since.

GEAR: Two knives, one whip, poison darts (poison isn’t a super weapon, it’s from the poison arrow frog: yes, the neon-blue, black-spotted one)
APPEARANCE: Green eyes, wavy black hair, a jasmine in her hair in honor of her name, black strapless shirt, flexible black pants up to her knees and a brown multipurpose belt in which she has all of her weaponry
INFO: Jasmine was an only child, her parents died soon after she was born, and she learned how to survive on her own since then. She grew up in a harsh, unforgiving environment, and her honed skills made her one of the top members of the ALU. She has worked in the ALU for exactly 6 years, making her the member who joined at the youngest age (11). All of her names mean “silent” so her alias matches her perfectly.

And by the way, you have to make a profile list.))

Jasmine woke up from her apartment room, which looked pretty normal---when you look at it normally. In every single piece of furniture, there was always something hidden. She walked to her door, got a trail mix bar (her normal breakfast) from her pouch on her handy belt, and locked her apartment room with what looked to be a normal doorknob, but in fact records everything, even a single shred of DNA, that touches it. She walked out of the apartment, and walked into the ALU main building, which, conveniently, was right across the apartment building which she stayed in. She thought to herself, "Years of living in the streets, a most excellent job and salary, and you get what you deserve, though the world shows less mercy to those who struggle even more than I do. I only hope I could help my friends in the streets of my childhood." She then looked at the bunck of people, simply waiting for a mission. She sighed, and cracked her whip, which she did every morning to wake up everyone. She then waited until someone would start a conversation.

Jonathan awoke early that day, as he often did. The City of New Victory was a crime infested scum hole, so it was advisable to start the day and get it over with. Do your business and come home...too bad today isn't one of those days. "Uhgh...freakin' ALU makin' me get up to go to some meeting shit. I don't wanna go to that. I signed up to kill, not to push pencils...*sigh*" He got into his van, which had his two lucky magnums right in the glove compartment. He started his car, only to realize that some punks took his tires...again. "HA HA very funny ya brats. Not like I got ANYTHING to do today..." He grabbed his magnums, stuck them in his coat and walked down to the bus station. If anyone bothers asking about his guns...well, most people carry them around here. Scum don't clean itself right? He walked about fifteen minutes to the bus station and plopped down on the seat. Waiting for the people to ge ton so he could go to work.

Joined M.E.R.K. cause he felt slightly more appreciated among fellow soldiers rather than the boy scouts he lead in the war. Despite being known as 'Angry Angus' the name is ironic, in his spare time he likes to settle down in his cabin with a book and generally has quite a calm demeanour. Despite being a mercenary generally prefers to feel he's killing for a good reason.

Angus groaned as he rolled out of bed giving his chin a good thorough rub as he blinked in the morning sun flickering through the blinds of the barracks. Alongside his bed fellow M.E.R.K. members rested in their chambers. Normally M.E.R.K.'s were allowed to sleep as long as they want...unless they were given a speciic assignment. Hmm wonder what those ALU killers are up to today... he thought to himself with amusement as he pulled on his boots his eyes flickering briefly to the small letter containing instructions placed on his nightstand. Picking up the letter he swiftly pocketed it before donning his Jacket and heading out across the base into the harsh morning sunlight Hmm good day for it, little cold for my liking but we've got good visibility wonder who else is working today he contemplated lazily heading over to the main base where the briefing room, administration and other important non-field agents operated.

(So will we be given a plot or....what?)

Zion walked slowly to the bus stop. It was much more efficient that way. Gas was an expensive item in this country. And when one didn't find money to be an important thing, expensive items weren't the best thing to buy. So the bus it was. He walked into the bus station bathroom to check if his downsizers were loaded in privacy. Making sure they were, he looked in the mirror, quickly groomed himself, and walked out. He sat down, his free hand playing with his necklace.

