Did you ever solve the case or get any of the twists BEFORE the game intended you to? Sometimes it can make stuff easier, sometimes you know exactly what happened but you can't "tell" the people in the game.

I knew that Acro was the killer as soon as I saw him, and I figured out how he did it later during the investigation. That actually made most of the trial a whole lot easier.

Haha, I've actually done that a few times before. Ended up presenting evidence too early. It was a bit frustrating, but makes you a little prouder of yourself, no? xD

Me too! :udgy:

To me it seemed so obvious that the only normal guy in the circus had to have been the killer...then I figured it out like you did...

Yeah, it does feel good to figure something out in advance. Sometimes I need to be reminded that I do indeed have the ability to use logic :yogi:

Funny you mention acro, because halfway through day 2 of the trial, I figured out how it happened.

This was kind of obvious but in 3-1 I worked out that the poison was in the bottle-necklace. I kept presenting it to early though and getting penelized.

Man, Acro was the only killer I DIDN'T figure out easily. And then Moe just told me. That really made me hate that case, the only time I would've really had to think about who did it, I don't even need to.

I figured it was Acro as soon as I entered Acro's room, even though NOBODY else was there, but Acro was the only one I haven't talked to yet.

oh hell, I do that way too much. In 3-2, for example, I figured out "Hey, this photo only shows the time! It doesn't show the date! That means the photo didn't need to have been taken on the day of the crime, meaning that MaskdeMasque may have NOT stolen the urn on that day...

... as soon as they mentioned the time stamp. .___. I KEPT PRESENTING IT and they're like "what are you talking about Phoenix lol?"

there's some more stuff but that pissed me off soo much goddamn it. And my friend Maya (yes I know an AA fan named Maya, ironically, her favourite character is Trucy) she saw the whole "6-75" = "SL-9" as soon as she got the note and she kept messing up because she kept presenting it.

There were so many hints! EG. 'Iris' having Dahlia's 'oh crap' sprite, the judge calling her 'my dear' and being generally charmed by her, the fact she didn't know about how Iris gave Nick the hood...So she has to be Dahlia, and we know Dahlia is dead and Iris has no spiritual power - so that narrows it down to one black haired individual xD

Spoiler: Behold! The list of my sins!
1-1
- Obvious, but I remember that in my first playthrough the only thing I didn't get right away was the pass...or what was it again...
Well the reason: Why the clock was three hours slow.

1-2
- I actually never did suspect her of anything, but when she turned into evil mode I first thought that this was it...
Thank god all cases weren't short as 1-1. But yeah...In this one I just flow'd in the river. Same speed as the characters did.
Didn't actually solve the case beforehand.
(And to be honest...I actually did suspect Gumshoe a bit when he too the stand :knock-knock:)

1-3
Same as above. Nothing beforehand, though If I remember correctly there are some parts that I did get before Nick.
I don't remember those ones clearly though...
Aaand...To be honest, It was Nick that got the "S.S didn't win" before me.
Just when I saw that option It all became clear to me...Wow...That was kinda cool sentence :gant:

1-4
Only thing I got from the beginning was: ...Naah...Edgey poo can't be guilty...
With this one too I just flow'd with river...yeap...I don't have a clue what the right term actually is, but I guess you know what I mean with: "Flow'd with river"
In the end figuring everything out was a piece of cake.

1-5
Same as the 1-4. Actually...The whole first AA game was like that to me.

2-1
This one was just too obvious...Even though I once again "flow'd with the river" I got everyhting.

2-2
From this one...I remember having a deja vu at some point.
I just got some wild idea somwhere that: "Maybe it wasn't her who died, but actually...!...Ooooh boy..."
I remember having this one day after (in a real life, in school) Hotti had said that he made Inis look by her driving lisence.
Once I had figured that out, it was a bit of frustration that Nick didn't get it sooner...That idiot! ^^

2-3
Only natural. The guys in wheelchair and has no grude against the victim and he possibly couldn't have done it leads to only one conclusion: Has to be him ^^
World is an ironic place, eh?
I remember having another deja vu in this case. I just had an idea 'bout: "...What if they never mentioned to kill the "yellow lips"?..."
After that I just randomly put Regina in my theory and BAM!...The case was solved.

2-4
And here we have the last of my deja vus in JFA...I was actually pretty: "OH FOR F***S SAKE!!" -when Matt show'd his darth vader side.
I just had a though that It's kinda miraculous that every one of Nick clients are actually innocents and it would be kinda cool to once see someone who isn't...
And BAM!!...I didn't make ANY theories after that...

3-1
Only thing I got before hand were the poisonus pills and charm.

3-2
...Need to say more? Though...I must confess that Luke could be the secondesr smart villain in AJ. After Krissy.

3-3
...If we don't count the murder happening twice, it was all just a victory fanfare whole time.

3-4
Obvious.

3-5
I got pretty much of the case right.
And once I remembered that Godot was there, it was all, but sadly, clear to me.

4-1
Heh. Nope. I had to play it twice until I fully understood the whole thing. :gant:
Nick is some good trap maker I must say ^^

4-2
The whole thing bounced from left to right, but I got some parts right.

4-3
Obvious for two reasons:
- They could have made some characters more
- I spoiled myself pretty badly :knock-knock:

4-4
I had spoiled myself...One of the thing I have regretted my whole life...