((The plot is a war my good man. The two groups are trying to annihilate each other, and take control over their respective company. You can do this in any way you see fit, as it stands the current way YOU know of is to kill everyone on the other side. But more ways will eventually make themselves apperent until it basically breaks out into full blown nuclear bombings. Don't worry though, just keep playing, and everything will open up soon))

Trigger walked to the bus station, where it seemed a lot of other people went. He looked around for someone familiar, perhaps someone he could talk to. He recognized a colleague of his and sat down next to him.
"Hi," he said to Jonathan.

~Kelly~
Kelly walked straight to M.E.R+K headquarters, into the main base. Was she really ready for working big time? She wanted to practice somehow, but there was no way she would be able to without damaging something. She sighed and sat down, waiting for something to happen.

Jonathan sighed as he saw Trigger. He wasn't found of the man, but he didn't exactly hate him. "Hello Trigger...uh, your tires get lifted too, or are you one of those shmucks who are going green? Either way I honestly hate the bus." Magnum wasn't a happy man. He lived a rough life in his old neighborhood, he was bullied, he was short...but now he loomed tall over the city. With people at his mercy. "So, do you have any clue why the hell the big man called us up to some meeting? Honestly, there has to be some labor union loophole mumbo jumbo that I can do to stay home on a Saturday. I NEVER agreed to this schedule." Magnum tipped his hat over his eyes and put his feet up on his bag "Though I guess there isn't much of a union for us eh?"

Trigger grinned slightly.
"I wish I knew," he answered. I wish I knew... He stared into the distance for a few seconds. Then, he focused back on Jonathan. Except he had already said all he needed to say.

"Hmph, maybe to discuss those Merk monkeys throwing their crap around as usual. I really don't care about MER+K, I never did. They ruined what was supposed to be business, we salved it, and now they are raging at us." Magnum began drifting off "We really aren't that much different, aside from our company names. Killers all the same."

Angus smiled as he entered the HQ and spied Kelly sitting down in the corridor "Morning" he said grabbing one of the newspapers lieing around as he entered the dull grey building. A swift glance at the front page preached more about ALU killings, of course the actual figures were probably a lot less dramatic but knowing ALU not by much" he said getting some coffee and sitting down beside the girl. Donning his reading glasses beforeflickering through the pages briefly while the strategic plans for another mission were going on. Frowning seeing how nervous the girl was he closed his paper and removed his glasses "You ok little one? You look pretty nervous about being here?" he said realising how odd it was for a 15 year old girl to be in a mercenary headquarters.

Elene slipped into the base as silently as her alias suggested. Nobody at MER+K actually knew her given name, but unlike some of her fellow assassins, she had not completely abandoned herself, just preferred to have her collegues and enemies to know her as Shadow - reflecting upon her certain style of killing as well as protecting her identity from enemies and potential traitors.

Slipping onto the bench Kelly and Angus were on equally silently, Elene crossed her legs. "Hello," she said suddenly, alerting them to her prescence for the first time.

Angus jumped as Shadow appeared from seemingly nowhere "Jesus Shadow coulda given me a heart attack" he chuckled taking into account of her weaponry A bit old fashioned for my tastes "I see you've equipped yourself already, I still gotta swing by the armory later." he said tearing his eyes away from her sword "Looks like we're taking a new recruit out today" he said to her looking over at the painting on the wall opposite "Don't suppose you know what our assignent is yet do ya?" he asked

Taking note of Angus' appearance Elene nodded slightly to herself. Probably ex soldier. Noisy, clunky. Power fighter. These things ran through her head almost automatically - assessing someone's strengths and weaknesses was a handy skill as you never know if you may have to fight them one day.

"Old fashioned, perhaps," Elene said in her smooth voice. "But effective nontheless. Though you are mistaken in beleiving these sorts of weapons belong to the armoury." She left her correction there, constantly afraid of reealing too much information.

Angus nodded flickering through some pages of the paper "Well I figure...those kinda weapons aren't exactly armoury standard weaponry." he said deciding to overlook the fact she'd read his mind A woman like that you don't mess with "But I take it you don't know what assignment we have then?" he said sipping his coffee and putting the paper aside seeing a light flicker on above the meeting room indicating the end of the strategy session.

"If I did know the assignment, I doubt I would be free to discuss it at will," Elene said frustratingly before turning her attention to Kelly. Only one word sprang to mind when she saw the teen - accuracy. She had that sharp look in her eyes.

Angus sighed seeing Elene's unwillingness to cooperate "Not even to squadmembers?" he said "You know protocol means if we're all here we're all going to be on the same operation" he said as an official for the company spied the group and beckoned them to enter the strategy and briefing room "I guess we better get going, come on kiddo" he said nudging the teen with his elbow as he got up and stretched Great, bad way to start the day, my team for this mission is a psychopathic mind reader and a greenhorn he dropped the paper on the table and moved towards the strategy room. Still maybe that rookie will turn out to be some kind of prodigy I dunno he concluded to himself

Kelly was just about to respond. She was nervous, but not very much. It probably just came with the first day on the job. But before she could say anything, some random lady-Shadow, she was called-showed up. The ALU was just a hop over the fence and a short walk from here. "Better off this way. No one can track me...the bastards..." Angus smiled "Hey kiddo don't be so silent speak up and stuff, I'm sure they wouldn't give you anything hard on your first day" he said as the official disappeared into the room seeing them following "Besides Shadow here is a talented lass, and I'm no poor shot myself, we'll keep an eye out for you" he said waiting on Shadow.

Elene shot Angus a surprised look before answering. "You shouldn't make assumptions," she said, before quickly adding, "But yes, I suppose I could...keep an eye out." Truthfully I don't have the time or patience to watch out for a teenager. Though I'm sure that accuracy of hers should keep her out of trouble. Dropping smoothly into her usual seat at the long table, Elene rested both elbows on the table and waited for someone to speak.

Angus frowned seeing Shadow being uncooperative What's her problem, just trying to give the kid a little confidence, doesn't matter if she's incredibly talented if she cracks under the pressure and hides he thought before sighing and stepping into the room settling down on a chair.

The official was a weedy looking man in a tweed suit, the kind that would nervously try and solve a potentially dangerous situation with diplomacy or appeasement. Angus gave him two weeks. "W-well you guys know that ALU has been....overactive lately in the city taking out targets here and there and everywhere" the official said nervously laughing before clearing his throat "A-hem but what we want you to do is to destroy an ALU outpost on the edge of the city, it's quite near our base and you can take what supplies you want but I hear an agent called Zion is operating in the area so you may need to take special care when dealing with him." he said passing out profiles of Zion

Angus frowned looking over the profile "The Shaman huh?" he murmered "This guys had a tough life maybe we can take the pain away for him today" he said somewhat saddened by Zion's story "He's well armed but the dagger probably can't hold up to Shadow's sword if she gets in close and I can provide firepower to keep the generics off her, might I request some special explosives to detonate the outpost?" he asked.

The offical nodded "Um....c-certainly it's on the edge of the city so damage to civilian buildings should be minimal if you can't find Zion or the defenses should prove too tough just pull out ok. At M.E.R.K. you are our first priority." he said smiling "Also this is...Kelly a new recruit!" he said pausing to look at the profile "Now I know she's young but thats why I entrusted her to you two for now, Shadow is a knife and dagger expert too so I expect you two to look out for each other." he said speaking mainly to Shadow. The official adjusted his glasses squinting at the profile once more "Kline.." he whispered thinking the name sounded familiar before shrugging it off and placing the paper down "You can take a car or truck from the garage to get there and I've given you a map of the nearest base to retreat to if things go south...any other requests or questions?" he asked handing Angus the permission slip to take explosives from the armory.