..And since I listed the cases from AJ too...I guess I can put this one too:
- Thanks so F****NG much to every one who have spoiled some CRITICAL parts from AAI to me! :chinami:
I kill all those persons while they're sleeping!...

I mean...

Just...Go...to...sleep...sweety... :uramidn:

I manage to keep away from GK/AAI spoilers. All I know is:

Spoiler:
There's a flashback case
Wakana Shiraoto's boobs are involved in illegal goings-on
And everything that's general knowlege (like Edgey's assistant's English name is Kay Faraday, and she's a thief)

Oddly enough, the exact thing happened to me on my first playthrough...And then, when I replyayed the game, I forgot completely. I don't know why...

And yeah, Acro was a VERY VERY obvious killer. Actually, I figured out the whole 'bat bit by leon' thing as soon as I read the 'traces of pepper' bit in the court record.

Probably my finest moment in attorney-dom, despite the fact that I hated 2-3's characters....all except Acro, ironically.

If anyone wants a moral booster, just play 1-1. It's so easy, It makes you feel smarter when you play it. Haha, take that, Sahwit!

AAH, I thought AAI was standing for Ace Attorney ONE! :grey:
At least I only read the first few words. *phew*
Oh yeah, and I totally overlooked the "GK" part.

2-2: I figured out that Ini was Mimi when the game wanted me to. It was just too big of a twist. The game was like "Who escaped from the car?", I said Ini, but she didn't have a driver's licence. So I pressed Mimi and they said "How is that possible?!" and Phoenix was like, "The person in the witness' stand is...". I looked at the screen and thought "WAIT A MINUTE!!".

3-5: Oh my god, the identity of the real killer. They asked me who it was, and I only had ONE clue because I didn't suspect him at all! The clue was "something you can only see when it's dark". I looked at every character and I saw Godot's profile and I thought, "Oh no! OH NO! Why would he do this?! He has no motive! Right?!". I thought about the entire case for ten minutes, and finally presented Godot's profile. And when Phoenix ordered the bailiff to turn all the lights off, I died a little inside, because sadly, I was right.

3-5: I THOUGHT I solved a mistery before the game told me, but I was wrong. Because Godot always said (at least in the German version) that he came back from hell, and he ALSO said that concerning Dahlia when she was channelled, AND it said Diego Armando died due to a poisoning, I thought that Godot was just a white haired guy channelling Diego Armando. I didn't know who the white haired guy was, though. Steve Martin maybe?

Did any of you guys solve 1-4 before they wanted you to? I sure didn't.
To be honest, I always knew that it couldn't have been Edgeworth, but I always thought, "If it wasn't him, then what the hell happened on that boat?!"

Yeah, you totally forget that it was 15 years since Edgeworth last saw Hammond, plus the fog. He wouldn't be able to tell it wasn't him on the boat. I think that's what threw everyone off. It was a complicated plan. I mean, shooting him, wearing his coat, throwing his body into the lake, calling Edgeworth out onto the lake, firing twice and diving overboard? Only Manfred von Karma could came up with a plan like that (and the team of writers that wrote the case, of course).

I knew Matt was guilty right away. I knew he hired De Killer to kill him too. It was 2 things that gave it away. First was when De Killer said Matt was innocent. Second was when Matt said he didn't kill Juan. I put two and two together and knew Matt hired De Killer to kill Juan. It turned out to be right.

I got kind of annoyed at how evidence could have very well been presented at a certain point, so I do so and it blows up in my face by making me receive a penalty. I decided to start my 3rd or 4th play through of the first game and I tried presenting the receipt in case 2 of the first game when Redd White says he planted the wire tap the week before September, but I forgot about when to present it entirely. My train of logic was the lamp was bought the day before the murder, thus it could not have been seen then. I just found it weird how I completely forgot about one of the easiest cases ever even after I had beaten it with no problem on my first try. These games can be sort of about trial and error, so I at least learned by taking chances.

On another note, I had no idea Kristoph would have been to blame for the murder in 4-4, but only at first. As the case progresses it becomes more and more obvious, but I thought that was out of left field. So, here is a question: Who was the most unexpected murderer out of the entire series for you personally? Going back to the original post, I'm not talking about discovering who it was really earlier than you expected, I mean discovering the real murderer after following a very thin literal paper trail in a snow storm. I still think some were more obvious than others though. One more thing, going on how many murders Maya has been accused of, do any of you think it will come to a point where she will, in a cruel twist of fate, actually end up committing one? I bet AA fans would sure be pissed about that one, but who knows, it could happen. I'm not saying I'd want it to happen, but Capcom does have some pretty sneaky tricks up their sleeves.

Please excuse the long winded nature of this post by the way.

Adrian said she didn't kill Juan too, you never suspected her at any point of the game?

I'd be lying if I said I didn't. I thought at one point Adrian and Matt were in this together. But I don't know, It just seemed like Matt was always hiding something. He only hires you after De Killer's name was mentioned. Also, why would De Killer kidnap Maya and force Phoenix to defend Matt if Matt was truly "framed by a smart person." His suspicious attitude after being shown Celeste Impax's photo just sealed it for me.
Though there was the knife and button too. I always had my suspicions that they were planted. And why would Matt open a guitar case and leave it opened? I also didn't think the trial would end in one day either, not when 2-2 and 2-3 were 2 trial days.