Elene gave the official a withering look as she was 'assigned' to the teen and watched him cringe before asking her question. "So we kill everyone?" She didn't take particular joy in killing, but killing everyone would be easier than leaving behind witnesses to their raid.

The official visibly cringed under the look Elene was giving him "Well ideally in as little mess as possible, the main objective is the destruction of the base, if you take it out we can secure that area of the city and hold them off for a while just clear out most of the operatives and ideally Zion being the top registered assassin there though he may well escape if things get too tough." the official stated.

Angus glanced over at Nadindi "The War between M.E.R.K. and those ALU psychopaths isn't exactly secret stuff pretty much anything bad that happens to ALU they assume it's our fault...of course...normally it is don't feel the need to worry about witnesses overly because when the bomb goes off if somebody survives in the rubble I don't wanna waste time searching for them while Zion escapes." he said crossing his arms.

(No apologies neccessary sometimes it's enevitable.)

Elene nodded, though noting in her mind that she would kill all she could. She didn't need people describing her to others. "What does this Zion look like?" she said, absently running a long finger down the sheath of her sword. She had a knack for visualising people, but only so long as the person describing them was accurate. Looking at the official, Elene sighed. Not likely with this one.

The official smirked glad to be able to act condescending at her display of stupidity "Ac-"

"Hey check the file," Angus said interrupting the official "Theres no picture but a description of him down the bottom, I'm afraid thats all we have to work with" he said to Shadow while the official visibily sagged his sense of arrogance dissipated instantly.

(The profiles handed out are the same as the ones we posted just look up to check on Zion's info.)

Before checking the file, Elene showed one of her cruel displays of superiority. To others it seemed like arrogance, but for her it was a way of letting loose her anger and letting others know not to cross her. It made her feel powerful.

She withdrew a small needle from a pouch at her waist and threw it, the point of the needle embedding itself in the official's shoulder, who yelped satisfactorily. Elene slid the file towards her and began reading as she spoke. "If that needle was poisoned," she withdrew a small vial from the same pouch. "This is the antidote." She pushed the vial so that it slid across the table to rest in front of the official. "But if it wasn't poisoned, that antidote will kill you." Elene looked up to register the expression in the official's eyes before reading the description of Zion, a picture forming steadily in her mind.

What an idiot of an official, she thought.

Angus looked incredulously at Shadow while the official panicked "Hey Shadow, we know your good but this guy is on our side, and it's mutiny we're not like those ALU psychopaths," he said frowning while the official whimpered.

"I swear once you get back from your mission your going to be courtmarshalled for this!" he insisted looking at the antidote nervously.

Angus sighed "Shadow there are better operatives than you here, and I'd really rather M.E.R.K. was not involved in infighting there's more stability in this job than anywhere else so please tell him if it's poisoned or not." he said standing up with the file "You ok there Kelly?" he asked concerned If this is who they want to be the girls mentor....I'm not sure about this..

Elene rolled her eyes. "He won't last long here anyway, so it's hardly a mutiny." She shrugged and continued flicking through the file. "Drink it, then." She chose her words carefully so that she wasn't actually saying if it was poisoned or not. It wasn't, but it would be interesting to see if he drank it or not.

Turning to Angus, Elene sighed. "I'm not trying to prove that i'm good. I'm sure everyone already knows that. As for the girl," she said, taking note of Angus' worried look. "If she can't handle a little drama, she's not fit for the division." She shrugged again and stood, scooping up the file and plucking the needle out of the official, cleaning it, and replacing it in its pouch before returning to her seat to check over her weapons.

Elene shrugged. "That one? Five minutes. He won't die now. Maybe some diaohrea." She smirked before taking out her longsword and using the point of a dagger to pick off some dried blood.

"Make sure I clean the sword? What do you think i'm doing?" Elene muttered as she picked out some dry blood from inside a groove on the hilt of her sword. Satisfied, she turned the sword over to make sure it was completely blood-free before replacing it in its sheath.
